Anyone know if this box on wheels with dog-shaped fur on top is worth £60?

I need some advice because we went to see Santa in his grotto today and he told her that should be fine Angry

They have it for £34 in Asda and John Lewis at the moment, that doesn't seem so bad. I bought one for DD, she wants a real puppy so this is quite cheap really!

DD's special request is for a FurReal walking cat - the only thing she asked for! I managed to find this hideous cute thing yesterday for the bargain price of 25 euros. Oh it is so shite cute! I feel your pain. Shock at £60!

Portofino 25 euros is a bargain.

We just googled "walking puppy" and as they all rolled walked past on the screen, I thought, "I bet it's the most expensive one."

blametheparents, thank you. I am checking their websites... £30 was the figure I was prepared to pay so I can stretch it another £4...

Hi,

My DS has one, it is good, but there are cheaper versions for £20 in Argos. We have both and the Gogo is much better. Don't forget to factor in the batteries!

Dd has the mother version (lulu) and it is, as you said, a box that purrs and rolls over slightly mechanically when you stroke its (wiry and completely unrealistic) head.

She has also requested the babies this year.

sigh

Hmm, thanks for the tips all. I have seen a very similar one for about £20, which I might buy instead, as I know full well that it will be ignored by 2011!

I've succumbed and got the one I think Porto is talking about- £17 at various places and £19 at John Lewis's. It's the baby of Lulu apparently and walks.

Furry animals that move by themselves are the one thing that I've sworn are never going to cross the threshold of this house (can you imagine them invading the household en masse, all swarming through the door?) They give me the creeps! (same with roombas) I hate it when I go into the toyshop and there's some pig roaming free over the floor, heading for me... As you were.
