I will join you!! There are lots of us now aren't there, and I can't believe we have a full thread! Thanks all for your messages, you are all so lovely and supportive. I am indeed quite pleased with my body for sorting it out by itself - not keen on being admitted to hospital.

I am sure I'll feel better soon, just feel so tired at the moment. Also put on a good half a stone whilst pg as eating stopped me feeling sick so am feeling delightfully blobby and fat...a healthy eating regime calls, but not just yet!! Have indeed had a few glasses of wine recently which has helped relax me a bit.

Good luck to all with this month's ttc!

Thanks Roque.

I've put on weight, but that's because I have a thing for Pringles (a tube at a time).

Daisy5 - I'm real upset you got the last post on the old thread

Cece, Rowing, Heron, Duchesse, UnderV ..... how are you all? We never did hear from Bambilocket again. I always wonder how she's getting on - IVF can be sooooooooo emotional.

Well I'm back off to lurking paradise. I'm due around 28.07 so I might start a 'holding hands' thread like Heron did to ensure that I get pregnant

Hi Xserial thanks for starting the new thread! Don't be daft, as if we could forget about you.
I'm on day twentysomething and don't think this is a successful month as no symptoms at all, so it looks like I will be on fighting the big fight just like Daisy.
You definitely sound perkier Roque!
Is anyone doing any kind of fitness type stuff as part of general life and a bit for TTC?

Report
xserialshopper · 10/07/2008 12:39

Hi Rowing

My fitness type stuff is 1. riding my bike and 2. bding every other night until cd26

Xserial - is it an outside bike?
I have an indoors bike, but only use it once a fortnight.
It's very noisy!
I have been trying to do a bit walk three times a week and have learnt one pilates thing called 100s. My tum is awful since DS.

Hello I have found you all! [waves]

I am off to doc in a week or so (about lack of success TTC) and she is bound to tell me to lose weight. She told me last time that excess weigth causes higher oestrogen levels and that is why I was getting heavier periods.

Not been on for a while, like the new thread name! I am really frustrated this month, as I was already to start my Menopur injections this month but couldn't as the Fertility nurse was on holiday. Arhh!

Hi Hants!
Cece, was Saturday day 28? So do you think it might be more like day 34 as your AF day?
I'm on day 26 and feel very PMS'y, emotional, sore boobs all that stuff.

I did a 5 mile walk yesterday, this is about two months since I started walking and I definitely find it easier to do big walks now, without having very sore feet. Got a pilates book out of the library I work in yesterday. Has anyone tried. I hope it is good for my tum and perhaps improves circulation to that whole region. Hopefully, improve our chances.

XSerial - What Kind of bike you have???

We are just off to the sales - carpet shop sales, very glam!
Then I must finish making DP's shorts, before his bum is hanging out of his old ones.

Report
xserialshopper · 11/07/2008 12:33

I'm envious Rowing - a 5 mile walk? I would have fainted after a mile. I have an 'outside' bike which I really enjoy riding - but only when the sun shines and it's warm outside (so yeh I haven't been on for a few days)

I always watch that advert on the shopping channel for the pilates with the ring thingy. It looks great to use and do, but have never actually done pilates. I have a Gabby Logan Twins workout dvd but have only watched a bit I don't think I will actually get around to doing it though

I need to lose 1 stone to have the right BMI for my height. I would actually like to lose 2 stones, but, being on Clomid has made me continually hungry and I feel like a fat blob. I'm 5ft 6 and 12 stones by the way. I don't think my weight has stopped me from conceiving 'cos I was 10 stones way back when, when we first started ttc.

Hi Hants - 'course you can join.

Hi Cece - how long are your cycles normally?

I find that a lot of the yummy 40+ers that have joined this thread only post once here and then never post again on this or any other thread. Yeh, I was a real saddo and 'searched' everyones name on mn. But, I also found out that KD73 is due dec 2008 and Triggles is due Jan 2009. Shame they never came back and told us.

So the moral of the story is lurkers 'when you get up the duff could you let us know?.

Hi there girls

Well done for the new thread Xserial. I was looking at the "full" message on old thread in confusion so great that you've sorted us all out. Maybe you can arrange for some more BFPs for this month?

Roquefort so sorry about your MC but you are right that it is good that you didnt have to go through an ERPC so at least your body is sorting itself out.

Walking and sewing Rowing? I'm very impressed, especially the sewing!

Have a good weekend everyone. I'm off to a big birthday party and have bought some gorgeous killer heels! I'm hoping we wont be out on the grass cos I'll be hobling around with big clods of grass and mud on my heels. Better find a table to sit at instead. No news of my AF which is now, hmmm, at least 30 days overdue!! Maybe I had better join the menopause thread

cece · 11/07/2008 13:59

Hello,

Having a rest. Really knackered after cutting the grass. Took over an hour Luckily finished before the rain started. Also have veggies roasting in oven for cous cous salad, an apple cake and a meringue for a pavolva.

Not much cleaning done yet and MIL and BIl due to arrive soon...
Will be slightly interrupted by taking DC to their gym classes later. But a least I'll get to sit down and rest! LOL

Roll on tomorrow and the jugs of Pimms

Oh and my cycles used to be 34 days. Then went to 32 days last year. This year I have had a 26 day and a 36 day one with various inbetween

Report
rowingboat · 11/07/2008 18:46

Cece - Oh dear, so it's difficult to say when AF is due. Hopefully, it won't come at all and you will get a bfp, you certainly deserve it with all of your bding.
Sounds very yummy all that grub, 'specially the pavlova, mmmmm!
Xserial, you stalker! I love it!
It would be nice to hear about bfps, to give us some hope, agreed.
Gem, all I can suggest is pack a pair of walking shoes as well, in your gorgeous handbag.

Hi all us fabulous over 40's.

I couldn't keep up with the old thread and would lose myself trying to read all the posts. However will try to be more chatty and promise to keep up. I am ttc no 2, oh just realised that sounds like a poo, and this is our 6 month. I do get despondent and I am back with the ov sticks.

We could start a bike theme on here as I bought a new outdoor bike last week but have not yet had the time to go out.
Sadly I need to lose 4 stone .
I am rubbish at tracking cd days as af can come anytime between days 25 and 45 and bd every other night is an impossible task.

Nice to be back, good luck to everyone.

Hi Giggly nice to see you back here

I got really, really down about 3 weeks ago. I felt sooooo down the I even posted on the Hut of Doom thread Yeh it was that bad. But once I had posted on the thread I realised that ACTUALLY I couldn't stay that Down long enough to post again.

I've pinned my hopes on Clomid and my tube blockage surgery thingy in August. I have sort off decided though, that If I'm not pregnant by December I'm giving up 5 years is a long time........

It's busy on here tonight!
Hi Giggly, I didn't think it was a poo.
I have to lose a stone (I think) at least, and was walking as a way of building up to jogging, but haven't managed that yet.
The weather was becoming an issue for me and I wasn't getting out, so I finally just put DS's rain cover on (hasn't been on for over a year) and my raincoat and just went out in the rain.
It's probably easier for me to do walks because I only work in the evenings and at the weekends, so have the whole day to walk. Recently I have started to walk back from work as well.
Hating this fashion for smocks at the moment, not very nice with big boobs and big tum - I look like Hattie Jacques (Sp?)
Hut of doom - I posted there ages ago, but I think I got told off for being too negative.
