I'm going to look for the Sainsburys Taste the Difference mini mince pies, IMHO the best shop bought pies.
Last year I bought 2 boxes, troughed one then and saved the other box for Christmas (adult emoticon)

If you buy them now you have to eat them now, or they'll be out of date Hmm

Mmmm, mince pies. Must resist, must resist.

Advent calendars were in Sainsburys on Monday. I restrained myself from buying two Hello Kitty ones (think the offer was 2 for £5) for DDs for this week.
Next week might be a different matter!

Barmy - though creme eggs and hot cross buns seem to be year-round nowadays.

I noticed someone had bought some advent calenders today. Far too early, I'd put them somewhere and forget where until sometime in March 2015.

My DS will be 3. Last year I decided to instill a hearty love of Christmas in him as we are all bonkers for it. It's worked so well that unfortunately he has continued to be in love with it all year long Grin. There's worse things, I suppose.

I'd buy the advent calenders if I were you, they always sell out of Hello Kitty....

Oh I love mince pies. It's the only seasonal thing I don't mind coming too early - I get cross about Hot Cross Buns in January, but mince pies in September is fine.

Ismeyes ~ that's a good point; anything with HK goes quickly.
OK, 2 HK calendars definitely on the shopping list for next week!

ds has two calandars that I need to buy chocs for. So I'll be looking to start buying this sort of thing about now. Will have to potter roiund the shops soon I guess rather than avoid them by getting shopping delivered

Mince pies I'm looking forward too. Not just yet though as we haven't had the sweet fest halloween yet.
