Here we are. Sleep deprived, emotional and craving all things sugary just to survive the day.

Tiredemma Fri 03-Jan-14 09:38:44

and now she sleeps.....

Gerty1002 Fri 03-Jan-14 10:01:20

My Ds seems to be doing some catch up with long morning naps these past few days... must learn to sleep when he sleeps!

Tiredemma Fri 03-Jan-14 10:03:28

must learn to sleep when he sleeps!

I have my two eldest at home as its half term- impossible to get any sleep with them bounding around the house (looking for food etc!)

Gerty1002 Fri 03-Jan-14 10:40:11

Nightmare! I feel for you!

cakebaby Fri 03-Jan-14 15:12:23

We have managed an afternoon nap together for the 1st time ever. Co slept, ds latched on almost the whole time, but you can't have everything I suppose! Yes gerty ds was fashionably late arriving in sept! Dunno why our post natal thread died hmm

cakebaby Fri 03-Jan-14 15:17:13

Thanks for starting the thread tired smile

Tiredemma Fri 03-Jan-14 15:19:05

well- today she has been 'good' (most days she is 'good') its just the nights.

DP is giving me ear plugs tonight and im sleeping in the spare room.

cakebaby Fri 03-Jan-14 21:03:02

tired happy sleeps for tonight seething with jealousy

My ds just cannot stay asleep. In bed 2 hrs & 3 wake ups so far. He's under the weather so not sure if due to that or regression or an unhappy combination of both. Either way, all our bad habits we go it rid of in the last 6 wks have been reinstated. Meh.....

cakebaby Sat 04-Jan-14 10:34:56

How did it go? Ds woke every hr from 1930 to 0300 then every 2. Hideous.

Tiredemma Sat 04-Jan-14 16:32:33

I went to bed at 8pm. Fell straight to sleep- I heard DD wake at 2.20am and DP fed her and changed her- put her straight back down and she slept until 6.10 this morning. I got up with her- fed, change- stuck her in her baby seat in front of BabyTv shock and I lay on the sofa (I was still so tired). She went back to sleep until 8.30 am.

yesterday though she wouldnt take any milk in the afternoon- so her last bottle at 7pm I put in 7oz instead of the usual 5oz. So im not sure if that 'extra' top up made her more settled?

Im not getting my hopes up. I would imagine that I could well be awake most of the night again tonight.

cakebaby Sat 04-Jan-14 19:40:51

FFS ds been in bed 40 mins & 2 wake ups already. He CANNOT seem to stay asleep without me beside him, preferably with my nipple in his mouth. Is co-sleeping to blame, or illness, or regression....oh bloody hell, what have I done?!

Tiredemma Sat 04-Jan-14 20:13:32

How old is he cakebaby?

( I put DD to bed at 7pm and I have been up to her 4 x already.)

cakebaby Sat 04-Jan-14 20:20:30

4 months today! Been poorly with d&v virus we're on day 15 now so could be the cause of our newly developed sleep issues. Gave in & fed to sleep after 40 mins howling with ds by his side in bed. Asleep

cakebaby Sat 04-Jan-14 20:21:17

Whoops...... in 5 mins & still asleep now in co sleeper side car thingy .

Tiredemma Sat 04-Jan-14 20:26:27

Was he born on 7th sept?

cakebaby Sat 04-Jan-14 20:43:42

Oh jeez I'm more tired than I thought. 3 sept, 17 wks! Gone to bed, mn-ing in dark! Little bugger is stirring again.

Gerty1002 Sat 04-Jan-14 20:44:11

With my Ds it seems to be the first hour he's really unsettled, then on and off until his midnight feed. Thankfully then he seems to settle from 1-4/5am but is awful after that (isn't hungry) until I give in and cosleep, during which time I get little sleep as he still snuffles but he will stay there until 7am.

So very tired are we that we've arranged for DS to sleep out at my DM's next week (literally ten steps around the corner) which will be the first night he's slept away from us except when in intensive care. I'm going to be a nervous wreck but I think we really need it.

cakebaby Sat 04-Jan-14 21:01:39

gerty my ds was similar until 2 weeks ago. I could live with it but gradually co slept earlier in the night til he came in with me at 3 but he now latches on continually fy

cakebaby Sat 04-Jan-14 21:02:14

Whoops....again......from 3 am

Tiredemma Sat 04-Jan-14 22:04:15

Here's to another night!

cakebaby Sun 05-Jan-14 08:54:35

Wow, 10 wake ups last night. What about you tired ?

flopsybunny45 Sun 05-Jan-14 09:51:11

Cakebaby - my dd is 18 wks. She's never done more than 3 hours even co sleeping. Two hours and we are jumping for joy. It is so bad I don't count wake ups anymore as I lose count!!

cakebaby Sun 05-Jan-14 10:28:49

Hi flopsy ds is nearly 18 wks he was going 3-4 hrs in his co sleeper crib before this began. Now 90mins feels a long time.

cindyrella Sun 05-Jan-14 14:49:15

Hello ladies. I just spent £30 on Ewan the sheep out of desperation to stop having to go shhhhhhhhhh all day & night. Yeah right, money well flushed.
...then today I drive dd in the car for an hour cause I am tired if having to put her in sling to sleep! Bring back good naps!
2 weeks into sleep regression...15 weeks old.
