The CRESH Creche and Spa - future home of all ESH

I liked the CRESH acronym more than FESH so have used it. Welcome all ESH to your final stop on the journey. Rest your aching lady bits, try one of the many gin based cocktails, and try to molest the gorgeous waiting staff.

So, where were we?

Today has been a good day, much walking though. I shall be back in my pre-diffed clothes in seconds!

Alps TBG is still mostly in the "can't help enough besotted new dad" role. He cooks all the food still and changes most of the nappies when he's home. Does most of the hoovering, feeds the poor neglected cats. And takes the baby out to give me a break. However, after Easter he starts new job and I suspect I will at least have to start sharing the cooking again. He isn't perfect, but he's still doing pretty well.

Had men over today to quote on repairing our crappy garden fence. Garden itself is hideously overgrown and I keep meaning to sort it out but tis hard with baby. They said it wouldn't cost much for them to do it. Am sorely tempted to just chuck money at the problem. It would be the wise thing to do given we want to sell this place, right?

ESSSSH!

Cosmosis · 12/04/2011 20:34

Throw the money at it if you can afford to, you won't get round to it with baybee. It's the ESH way after all.

AIBU to be upset I didn't even get looked at when I picked Artie up from the CMs today? TGO got a million smiles when he came home, I got nothing.

SilverSky · 12/04/2011 20:41

muse I'd get the fence fixed at a reasonable price. No point spending mega bucks on it but at same time no point doing it el cheapo neither.

MB has taken to screaming when I am dressing him. It sounds bloody awful. You'd think he was being harmed. I reckon ear plugs are the future.

I've been advised to cut out dairy in a bid to help MBs skin. Will give it a go. But I love cheese, yoghurt and ice cream!!!

HI has asked me to keep Friday free so we can spend quality time together. All I can say is it better involve gin and him looking after da baybee.

Next doors kids are driving me nuts. So much so I've put the dawg in the garden. Why? To stop the buggers jumping the fence into our garden to retrieve their balls. I've told them to knock and ask and not ruin our fence which they do now and again but when we are out or it's late they fence hop. I'm gonna start giving the balls to the mutt to destroy. They dont let their balls go over their other neighbours as they are too scared. It's day two of the Hols and I already wish they were back at school. What makes it worse is their muvva tells them to hop over the fence.

SilverSky · 12/04/2011 20:44

costa YANBU!!! We do all the hard work and we deserve all the smiles.

MegaPoo arrived this arvo.

Cosmosis · 12/04/2011 20:49

Ah megapoo, lucky you!

FannyPriceless · 12/04/2011 21:35

just bookmarking - a bit chaotic here...

Cosmosis · 12/04/2011 21:38

oh dear, hope all ok FP?

Backinthebox · 12/04/2011 22:01

Diving in quickly. Have 2 snotty nosed, gummy eyed children, a sore throat myself, and an OH with lurgy too. Also the biggest hole you have ever seen which my house actually seems to be teetering over combined with workmen asking my opinion on stuff while the architect stands there ranting and the Building Regs man sucks his teeth.

Weaning is going extremely well - LG eats anything and everything that is put anywhere near him. He has decided though that he is far too busy to BF these days, which I am a bit concerned about. He gives the impression he wants some milk, so I get it out and then he goes 'ooh, look over there!' So not entirely sure about that.

Am liking the new moniker. And I note that we are only 6 posts into a new thread and the subject of poo has popped up already. Grin

CluckyKate · 12/04/2011 22:05

Ah crap - lost post.

Great new thread Muse. I second buying the swinging chair on eBay as they are bloody extortionate brand new.

Good to hear the megapoo arrived Silvio - was going to suggest Boxers dambuster recipe....one to remember for next time, huh!

Would love to join in with the manbashing but I fear if I get started I'll never stop.

rollerbaby · 12/04/2011 22:09

Hello lovely ladies. I wanted to come by and say (in a very pissed fashion) hello and thank you. Sorry I have been shit and disappeared without explanation. Life has sort of taken over and I'm finding it really hard to keep up on here... Most if not all of you are on FB anyway so hopefully you haven't noticed. I also just wanted to say thank you for being so amazingly supportive for all of my pregnancy and the last 5 months. I just felt it was wrong to stop posting without telling you all how important you have been in keeping me sane! Hopefully yuo won't mind me lurking too much and popping in and out. Anyway our news is that mini man is ON the bottle thanks to baby guru who has all of our money and I am twatted and going to bed before Mr Moo for the first time since I was pregnant!! Whoo hoo.

