There's cake for scoffing, backs for patting, and screeching death metal for all your METALLING moments. All welcome!

Our last thread reached 1000 posts so i hope you have all found your way here! I have steaming hot Brew chocolate croissants (or as my colleague said 'chocolate pasties'), blueberry muffins, grapefruit segments and hot buttered toast for brekkie!

Settle into the mosh pit, we have special VIP area's for those on the 2WW, the new bumps metalling with segregated areas for the first/second/third trimesters and the club class cocktail bar for those who have just got AF and can get-pissed let loose for the first two weeks!

Wow lots of talking taking place, well think I'm ovulating so trying to fit in lots of swi, hope everyone's ok, Internet is constantly playing up at the mo and can't get out the house as unable to get the pushchair up the road!

pebspop · 07/02/2012 11:46

added my last post from the other thread:

another wtf day for me. i had cystitis yesterday so went to the doc with a sample as i started getting a bit of blood but couldn't work out where it was coming from. they said i didn't have infection but gave me antibiotics anyway?? the nurse asked if my period was due but i was only on cd 23 so i said no.

i have since been to toilet and had blood on two occasions from fanj. but not full af. if af is coming i will be gutted as it's only cd 24. maybe it's implantation? if it's not implantation (and unlikey as i haven't had the smiley face) what can i do to sort my cycles out? will the b vits help?

newtonupontheheath · 07/02/2012 11:53

Just checking in now I've located the new thread! Lovely new title...will come back an dupdate later but for now I'm off to eat some more cake do some work Smile

MandaHugNKiss · 07/02/2012 12:46

Ahem!? Chocolate croissant? Choclate pastries?! They are pain au chocolate! Heathens!

I just ate a brownie though (cake, I hasten to add, not a small child who sings songs whilst earning badges for her uniform!) though I don't want any...

I was waiting for someone to start the new thread - not sure why, but I think it most appropriate that one of our ttc'ers starts it so GOOD JOB on stepping up marff

pebs If you're really not sure where the blood is coming from and you're not too... um, squeamish, there's always the cotton bud test. Y'know, you insert a cotton bud, much the way you would a tampon, give it a little twirl, take out again and inspect. If it's pink/red/brown then safe to say you're bleeding is vaginal and not from your urethra. If it comes out 'clean' then most likely it's in your urine and cystitis/bladder infection related (a good idea to get antibiotics at this point). Or if your wiping is realllly off, could be bleeding piles?

Anyway. No prizes for guessing for what I'll say about the B100 - anecdotally I've seen them sort many a wonky cycle. The exact mechanism isn't fully understood but the massive doses seem to have a very positive on many of the body's systems, including the one that regulates your cycle. It's a shame that because a pharmaceutical company cannot patent a vitamin, the official research and ensuing marketing of the 'miracle' won't happen because there is no money to be made for them from it. So, I can't offer you official 'proof'... but on the flip side, they really won't hurt either so nothing ventured, nothing gained, huh?

Holland and barret have a 'buy one tub, get a second for 1p' thing at the mo.

Nice to see you moomin Get swi'ing, girl!

bonzo77 · 07/02/2012 13:43

found you all again!! Hiya!

WTF here too. CD8 and AF left 3 days ago, but spotting today. But sod it, let the SWI commence according to that sperm meets egg plan.

I bought the vit b but I think it was the B50. might start taking 2 instead of 1.

pebspop · 07/02/2012 13:59

manda it's not piles!! the bleeding has stopped now, i am hoping it is implantation. the cystitis symptoms have pretty much gone as well - thank god! i was casually googling earlier (like you do) and found some women who thought they had uti's and it turned out they were pg. hope i am one of them.

good idea on the cotton bud test, i would have never thought of that.

i will try the b100 on my next cycle. i have been nervous of taking them as i didn't know what dose or anything. it's just one a day of the b100's isn't it?

FrozenNorthPole · 07/02/2012 14:01

Hello again! Can I bring my yucca if I festoon it with appropriate decorations? Pain au raisin perhaps?

I'm 7 + 5 today, I think. Symptoms: more severe than yesterday (yay for gagging) but also far more crampy and thus more paranoid about bleeding.

