How tragic are the middle years...

Can't bloody wait though.

I'm VERY jealous. Grin

YvaineStormhold · 13/04/2016 19:31

It's going to be great.

They've been driving me mad for years, but for the last month I've been more or less completely deaf in one ear.

I'm expecting great big lumps of wax things.

FankEweVeryMuch · 13/04/2016 19:32

Will there be pictures?

thugmansion · 13/04/2016 19:33

Having mine done next week. Really looking forward to it. Happy days

Bananajam · 13/04/2016 19:33

Amazing feeling! I love it Grin

YabuDabbaDoo · 13/04/2016 19:33

Ooh lucky you. I've had that done 3 times and it feels soooo good.

WanderingTrolley1 · 13/04/2016 19:35

Your thread title did funny things to me.

Hoovered ears... One can dream.

YvaineStormhold · 13/04/2016 19:35

Ooh does it??

It's my first time so I'm not sure what to expect - other than it's going to be brilliant.

Will the man think I'm weird if I take a pic of the wax?

I may or may not have been watching ear-hoovering videos on Youtube Blush

Just in the interests of preparation, you understand.

So, how does it feel to have your stereo sound back? Did it reach the parts others cannot reach?

Mishaps · 14/04/2016 20:42

Whatever turns you on........

madamginger · 14/04/2016 20:47

This needs to be in sporner corner!

tectonicplates · 14/04/2016 20:52

Is this the same thing as syringing?

CakeNinja · 14/04/2016 20:53

Well? Well? Where are the pictures? Come on, come on... Rubs thighs...
I mean, er, how did it go? Grin

Thisismyfirsttime · 14/04/2016 20:53

It hurts doesn't it? Does it? I'd LOVE to but I'm scared it hurts!

WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 14/04/2016 20:54

I had it done once. To be honest I find normal syringing more satisfying than suction. Was still good though.

OohhItsNotHoxton · 14/04/2016 20:55

I'm well jel Envy

FishOn · 14/04/2016 20:57

Just so you know OP - afterwards... EVERYTHING IS REALLY FUCKING LOUD!

YvaineStormhold · 14/04/2016 21:02

It was AWESOME!

I got the full gamut of experience. Left ear - my 'good' ear was rammed with solid wax, but he was able to get it out with the suction thingy, after a bit of softening with water.

It sucked and sucked, then there was a sensation like a plaster being ripped off and - bam! The left side of the world was loud!

He showed me what he retrieved - a black plug of solid wax, basically the size of well, an ear plug.

It was amazing. But nothing compared to the right side...

OP posts:
YabuDabbaDoo · 14/04/2016 21:03

Ooh what was on the right side? What? What?

CakeNinja · 14/04/2016 21:06

Yes but what did it look like???

YvaineStormhold · 14/04/2016 21:14

Well, he had a look at the right side, and it all went a bit quiet.

Then he said, "Oh. I don't think we're going to be able to use the suction on this."

I may or may not have said, "I don't care if you have to send a terrier down there, just sort it out."

He replied,

"We normally use a mole, but he's at another practice today."

The comments were jovial, but the mood was grim...

WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 14/04/2016 21:17

Ooohhh.

Donge13 · 14/04/2016 21:18

Tell me more Grin

Thisismyfirsttime · 14/04/2016 21:18

Did the plaster ripping off bit hurt?
Oooh, black stuff. Did you touch it?
