I need a pair of lovely, soft and very warm mittens for my mum for Christmas. She has advanced MS so gets very cold hands and her hands are getting a bit claw shaped so suede/sheepskin mittens are not really an option. Stretchy is best. If anyone has any ideas or recommendations I'd be very grateful. I don't want to spend more that £20 if poss as this is an add-on to her 'main' present.

Thanks all.

Have you thought about buying ski mits? Not terribly glam but very warm.

okay, just read your thread title properly. Ski Mits not a great option for the "gorgeous" element

can you knit? it doesnt take long to knit mittens, and if you buy posh wool they would be lovely

Just read your OP again - perhaps those options won't be warm enough?

I love the Accessorise ones - I shall check them out at the weekend.

Thanks so much everyone and may all your present-buying be stress-free.

Agree with Cherry - knit some. It's possible to do a pair in two or three evenings.
