Superdrug is currently doing 1/3 off clearblue and first response tests. I may go and treat myself to a packet tomorrow. I quite like it when you can see 1-2 weeks pregnant on the screen!

Hello Pear
Thanks for the lovely new thread! :-)

These are the tests I was talking about: www.superdrug.com/Superdrug/Superdrug-Pregnancy-Test-Double/p/457396#.VOjz2kIjjFI

Both times I got a BFP on these when I got a negative on an IC and an incredibly barely there line on a FRER.

How are you feeling?

I've been feeling bit anxious - panicking about everything that could go wrong... Did a CB digi this morning purely so I could see the word "pregnant". I love those tests. They aren't super sensitive though (I think).

peardrop2 · 21/02/2015 21:25

Strange, I can't get your link to work

peardrop2 · 21/02/2015 21:29

Frazzles - I'm feeling OK thanks but I am v tired. The cramping has stopped but seems to be worse at night anyway. My CBFM is now flashing a 'm' so I will test again in the morning.

frazzledtofun · 21/02/2015 22:14

That's weird Pear. It's the Superdrug own brand pregnancy test anyway.
£4.79 for a twin pack.

I will be checking in tomorrow morning and hoping you have some news. For now I am going to bed. Also shattered! Good luck!!

eleganthedgehog · 21/02/2015 23:15

Thanks for the new thread pear. 10dpo here and either just had a bit of implantation bleeding or having my shortest ever cycle (day 26 of cycle but usually 32 days pre first pregnancy and only cycle since was 34). Argh! I hate waiting.

peardrop2 · 22/02/2015 04:52

I am actually starting to think that I am imagining this all in my head. Cd 35, DPO10. Bfn ?? I must be testing too early. I never learn ?? or I am not pregnant ??

OP posts:
Droflove · 22/02/2015 05:44

Oh Pear. You are up very early poas:) DPO10 is still early ish no?

Droflove · 22/02/2015 05:46

I'm currently on day 28 of my cycle. DTD on day 10 so thought there was no way I hit ovulation. But I feel like I'm pregnant too. Just scared to poas!

Droflove · 22/02/2015 05:46

Day 29 now.

peardrop2 · 22/02/2015 07:34

Dro - DS has been waking early so my body has got used to being up lately. Typical that he's only just waking now at 7:30 Grin You DTD once? That would be amazing if you fell pregnant straight away! It is very early.

OP posts:
frazzledtofun · 22/02/2015 07:47

Pear it might not have implanted yet. I reckon tomorrow but not on an IC... Fingers crossed!!

Looks like Drof and elegant you guys will be POAS tomorrow too..? Grin

MarysPrayer · 22/02/2015 09:06

AF is taunting me this month. She hasn't shown and so I convinced myself that the cramps were easing too. Poas this morning: bfn. I'm about 14dpo so no chance this month. Sad
Onwards and upwards hey!

hideandsqueak · 22/02/2015 10:03

I kept getting BFN until 14dpo...

peardrop2 · 22/02/2015 10:10

Mary ~ I was wondering how you were getting on! What tests have you been using?

You're right ladies. It is still early. I never cramp this much before AF so I am still hopeful but also dreading the let down if I'm wrong. The waiting game is so cruel!

OP posts:
MarysPrayer · 22/02/2015 11:31

pear it was a Boots own brand early test (equiv to the superdrug ones I think) It's all academic now anyway AF is officially here :( Could have had that glass of Wine last night after all. if I hadn't have been so hopelessly optimistist And saved a few ££ on the pee stick. Angry

I'm feeling really sad - I want this so much - although I'm probably a bag of hormones atm anyway. Will try and look forward to next month.

elegant ip sounds very promising. Fx.

Droflove It's still possible. If you dtd on cd1 evening, and, let's say, you ov'd on cd13 morning, then it's perfectly possibly that you could have conceived Smile

MarysPrayer · 22/02/2015 11:33

Sorry, droflove I meant CD10, obviously. CD1 would be good going! Grin

peardrop2 · 22/02/2015 14:34

I'm really sorry Mary Hmm I really feel for you because the disappointment after getting your hopes up is just unbearable Confused

My cramps have got a lot stronger again. I would say these are very similar to AF and are now causing my back to hurt a lot. I've brought a twin pack of Superdrug tests this afternoon. I didn't get any Clearblue ones as they didn't have any on offer at my branch. It's just a waiting game now.