Love you bitches xx

PerfectDromedary · 13/04/2011 09:07

Aw, honey was feeling the lurve. HOW'S YOUR HEAD TODAY?

AlpinePony · 13/04/2011 09:21

My PFB is in my office (home). "We" are eating envelopes & listening to Aussie music making me feel homesick. Gah. (not for Oz, I'm not a criminal, just homesick in general - fanny probably knows "The Waifs" - every other song is about missing home).

PollyPoo · 13/04/2011 09:24

SORRY WHAT WAS THAT DROM? I CAN'T HEAR YOU.

rollerbaby · 13/04/2011 09:49

Oh my god I am a sentimental hungover fool. Had first post weaning poo today...

My tits are like rock hard melons and having to pump but doesn't really relieve it. How long does it take to wean myself off I wonder... If I'm not going to feed him I cannot be arsed with this pumping malarkey every few hours. Pain in the arse.

CurlyCasper · 13/04/2011 10:14

just marking my place. Having an ongoing battle with an increasingly strong and able, and increasingly stroppy little madam, who's cough has caused her to puke all over me/her cot the past two nights.

Casserole · 13/04/2011 11:45

Oh HERE you all are Grin

Just marking place, not much to say. Tried minimini with some formula at her half ten feed last night, wanted her to be used to it for emergencies etc. She's not stopped squirming, straining or screaming since. So I guess we'll shelve that idea for a couple of weeks and I'll just make sure I've got some EBF in the freezer for 'mergency porpoises.

On which note, my norks are currently about to explode, so I'm going to go and siphon some off. Laters wenches.

SilverSky · 13/04/2011 11:50

honey welcome back! You have been missed!! Tell us all your secrets!! MB still shocking at napping. We are also weaning. How do you know when to up the amount you feed?? Today we are carrot and pea and today we ate going to introduce dinner!! Awesome about the bottle! Freedom at last. I'm with you on the expressing. PITA. Massively.

box how old will LG be when you go back to work? I'm thinking that as I'm rubbish at expressing as I get an ounce out a time that I'm not going to be able to get enough out to send MB to nursery with. Ideas?

Cosmosis · 13/04/2011 12:04

If MB anything like artie, send with nothing, he won't drink it!

SilverSky · 13/04/2011 12:43

cos is he having bf am and eve and water at nursery?

Cosmosis · 13/04/2011 12:59

He?s bfing at 6 when we get home, 7.15 at bedtime, once in the night and sometimes first thing (depending on what time we get up). I should probably concentrate more on dropping the night feed in favour of a 7am feed, but am lazy and it?s a quick way of getting him back to sleep ? even if it does mean he?s often not interested in a feed when he wakes.

I am putting ebm on his cereal in the morning and his CM is putting some in his food where she can. Tbh the only really big feed is the 6pm one. I am worrying he?s not getting enough milk but I don?t know what else to do really.

He drinks water at the CMs.

FannyPriceless · 13/04/2011 13:13

cos Yes, is OK. Just MrP is away so I am having us 'let's just get through this' week.

alps I am not all that familiar with Aussie music. Apart from Hunters and Collectors which is the best song in the world.*

cos We had the same experience when Bonnie first started nursery. Somehow she muddled through the day without a bottle.

*opinion held only when drunk.

Cosmosis · 13/04/2011 13:22

Ah ok, glad it's just normal chaos rather than specific probs Grin

Is that the polite way of saying "I'm not an Aussie, Alps bitch. I'm fed up of all antipodeans being lumped in together" Wink

CUNextTuesday · 13/04/2011 13:22

I knew rastus was never going to have expressed milk at the childminders as he got through 2 bottles of 8oz during the day. I would have been a husk. Your boobs do adjust fairly quickly IME but i do the same as cos more or less, before bed and in the early hours us bf, the rest is formula, water or juice

Cosmosis · 13/04/2011 13:35

I could keep up with that quite happily with my current levels of expressing. I'm thinking about opening an ice-cream shop with the excess.
