Boris outmaneovered. Et tu Gove & Corbyn? The Westministenders Hunger Games Continues

Following the Machiavellian Govian shambles? Utterly gobsmacked at the Labour clusterfuck?

Who will strike next?

Who will the shadowy hand of Osborne back?
Can Gove be launched back into space and back to the planet he came from?
Can May save the country from almost certain doom?
Will Leadsom patronise us all to death (whilst silently stabbing people in the back with a sweet smile)?
Can Johnson make a decision he can stick to, and can we persuade him to give up being a politician?
Will Steven Crabb get rid of that god awful beard?

Will Corbyn shoot himself in the other foot?
Will Angela Eagle get a spine and just stand?
Who the fuck is Owen Smith?
Will the Blairites be foiled and damned?
Are momentum a bunch of thugs or a force for a better, for the people?

Will Farage disappear back under his rock?
Will people wake up to Arron Banks?
What will Dominic Cummings destroy next?

Have we seen a coup d'état?
How do we improve democracy and representation?

All these questions and more.
Sense of humour compulsory. No experience necessary though

I was wondering the same when I saw Give bobbing up and down in his press conference. Which planet sent him here

In answer to your Q Johnson is Penfold so no hope of him making a decision. Where / who is Dangermouse to come and take all the credit leaving BoJo free to get on with the mission in his own magnificent fashion.

Well that sums it up Red. My jaw hurts from all the winching I've had to do recently but it may not recover from Goves press conference.
Slytheen?

Gove Shock Shock
Words cannot describe how ghastly he is. He's also sounding more Scottish - he's got friends in the SNP. He'll be saying 'Och aye!' next.

We need WIB (Women In Black) to fire off Gove back to his home planet:
I want my PLANET back

Is Theresa May a WIB with that memory gadget thingy, to make us all forget the horrible things that have happened the last week ?

What happens if Corbyn stands down and is replaced as leader, but that leader is promptly deselected by their CLP ?
(looks possible with Angela the Eagle)

Thank you all for these superb threads.

I do think it's odd or telling that on a site like Mumsnet there is little mention of May, just a thread set up on this site if you scroll down but no real excitement about the prospect of her becoming leader.

Didn't care for her press conference announcing her candidature. She came across like Hattie Jacques in Carry On Camping when she mistakenly thinks that Kenneth Williams was trying it on with her and goes from fierce to all flowery and self-regarding. "I realise, now, that of course a glimpse of my political ambitions would arouse your slumbering manhood, I see that I have been naive. Be patient with me... you'll find my premiership is worth waiting for."

Thanks Red

My hangover is abating a bit - but the idea of Gove running the country is giving me Beer Fear

God I can't bear the idea of waking up September 3rd and that arsewipes wanky face as PM

Thanks Red

I did listen to most of Gove, whilst slapping him on the app thing. It was slapping him that got me through DD's GCSE's so feels very familiar and comforting.

Who the fuck is Owen Smith?

I asked that yesterday, I still haven't figured it out. I'm not entirely convinced he exists.

'Too unsightly to be a world leader'
I know it's a bit silly but he really is very unsightly

That OP is the best summary I've seen!

Report
RedToothBrush · 01/07/2016 13:05

Its funny huh?

Gove didn't have a plan for leaving. No substance. No detail.
Yet he's apparently written an entire manifesto for the future of the UK in less than 24 hours.

Great summary
When is the leadership vote? I know 2nd Sept is final D-day but when do they whittle it down to 2
How many more Govian declarations can we expect?

It runs every Tuesday / Thursday until they are down to 2 candidates or everyone drops out. Bottom candidate eliminated.

If it gets to two candidates and both still want to carry on it goes to the wider membership.

I'm thinking here, we WANT a Crabbe v May scenario playing out. Leadsom and Gove will go to the wider party.

If Gove had a plan that big and that visionary, for a post Brexit Britain, why wasn't it on the table before 23rd June?

Is it because he didn't think people would vote for it???
