I am talking pubic hair. What does everyone do with it? I hate mine (especially as I get older it's getting wilder!) but what I hate more is bumpy itchy red skin whenever I try to tackle it. However I seem to be under the impression that most women are smooth and basically hairless down there and I must seem like some sort of cave woman or 70s porn star in comparison.

My husband hasn't mentioned that he minds at all...but maybe he does?

And if everyone is hairless and neat down there please please tell me how to do it without hideous rashes!!!

Umm I don't do anything unless am going to be wearing a bikini.

Once in a blue moon when I can be bothered I trim it with a bikini trimmer or steal his beard trimmer and strim it down! I never shave/veet/wax it all off though as I just end up with horrendous ingrown hairs

A visit to any gym or swimming pool will tell you that most women are not hairless! I think that there's a tiny minority of women who actually remove their pubic hair entirely or who get bikini waxes on a regular basis. I know lots of alpha female city types who go for regular beauty treatments and don't know anyone who gets a bikini wax. Maybe it's rich sahms who are doing it but I think it's vastly exaggerated by the media.

Nothing at all

Not hairless but I trim so nice and short and tweeze everything else so just a neat small triangle area left, if you get what I mean. I wouldn't have the time to keep it waxed plus I hate the regrowth and I hate hair removal creams so tweezing works best for me

I use an electric trimmer thingy all over. I think it trims to 5mm long. It's quick and easy, and I just use it sporadically when it feels like it's getting uncomfortably long - more so in summer when it's warm. When I go on a beach holiday, I get my bikini line waxed professionally.

I vary from sporting a full bush to having it all removed. Depends on a number of factors - whether I can be arsed, holidays, swimming, etc.

At the moment, I get waxed. I go to a beauty therapist that uses hot peelable wax, not strips. It's slightly stingy/uncomfortable for a few seconds while she's removing the wax but it's over in about 20 minutes. No rashes and it lasts about 4 weeks.

I think it's a myth that most women are hairless. I'd say that among my friends we range from 50% who do absolutely nothing up to some basic trimming - and the other 50% that have a basic bikini wax, up to the full lot off.

I do as little as possible, which is to say on the rare occasions I go swimming I do my bikini line, but that's it. And I'm very hairy Grin. I get rashes too, and as for trimming it (ie cutting the hair shorter) I ended up with blunt hairs that caught in my pants and were itchy as fuck. No thanks.

I used to wax and found it uncomfortable, embarrassing and it looked awful most of the time. I now trim the hair with scissors or a bikini trimmer and if needed shave round the bikini line. If you don't do it too often the regrowth is not crazy and it doesn't irritate the skin.

I use nair, no ingrowns and no rashes, once month for 10 years or so.
Have burnt myself a couple of times by leaving it on too long but discomfort went after a couple of days so not life threatening. Dont mind hair there but it does get more musty and just seems more sweaty on me and its only once a month so doable.

If mine wasn't creeping down my thighs I probably wouldn't bother with it at all these days, but seeing as I have to wear a team sports kit which rides a little higher than is decent, I shave off the low-lying inside leg carpets stragglers.

Mrsemcgregor it's really not, maybe it was the first time or two but after the first hair or two is gone it's fine. As the hair grows back at different rates you are always very tidy, but I just leave tweezers in my en suite and everytime I go to the loo I take a few hairs while I'm at it 😂 Blush

Bit of a trim and a shave round the edges. When I can be bothered...

I shave the sides and trim the rest so it's short and neat...I have a 'wide' triangle (not a strip). I never have any issues with itching or soreness from shaving, just like I never do when I shave my legs. A good, expensive razor is a must though.

This is very encouraging! What got me thinking about it was I went to the dr today and had a iud fitted (fun) and afterwards came home for a hot bath because of the cramping. It dawned on me in the bath that I was a wee bit wild down there and suddenly felt really embarrassed about exposing all to the dr! I wondered if I was the hairiest woman she had seen all day!

Au naturel here. A nice soft cushion is far more comfortable than sore skin or short bristles.
It's a very recent thing to take it all off, and I think it's just a passing fashion.

www.argos.co.uk/m/static/Product/partNumber/5534612.htm One of these kind of things. No itching because it doesn't shave it right off. I'm guilty of leaving it wild most of the time. I hate the fully shaved look on men or women. Bald genitalia are just not that aesthetically pleasing! Personal preference I guess.

In the past I've gone completely hairless and I really liked the feel of it. I got it waxed in a salon every four weeks. Me and the beautician were on very good terms as you can imagine.

Now I still have monthly waxed but leave a landing strip.

I might go back full hairless in spring