Will there be a list of group stats - this will enable newbie-style cramming on my part? Do I need to supply any info to be part of such stats?

JaffaSnaffle · 07/02/2012 15:16

Hi, love the new mosh pit. Here's to quite a few new starts. Will be back with proper post soon x

whatsoever · 07/02/2012 15:34

Hello all [tentative wave].

I used to hang out here many moons ago (alright, a few months ago, its been a long 12 months!)

Anyway, after a MMC at the end of May last year, a dabble in depression and a post-Christmas month of SWI it appears I am newly-updiffed. Bit shocked as it took 10 months last time but there we are.

Trying to stay positive but realistic after last time as I'm only just pregnant (got my BFP a week ago but I tested 2 days before my AF was due as I had an inkling).

Anyway, hoping to stop by every now and again and say hello and indulge in plenty of Brew and Biscuit.

BlueCrane · 07/02/2012 15:43

Fab news thunderbolt Grin I'm now 24 weeks, due 29th May...so glad the clomid seems to have helped you! Here's hoping for a healthy bouncing bean this time around for you! This thread has been fantastic and is such a lovely bunch of ladies that I really don't want to leave, so mainly hang around to provide cake and Brew (when I get here in time before marthas has her morning lack-of-caffeine meltdown Wink) and to hold a few hands during the post MC, 2ww and early PG metalling times!! Welcome!

Anyone for a hot cross bun?

shomes · 07/02/2012 18:42

Hi all, waiting to try to concieve again after MMC in January. Petrified of it all to be honest as it was such a shock to the system to hear the news.

Had ERPC 3 weeks ago, now having cramp pains so not sure if AF on way or is implantation as did SWI last week???

evening ladiesSmile

Tiago · 08/02/2012 06:50

Well that was informative. Net result of my visit to the IVF clinic was that I have been told to book an appointment with the consultant at his private practice - so hopefully we will be able to finally find out if the 4:30am starts during dtd weeks actually have a point. It's been just over two years now, and I've got to the point where I just wonder it my eggs or dh's sperm are just not up to the job.

pebspop · 08/02/2012 10:03

tiago sorry i am not up to date with your story, why do you need ivf?

the bleeding hasn't come back so now i am hoping it was implantation, i will test on monday if af doesn't show over the weekend. that would be cd 30. please don't come af!

if she does come i will get the b100's and try those.

whatsoever · 08/02/2012 10:14

Hello all, especially bluecrane and thunder who I remember from the December 2011 bus and here last time and insomnia who I think I remember from last time too?

Thunder I won't see the midwife until Monday but on my back of a fag packet calculations I am due 11 October so very close to you Smile

MarthasHarbour · 08/02/2012 11:12

whatso i have namechanged, used to be Summerbird, but felt that i needed a new 'me'. I often wonder how you are doing! Congrats on the BFP Grin i am still not updiffed, have had two CP's since we last chatted Sad starting to think we might just give up TTC and live happily ever after with DS. But not leaving this thread as blue's breakfasts are phenomenal when-she can be arsed to get up in time to do it Wink anyway really good to hear from you and that you are up for a more positive 2012

FX tiago glad to hear you have a consultant appt, 4.30am starts? that is dedication (although DH said he would DTD any time of the day as that is all he thinks about Hmm )

FX to you too pebs

oo i am being all medieval today Grin

OP posts:
BlueCrane · 08/02/2012 11:37

Apologies for lack of breakfast this morning...feeling pretty lousy TBH...and just starting to metal about possibility of Pre-eclampsia...grrrr...hopefully not but just internally debating whether I need to ring the Triage MW to have a chat...

pebs really really hope it was implantation and that AF stays well away!!

tiago I tried convincing DH that waking up super early for DTD was a good idea...we managed it once and we both hoped that if we conceived that cycle it would be from a different 'occassion' so to speak as it was far too functional given that we were both still half asleep Blush marthas is he actually thinking about TTC or just DTD all the time Wink though eitherway great to know he's fully on board and ready to put the effort in when needed!!

marbles go girl with the PMA!!

Right...back to waiting for DH to call me when he has a break and then deciding whether or not to ring the MW...though maybe I just need to go home and sleep as sleep is rather elluding me at night at the moment Hmm
