It's in the fridge and I'm going to take the plunge on Monday!
Feeling really nervous about it all. Anyone due to start next week too?

Mine is in the fridge too and I'm planning to start tomorrow (Sunday).

Aitchtee · 13/07/2024 10:29

I’m just awaiting mine arriving! Hopefully coming by Thursday so a bit late to join you but will be interested to hear progress!

Pieris24 · 13/07/2024 11:13

Thank you for new thread OP. I haven’t got injections yet, been putting off but hoping to get this month so placemarking. I’m feeling anxious about the whole thing. My efforts to lose weight so far have failed miserably and I feel like I would be cheating. So I need to work on getting those thoughts out of my head. Plus worried about side effects.

dogdaydisaster · 13/07/2024 11:26

I started this morning. The process was really easy- much simpler than I feared

ToriMJ · 13/07/2024 11:52

I've had it in the fridge a couple of weeks while I try to find 'the right time' and the courage. But I really do want to start it now. I'm worried about side effects but there's no way to find out except try it.

The July thread started in middle June so it's a bit ahead of us starting mid July so would be great to have some support with people just starting out.

Edited

I feel the same. But I keep finding out about people who are on it- a family member and a work colleague just this week and I'm thinking what am I waiting for? I've tried every diet for twenty years so really it needs to be something different if I expect a different result.
I'm psyching myself up Grin

That's good to know!
If you're able to keep us posted on how you feel this week that would be so helpful.

Those of you who have jabbed, did you do anything to prepare? I've seen a few tiktoks where people suggest eating certain things on the day.

Also site of injection- I'm thinking I will go thigh as I've heard it absorbs slowest so might reduce side effects?

Will do. I didn’t do anything special. Had some protein banana pancakes an hour or so afterwards and feel fine, if a bit tired. But was out at Hyde Park all day yesterday so that’s probably why.

My daughter started ( age 31) in March.
She's lost two stone.. she was 20 stone to start.. 5ft 8.
I saw her yesterday and was so surprised.. my gosh what a difference two stone makes..
Side effects for her are.. First two days she feels tearful and a tad depressed but then it lifts.
Also She's gone off meat.. except chicken.
So eating vegetarian foods.

Feeling tired today but that’s possibly because of being at a concert last night. Starting to feel slightly hungry now having had breakfast at 9.30.

Mumof1andacat · 13/07/2024 14:40

How long from placing an order to getting in delivered? Or does it come by courier if its a fridge item?

ToriMJ · 13/07/2024 14:41

Mine took a few days, was posted in a box with cold pack

I started this yesterday
already I am not feeling as hungry
felt slight nauseous on and off
had crazy nightmares last night which was really odd
I have just over 2 stone to lose

Oooh that's interesting! What time if day did you take it?
Is the nausea just that vague sucky feeling like you've eaten too much chocolate or does it actually feel like you might puke?

Just had some quiche and salad. Had been vaguely hungry but what was noticeable was that at no point did I feel the urge to grab a handful of peanuts to tide me over while it was cooking. It tasted lovely but I was able to eat slowly and enjoy it. Afterwards my mind kind of went ‘something sweet?’ out of habit- but deciding to maybe wait til later was much easier. It kind of feels like food is neutral if that makes sense- there’s no emotional attachment to it at all. Probably all placebo effect but very interesting! Now I feel very mildly queasy but fine.

I'm hoping to start this week. I'm not sure if it's sensible to be doing it just before the summer holidays when I'm going to be doing a lot of driving as I'm worried about tiredness but I'll find out! If it makes me tired I'll stop it for a couple of weeks.

strawberry12345 · 13/07/2024 16:25

Is it delivered in plain packaging please?

ToriMJ · 13/07/2024 16:33

I figure there's never a perfect time. You could put it off forever.

Absolutely, just a very large brown box , nothing on it to identify what it was

Mummacake · 13/07/2024 16:58

I'm so glad I found this thread! Also starting this week. Nervously excited as I haven't been able to shift weight for the last 4yrs so looking to shift 2.5-3st. Good luck everyone!
