Thanks for the new thread @Avocuddles

Yes, I'm thinking DH thinks 5 weeks will fly by, I'm thinking wait a couple of weeks then suggest we book a scan around 10 weeks, just to make sure everything is ok. I am exhausted, I think partly due to an adrenaline crash after the scan. I don't think I realised quite how wound up about it I was!

Hope everyone has some nice weekend plans, ours will be quiet, which I'm very much looking forward to. x

Littlegoth · 28/02/2020 14:42

Thanks for the new thread! Just got back from my scan, so far so good. I’m now measuring bang on 9 weeks, gained a week over the last 3 weeks. Still not any less stressed but hopefully will relax a bit the more positive news we get. Next one in 2 weeks. Good luck to us all xx

Littlegoth · 28/02/2020 14:45

@tmc14 the stress is exhausting! I’m going for a lie down x

Bellsx · 28/02/2020 14:54

Please can I join? I have one beautiful DD of 12yrs and after going through 1 MC and 3 MMC after having her we got our BFP on Christmas eve and I'm currently 15+1. Due to the recurrent miscarriages I was put under my local NHS recurrent miscarriage clinic so had early scans which were so helpful but also very scary and nerve wracking at the same time due to what you might find out (and what we had found before at our other 12 week scans) but thankfully all has gone amazingly well so far but the worrying and feeling scared has never gone away! Due to what we have been through before I am lucky enough to have been offered another scan between my last one and the 20 week one which I am very grateful for so soon I'll be getting to see our little miracle again 💗 again I'm starting to get anxious and over thinking things all the time but also really trying hard to think positive, I know you will all understand exactly what it's like and that's why it so nice having you other ladies to talk too.
I hope all your pregnancies are happy and healthy ones and here's hoping we get our little miracles that we've always dreamed of.

Treaclepie19 · 28/02/2020 15:18

Thanks for the new thread ❤

SammiLou2312 · 28/02/2020 16:25

Thanks for the new thread @Avocuddles

So happy for all the good scan news lately...here's hoping for more and more over the next few weeks. We have got our 12 week scan date now and get to see new specialists after it. Seems so far away still. I just wish we could do our own scans at home on a daily basis lol!

@Bellsx welcome to the group x

Knotemma · 28/02/2020 16:40

Thanks @Avocuddlesfor setting up the new thread. I left the house today! And I managed to eat some sweet potato fries! I'm very excited, even though I'm knackered now 😂. Met my dad for an hour and then got my shopping in, so have tried to add in some new foods to try out.

So pleased to see some more positive scan news, it's always brilliant to hear!

Hope you all have good weekend plans x

cloclo92 · 28/02/2020 18:36

Can I join ?
I had two miscarriages last year. Currently 18 weeks pregnant tomorrow 🤞🏻🌈

How is everyone coping ?
Iv been a total wreck I'm so so so scared of loosing this baby. I'm suffering extreme anxiety with every ache and pain. I don't no what is normal and what isn't so I'm doing everyone's head in as I relate any type of pain to my miscarriages and it can all get a bit much at times. :(
Trying to stay off goggle!

Avocuddles · 28/02/2020 19:25

Welcome @cloclo92 @Bellsx. We can definitely all sympathise with how scary pregnancy after loss is, I for one don't know what a 'normal' pregnancy feels like so it's comforting to have this amazing group of women to share our questions and fears with and it's definitely been a real comfort. It's fantastic that you're both well into your second trimester. I know exactly what you mean about having to try to stay off google @cloclo92, I've been madly reading everything on coronavirus this evening and just giving myself another (probably completely unnecessary) worry to add to the already long list....

@Bellsx it's great that they're giving you another scan between 12 and 20 weeks. As my losses were both in the first trimester I doubt they'll offer me one but I'm thinking I might book a private one around 16 weeks as 8 weeks seems like a very long time to wait.....

@SammiLou2312 how long do you have to wait for your 12 week scan? I'd hoped it would be bang on 12 weeks so when the appointment initially came through when I'd be just over 13 weeks I felt gutted, though as I'm away that date it's now scheduled at 12 +3.
Saw my consultant today and my blood levels are fine at the moment so no changes yet to my daily regime of injections and aspirin. Back again in four weeks to see if the dose needs adjusting, but good to know that the meds are doing their job for now....

@Avocuddles it's booked for 12th march. I'll be 12+4 I think. My bump is seriously looking like a proper bump already lol. Feel so big today haha. How long til your scan?

SammiLou2312 · 28/02/2020 19:36

Seriously, is anyone else feeling big?

DressingGown87 · 28/02/2020 19:53

First scan at 6+3 on Monday and I’m anxious already! Need to find something to do this weekend, to keep my mind busy.

