AIBU?

AIBU - pants at night

So reading the bedding thread there seems to be the suggestion that some people don't wear pants at night. Shock This is seriously a pearl clutching moment for me.

So AIBU to ask - doesn't everybody wear pants at night, whether or not they sleep otherwise naked or wear PJ's? And wouldn't your sheets or PJ's need more frequent washing if you don't wear pants at night?

What ghastly ectoplasmic fluid are you expecting to gush forth all night from your fundament? Shock

I don't wear anything, not even pants. Wash bedding once a week but can't really see why sleeping naked would make them any dirtier.

I always wipe properly after using the toilet.

I don't understand why people wear anything at night. To restrictive. I wash my sheets at least once per week.

Letting the air get to your bits is beneficial.

I like to free my fundamentals for at least a few hours out of every 24.

There's nothing gushy going on here thank you that would require overly frequent washing of bedding.

And they're knickers, not pants Grin

Yes, YABU to ask. 1) It's none of your business. 2) This is a TAAT which is also U. 3) If you haven't realised by now that different people do different things you are seriously deranged.

I wear pj's, no knickers. I wear them for 2 nights usually. Why would my sheets need extra washing?

Why would you wear knickers at night?

I like my bits to get a bit of an airing.

what air will get to your bits?
unless you don't have a blanket and have you legs akimbo there is not much airflow, knickers or no knickers.

knickers in bed here, otherwise I feel vulnerable.

If air can't get through a pair of knickers you must be wearing some weird knickers. Confused
Man made fibre gusset? Sad

I never used to wear anything.

Sadly the pelvic floor wasn't what it used to be post Menopause, so now I'm back in knickers.

I'm all for being naked whenever you can, there'll come a time when it isn't practical.

I sleep naked - even in others peoples houses Smile

I wear no pants in bed. That plus baggy cotton pyjama trousers means that my bits get an airing, which offsets the dreaded thrush.

I'm glad I shared that with you all.

Used to sleep naked but now I'm in and out of bed every 5 minutes due to newborn so wear pants and a t-shirt.

Unless you're scooching across the mattress like a dog with worms, I'm not sure how an unclothed undercarriage could make any difference to sheet cleanliness.

No, because if you have knickers on then you aren't naked are you.

Fwiw, unless it's period week, I have guests or I am sleeping somewhere else, I sleep in the buff, not even knickers.

I wear pants if I'm wearing a nightie but don't with Pyjamas. I have to wear something at night as can't sleep without anything on.

Here we go again!

I don't - I was brought up to believe that your bits needed to air at night, wearing knickers would feel weird (except when having a period)
