So frustrating watching this - surely some of this parenting falls into the neglect category?

Agree re phone, it took too long for her to put it down or for her mum to remove it from her!

It's all very sad and as the dentist said, it's nearly always preventable.

The phone thing made me want to put my foot through the TV!

12 milk teeth out?! I'd be devastated.

This woman with Tallulah needs a fucking slap.

I know several nursery/reception age children who have had up to 12 baby teeth removed unfortunately.

Does Tallulah's mum not understand how much pain she is in with her teeth?

I'm speechless!

Yes, Talulah's mum was quite open about just doing whatever to get an easy life. She isn't mistakenly doing what she thinks is best for her child, a bottle of juice is just easier.

age 13 and 19 stone?! 4.5 put on in the last year? oh that poor girl

She couldnt even be arsed to get her to that appointment on time.

I was sent to a dietician when i was 8 cos my doctor thought i was overweight. i DONT think its a good idea personally. Same with slimming clubs.....not for kids.

I did become an overweight adult finally losing ten stone when i was 29/30 but the trouble is you have to be mentally ready.

It is all so sad.

I mean, we all 'give in' every now and again - a couple of sweets here or there. But really - Tallullah's mother thinks it's not the food she eats - she thinks it's Thyroid? Not the fact that she's shoving way too much crap food and into her kids' faces? Sad Poor things. Looks like the mum is the same with herself as well so perhaps she was brought up the same and genuinely doesn't see it?

And OMG the teeth all lined up like that.....!Shock

PinkSquash · 18/02/2015 22:31

This is shocking really, such lazy parenting.

piggychops · 18/02/2015 22:32

The clinicians are all being very diplomatic about it...

I always try not to judge but the mum of Tallulah just seems to not want to accept what she is doing to her poor children

ChantenayCarrot1 · 18/02/2015 22:32

The portion sizes are simply far too big. Heavens.

This is such a depressing programme, not only for the overweight children with tooth decay. Some of those kids are so rude!

Report
EveDallas · 18/02/2015 22:34

The teeth really upset me. DD had to have 2 out last year, I know it was my fault; DD was a water refuser and had juice. We were really good with brushing, but her two back uppers just got missed too often. I can't imagine 12 teeth being removed Sad