Avocuddles · 28/02/2020 20:38

Wow @SammiLou2312 I don't mean this in an offensive way but you look more like four or more months! I wish I had a bump so I could outwardly feel more pregnant but know that plenty of first time mums don't 'pop' until 20+ weeks so will try to be patient!

My scan is on 19th March - ages away!

SunStruck · 28/02/2020 20:38

Thanks for starting a new thread @avocuddles 😄

@SammiLou2312 oh that is a proper bump!!! How lovely! Are you trying to hide it from co workers etc at this point? Is this your first?

Congratulations to all the ladies with good scans lately, such a relief ☺️

I've been feeling so sick all week so been a bit quiet 😔 hopefully it gets better next week. Been forcing myself to eat veg, the only thing I want to eat is carbs 🤦🏻‍♀️ also been feeling completely wiped out, I had a 1.5h nap today and haven't moved from the sofa! I'm nearly falling asleep at work each day, not good!

How is everyone else feeling?

SammiLou2312 · 28/02/2020 20:48

@Avocuddles - I know right. I feel huge! Apparently my mum put most of her weight on in first 4 months with me so maybe I'll be same... Hopefully your scan gets here quickly, I think I'm actually more excited than nervous for mine...just want to tell everyone now lol
@SunStruck - yes it's my first. We were trying to keep it quiet til after 12 weeks but everyone at my office have pretty much worked it out now. As for family and friends, we just keep making excuses as to why we can't see them haha. Can't really hide that bump lol 😂

Knotemma · 28/02/2020 21:34

@SammiLou2312 I have major bump envy... I'm just bloated and pudgy around the middle but nothing "pregnant" looking yet. You look fab x

SammiLou2312 · 28/02/2020 21:50

@knotemma thanks sweetie. You'll get your bump soon I'm sure x

UrsulaSings · 28/02/2020 21:54

Hi everyone, I was just wondering if I am allowed to join? I have seen your thread around for a while but wasnt sure if I'm allowed in. The reason being that I was pregnant last year and had a 'termination for medical reasons' after the doctor recommended I didnt keep my baby. It very, very much felt like a loss and still does and I didnt cope very well at all when it would have been my due date in December. I didnt know if I was allowed in though because it wasnt a miscarraige. But it's one hundred million percent not what i would have chosen for myself or baby and was completely heartbreaking having to go through that. If I'm not allowed it's ok. I have been very anxious about this pregnancy and had an early scan which made me feel better. Won't ever stop thinking about my first little one though.

Treaclepie19 · 28/02/2020 22:16

@UrsulaSings of course you are! I'm also here after a termination for medical reasons.
I'm so sorry for your loss Flowers

There's also this thread for women in our situation www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_tests_choices/3659047-Support-thread-for-women-who-are-pregnant-or-TTC-after-a-termination-for-abnormalities-Thread-5

Knotemma · 28/02/2020 22:22

@UrsulaSings you are absolutely most welcome here. We've all suffered different kinds of loss, and you absolutely don't have to justify your reasons for being here. The whole thing sounds like it must have been really traumatic, you have my deepest condolences. I believe that there are other ladies here that have been in similar situations, please don't ever think that you don't belong here.

Gentle congratulations on this pregnancy, be kind to yourself and feel free to vent all the weird and wonderful things that come into your head or that you just need to get out. Goodness knows.i do. This thread has been a lifeline for me through a difficult first trimester (I'm fairly sure that I have Hyperemesis gravidarum, but do not have a diagnosis because I've managed to avoid hospitalisation).

LittleBrownBaby · 28/02/2020 22:33

Can I join please.

I had a mc last October and I'm now around 6 1/2 weeks. Had 2 scans already because of bleeding. Hoping to see a heartbeat on Monday.

UrsulaSings · 28/02/2020 22:39

@Treaclepie19 im sorry to hear of your experience. Thank you for pointing me towards the other thread. I just cried my eyes out reading all those babies names at the start. It's absolutely heartbreaking.

@Knotemma thank you for the warm welcome. I was genuinely worried I wouldnt be welcome here. Even though I did it because I didnt want my baby to experience pain and suffering and I couldnt have changed that outcome, theres still a certain level of blame I give myself.

@LittleBrownBaby I'm sorry to hear of your loss in Oct. I also have a scan on monday so feeling quite nervous. What time is yours?

Treaclepie19 · 28/02/2020 22:42

@UrsulaSings here if you want to chat. I know how you feel with the guilt. I started a blog and it has helped me work through some of it. You're not alone.

UrsulaSings · 28/02/2020 22:54

@Treaclepie19 thank you. I'm feeling really sad tonight. I finished work at 2 and I've had a headache for a week now got really bad today so came home and went to sleep and woke up a couple hours ago and just been lying around in bed feeling sorry for myself! I'm going to make a conscious effort now to get myself a drink and snack and sit up and watch some tv or something for a bit. OH is out tonight so doesnt help that I'm on my own. It's nice to know theres other people out there.