OP posts:
peardrop2 · 22/02/2015 14:39

I guess the only happy thought I've got is that it is turning out that my LP is longer then I was panicking about last week!

Frazzled - when do you personally count dpo1? The day of your last high (after 2 peaks) or the day after your last high (after 2 peaks)?

OP posts:
MarysPrayer · 22/02/2015 14:45

Thanks pear. It's so cruel that pre-AF and early pregnancy signs can be so similar.

I think I'm gonna treat myself to some new clothes, which I don't need, and hope that sod's law is watching! Grin

I still haven't read all of the previous thread(s?) . Does anyone know whether many people got their bfp? (preferably without weaning) Looking for some hope and inspiration!
I've always asumed that I am ovulating as AF is pretty regular (26-29 days - is that classed as regular? ). I really don't fancy going down the bbt temping route but I realise that opks only detect an LH surge and therefore are not proof of ovulation. Hmm....

peardrop2 · 22/02/2015 14:56

Mary how long did you cramp for before AF arrived? I've been cramping on and off for 6 days now. I've never experienced that with AF. Normally I get AF cramps the day before and during AF but not this long. Frazzled is still feeding once a day and she got her bfp, so did hide!

OP posts:
frazzledtofun · 22/02/2015 15:15

Mary so sorry to hear AF got you! Sad
To answer your question, there was a bit of a flurry of BFPs last year but, as always, it's hit and miss. I know you say you don't fancy temping but even if you just do it for one month it really is so satisfying to see the temp rise after ovulation and then you know for SURE that you have ovulated. I actually found it much easier than I thought it would be. Although, obviously, I learned to my cost that it doesn't always predict AF as I had a weird 2 day implantation dip that I thought was AF on its way (and hence had a couple of glasses of wine that I am feeling awfully guilty about now).

Pear yes, I told you! Smile. I bet you have a longer LP AND I bet you have a BFP waiting for you too. Really hope so!!! I had cramps the early part of this week when I was 10/11 DPO and, combined with the temperature drop that I saw back to pre-ovulation levels I was CONVINCED that this was AF. It really felt like AF cramps and I felt exactly like I do just prior to AF (bloated, constipated, cramps etc.) ... but it must have been implantation.

I counted my first day DPO as the morning of the temperature rise, which means that I ovulated the day before, so that was the day after my 2 day "high fertility" smiley. In case that was confusing:

Friday 6th Feb - low temp and high fertility smiley
Sat 7th Feb - low temp and high fertility smiley (it lasts for 48 hours so you can't test again)
Sun 8th Feb - massive temp rise and therefore this was 1DPO as I must have ovulated on the Saturday.

Hope that makes sense! So now I am 15DPO.

Oh and one more thing Mary I went from feeding on demand up to 12 times a day to overnight just doing a single, short feed first thing in the morning. I then introduced a bottle BEFORE the feed in the morning so she was pretty full and just had a teeny tiny bit for comfort. Felt pretty horrendously guilty doing it but she is over 2 and, touch wood, it looks like it worked!

cuphat · 22/02/2015 15:32

Hi all, I just wanted to let you know my positive story to give you all some hope. I was still breastfeeding DD two or three times a day when I got my BFP last year. It happened very quickly for me which I wasn't expecting. And without the use of the ovulation tests etc that I used the first time around.

DD (now 20 months) did self-wean a couple of months later at 17 months, which I never thought would happen as she had been a milk-monster - I think that this was due to the taste of the milk changing. But it gives me a bit of a break anyway before baby arrives in May!

Good luck to you all Smile

peardrop2 · 22/02/2015 15:37

Red spotting here Sad Beyond sad. Obviously my LP was too short. Spoke too soon. My AF cramps are shockingly bad. Think the worst I've had so far. I've send DH a text to get me some wine on the way home. Absolutely gutted ??
