gorgeous, warm, inexpensive mittens - anyone got any recommendations?

I need a pair of lovely, soft and very warm mittens for my mum for Christmas. She has advanced MS so gets very cold hands and her hands are getting a bit claw shaped so suede/sheepskin mittens are not really an option. Stretchy is best. If anyone has any ideas or recommendations I'd be very grateful. I don't want to spend more that £20 if poss as this is an add-on to her 'main' present.

Agree with Cherry - knit some. It's possible to do a pair in two or three evenings.
