Need help deciding how to decorate dining room half of our living room

We use the back room as our sitting room so that is where the tree is & the majority of the decorations. Apart from snowflake window lights, a Christmas tablecloth & a table centrepiece that FIL made for us, I don't really know what to put in the dining room part of the room. (it's one of the long rooms with an archway half way through iykwim).

There's no money for a second tree to go in there & the decorations that are left over are definitely well past their best.

Anyone have any ideas for some way to make it a bit more festive? TIA Xmas Smile

the link doesn't work, but that's probably more my dinosaur of a computer's fault than anything else. Not thought of paper snowflakes, will get some paper & do some cutting with dd1 over the weekend while dd2 has her daytime sleeps.

Thanks abirdinthehand.

Might have a rummage for some old wrapping paper & do paper chains as well.

You've got me thinking now, will probably spend the best part of the weekend cutting & sticking with dd1 in between a trip to a local xmas market & making Sunday lunch with her. Ought to keep her busy enough

OOOh, I like those! Look much prettier than my cut out snowflakes! Think I have a craft knife somewhere so will give some a go tomorrow and then attempt them with dd. Thank-you!
