Hoping for my VBAC but 40+12 so come in for induction. Because of previous CS, no prostin. They've just broken my waters - MW couldn't do it as cervix posterior so consultant came, gave me gas & air to use, tugged cervix forward and broke them!

Now just waiting to see if contractions start!

Woooo!! Come on BabySes!!

Soo very excited for you!!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 08/06/2012 13:52

are you mobile Ses? I found moving my hips round/back & forth after waters had gone started me in labour :)

SESthebrave · 08/06/2012 13:55

Not mobile at the moment as on monitor to see how baby is responding and to see if I contract at all. MW did say they'd take me off the monitor in a bit though so I can go for a walk.

SESthebrave · 08/06/2012 14:02

Thanks :)

DH appears to have fallen asleep in the corner but that's fine, I don't need him at the moment!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 08/06/2012 14:08

hope they get you off the monitor soon, they're no good for helping labour progress! :)

JBurge · 08/06/2012 14:10

Good Luck!

Can you sit on a ball whilst on the monitor? That might help!

McKayz · 08/06/2012 14:12

It's a shame you can't move around while being monitored.

SESthebrave · 08/06/2012 14:14

Am off monitor, now just trying to control waters going everywhere when I stand up! Then off for a walk.

MW said if no contractions by 3.15, will talk about drip then.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 08/06/2012 14:19

sounds like they're trying to move you along pretty swiftly, so hopefully you'll have a baby by tomorrow :)

and get a big pad in your pants and get wiggling woman!! Wink

McKayz · 08/06/2012 14:19

Thinking positive contraction thoughts here for you.

Gingerbreadlatte · 08/06/2012 14:28

hooray for the live thread!

Agree with the others get moving if you are comfortable to do so. Sideways steps up the stairs are good... :)

SESthebrave · 08/06/2012 14:28

Pad in place (2nd as 1st didn't last long) and off for a walk. Will check in again in a bit!

Went for a walk downstairs and back. Waters keep on coming...!
Now got dull period pain that's definitely there but dull and definitely not contractions as such.

Not sure whether you're into this, but you could try some visualisation as you walk. I've been doing Hypnobirthing and find it really good.

Visualise your baby moving down to meet you and your cervix opening up like a flower!

Might sound stupid but worth a try!
