Low-carb bootcamp

Week 4 - Pre-summer Low Carb Bootcamp: are you KOKO?!

BIWI · 06/06/2016 07:40

Morning all!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Doom Fabulousness

Week 3 might not have been kind to you - and here's the warning that week 4 might be the same Sad

But hopefully by now you're starting to adjust to low carbing, and should be feeling some of the other benefits, even if the scales are resolutely ignoring you!

If you're struggling, come here and tell us about it. Don't self-sabotage by thinking 'oh fuck it' and diving into the carbs!

Morning and thanks for the new thread.

Another pound off so happy with that. Measurements Sts. Will update the spreadsheet when I get on my laptop later.

Feeling great, lots of energy, sleeping better and longer, running better too so expecting shrinkage that way!

Enjoying tea with d. Cream and coconut oil for breakfast. Might have some coyo in a bit.

Not sure what to do food wise today. I have various meats in marinades in the fridge so will decide as the day goes on. Might even make myself a nice bacon double cheese burger for tea?

Have a great day / week

Good morning. I woke early and soooo hungry this morning. So breakfast at 6am for me today, It's usually much later (work from home). I had left over roast swede with 2 rashers of streaky bacon, an egg, a big blob of butter and a cup of black tea. Surprisingly lovely but I am till hungryConfused. Currently drinking my first bottle of water. If i'm still hungry when that's gone I'm off to make coffee and cream.

Anyway I did remember to weigh before I ate. 209 Lb so a pound down. I'm happy with that. Could someone add me please. (Something odd happened with my weight on the chart last week, new weight added but loss didn't total up)

Veryflummoxed 209.

Thanks to everyone for all the fantastic support and good luck Smileand Flowers for all.

I have lost another lb! Quite pleased, as I weighed late last week (Weds rather than Mon), so this time has been less than a week.

It has been week 6 for me though, as I started 3 weeks before the official Bootcamp. In total I have lost 5lb in 6 weeks. A bit slower than I would have liked, tbh, but having said that, I have always found it extremely hard to lose weight on any diet/weight loss plan, and at least I'm seeing some results.

The good thing is, I'm really enjoying the food, feeling other benefits (better skin, better moods, less arthritic pain), and have finally stopped drinking too much alcohol. So there's no way I'm stopping this WOE! Smile

Morning everyone. Well done all the losers! :) I've only lost 0.7lb, but at least it's something.

I woke up really hungry today, too. Must go raid the fridge!

Morning, well done those who have lost and Flowers for those that haven't.
I have lost 0.6lbs this week! It may be a fairly modest loss, but I'll take that. I wasn't really expecting to lose at all as I had a carb laden Wednesday, it's TOTM and I was off work. Was week 4 for me, so I have lost 7.2lbs in 4 weeks. I need to lose another 2.1 to get into another stone zone, so hopefully will happen in the next week or two.
glen I agree with Wan, difficult to beat a double bacon cheese burger.
I'm absolutely loving all the photos of peoples food, very inspiring.
Food today will be:
B - creamy coffee x2, halloumi and olives
L - tuna mayo, olives and salad
D - don't know yet, but have a shop coming tonight (rather than champagne Grin), so will have lots of choice.
S - spicy chai latte or two.

KOKO all.

Well done on the losses everyone!

My scales are blatantly ignoring my good behaviour - 2 pounds on apparently.... 177 even though was 175 2 days ago....

So, I'm blaming: period due, some poor choices in restaurants over half term, a few too many strawberries and g&ts as 'treats' and the dreaded week 3/4 stall. Also a bit bunged up Blush

I'm going to post all food this week to see if I'm doing anything wrong. I've had no big 'cheats' and been good with my water. Size 14 jeans still on though Smile so that's something!

Morning all!
Stayed the same - please could someone put in my weight (again) wintersea 165
Thank you!
Food wise I have been on track but I did have a few white wines over the last few days so I've got to get back on it this week.
Working mainly from home so no excuse on the water front either!
Hoping I won't get draggy energy fail feeling after overdoing the carbs with the wine...
Do other people go through carb flu again if they have a slip up?

Morning all. Looks like some positive losses this morning. I'm 1lb down which I'm quite pleased about, that's 9lb in three weeks. I do feel a wee bit frustrated that it's not quicker but more important to get there and stay there! I have not been really hungry once in the three weeks and my portion sizes are half of what they were. I do have more energy. I have taken ds3 swimming at the leisure centre twice this weekend and even took his little friend. Normally I can only face the pool at the gym. I am still getting sudden energy crashes but that's more my CFS/fibre than this WOE I'm sure.
KOKO!

Too true, BIWI! Back to basics for me, hopefully easier now half term over and back into work routine, I think I'll focus on BC this week as I think I've been over generous with the strawberries, alcohol and peanut butter...

Stalled!

The great thing about BC is that I was prepared for this, can't deny a tiny bit of disappointment, but I know it is usual and I just need to keep going.

Thanks to all of you who put your time into it, it really is appreciated, couldn't do this without you! Flowers

Morning all, another one who's stalled here. I know we were warned but it's so nice to see the scales moving downwards and when they STS its a bit demotivating. On a good note though something must still be working because my summer clothes are fitting better so I think inches may be disappearing somewhere.

Well done to all on the losses and lots of resolutions to get through the stall weeks.

Can someone add me please, MissRainbowBrite 142 Flowers
