Standards have slipped!

My little part time job has become almost full time, the kids have been home and it's been too hot to keep my running up. The old healthy eating has slipped too. Sugar has crept in and weight has crept on

So, sept 1st

Weigh
Measure
Start running weekly x 3
Back to bootcamp
Juicing and healthy eating

And I'm going to track the lot on myfitnesspal/mapmyrun/fitbug.com

Oh, and for the first time in going to do the water thing. 2 litres a day. That is new for me but achievable I think

So, gives us about 3 1/2 months til Christmas. Anyone else?

I am in

CrockedPot · 25/08/2014 22:25

I am in! Have gained a whole stone over the summer, gutted, and determined to get it off by end November.

Natalie1989xo · 25/08/2014 22:26

Posted too soon! I definitely need to make some changes. I weigh 12stone and would ideally like to weigh 10. I am 3lbs heavier than when I fell pregnant with my ds2 who is 13 months but a completely different shape. Plump round my middle and bigger on the top of ny thighs. Very wobbly all round really. Need to tone all round.

My plan is to basically cut the crap food and fizzy, drink water (2 litres) and walk the damn dog EVERY day. Smile

HeySoulSister · 25/08/2014 22:46

I lost 5 stone last year low carbing. Think I've put a stone back on! I did my first half marathon this may so that is probably fittest I've ever been. Want to end the year at the same stage

I entered London marathon ballot. Got in the ballot. Find out in oct if I got a place.

So. Exercise, low carbing and juicing. Those work for me. Low carbing won't be exclusive if I'm juicing tho ( some juices use fruit which is high carb) so I need to try and stick to green juices

So what does everyone else plan to eat?

Me! I started off brilliantly in March and slowly fell so far off the wagon I am in danger of getting run over by it.

I am currently 12.7, and I need to lose at least 1.5 stone. I turn 40 early next year and this is not how i want to be.

I hurt my heel running 4 weeks ago so at the moment am cycling and swimming. I also need to cut out the rubbish food and start using mfp again.

HeySoulSister · 26/08/2014 21:33

I need to organise a shopping list, meal plan and get some new running shoes! Payday on fri, so it will be all systems go!

Yes, definitely.

I'm a teacher so have had the full 6 weeks off with the kids, and because it's my holiday too, I didn't think about dieting at all for the full 6 weeks.

I'm going back to work the same weight as when I finished in July, but only by the skin of my teeth.

I will be...

Either ww (still a member for Sept) or mfp.
Joining the local gym with other friends from work.
I won't be eating breakfast, will have a sensible low cal choice for lunch and then a dinner and a small treat. I will try and leave eating my small treat for after the kids are in bed instead of eating it as pudding then wanting something later on.

I got to a healthy BMI a 5 years ago counting my points (old plan though!) and dropping treats. I got poorly after Christmas and am now a stone heavier than I used to be BEFORE I wanted to start a diet.

I am 13.4 and want to be in the 11s by Christmas. (Possibly a tall order, but we will see....)

MrsGSR · 28/08/2014 18:14

I'm in! I'm 3 stone heavier than I want to be. DD is 7 months old and I managed to lose some of the 'baby' weight (half of it I put on whilst ttc!), but then put it all back on again Angry

I've cut back on sugar but from September I want to swim once a week, use the exercise bike more and count calories. I'd like to be close to my goal weight by DDs first birthday.

PPaka · 28/08/2014 18:20

Ok, then
How enthusiastic !

Hairylegs47 · 28/08/2014 18:29

Me too!

HeySoulSister · 28/08/2014 18:31

Struggling to choose new running shoes.... And an old knee injury has started boggling! Typical. Running really works for me and I'm really missing it.
Making a new playlist tonight

Asda online order ready to go for clean eating and some juicing

Using up/throwing leftover treat foods and clearing out the freezer

I am in, I need to lose a stone and a half but I would be happy with a stone. My blood pressure is on the high side and I need to do something about it. I plan to go low calorie 2 days a week I CBA doing calorie countng so will just eat less those days and eat more protein. I will swim three times a week and walk more. I have had a tough summer and need to do something for me now. My diet is mostly healthy, low salt , unprocessed lots of fruit, low alcohol and I cook from scratch. However I eat too much, can't resist chocolate as a treat and I need to get more active.

Sodasyphon · 29/08/2014 08:13

I'm in! Completely lost the plot of late. Actually looking forward to exercise and a better diet. I'll do low carb too (it's worked wonders in the past). HeySoulSister, please talk to me about juicing!

WipsGlitter · 29/08/2014 10:00

I need to do this. Horrendous holiday photos, and a full length mirror where we were staying showed the full horror. Massive spare tyre.

But, but... I need to be realistic.

So, decent breakfast, salad with egg/chicken for lunch (to be brought to work in a lunch box.) and then smaller portions for dinner with fewer carbs and more salad. No treats/snacking during the week. No high cal coffees. My main problem is the weekend when we tend to eat out or get a take away.

Exercise: start running - can be done when DS2 is at an activity at the weekend and need to force myself out twice a week otherwise. May join a gym when finances improve in October. Did the 30 day shred about twice but did find it a good workout and quick.

I need to lose two stone.

HeySoulSister · 29/08/2014 14:47

Juicing.... Not for everyone, but works so so well for my energy levels, mood and weight loss. I use mainly green juices. So handfuls of spinach/celery/cucumber/lemon and apples as a base. Then I might blend with avocado. My skin is amazing when I have avocado. I'm not so keen on it to eat, but you can pack so much good stuff into juice. Nobody can sit and eat a lemon and half a pack of raw spinach can they!?

This will keep me feeling full so usually have it at lunchtime

I'm in. 3 stone baby weight to lose Confused

HeySoulSister · 30/08/2014 12:59

Fridge is getting fuller by the day. Got avocados ripening. Stocked up on almost everything I will need

Cleaning today to get a head start. Fitness gear back out and bought a new running jacket. Joined a new Facebook running group. Need to find a good local running route tho as i live in middle of a large new development. Ds can help with that as he runs a rural ish route with his sister sometimes ( makes me so proud my dd 20 and ds 16 took up running as a hobby after watching me take it up)

Anyone got any tea recommendations? I like green tea, but looking for new flavours.

Need to locate tape measure ready for Monday weigh in and measurements!
