OK. I think that should be enough.

Right. R B - greatest TV villain of all time? I didn't see that coming!

Did not see the first shock coming !! Shock

Second shock, well, never any doubt really, was there ?

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 02/05/2016 12:31

Yes, that I was expecting! Just hope he doesn't die of exposure before the others come back into the room.

There was an interesting post about Meera Reed on the other thread. Hadn't thought of that, but now it's been pointed out, her hair and Jon's are pretty similar, aren't they?

Also, Ian McShane is due to appear in this series as a priest - presumably a Red one - and he's apparently going to bring somebody back to life. Who will it be?

Did anyone else clock Ghost howling? (It might have been last episode actually)
He is supposed to be mute isn't he?

Report
Missushb · 02/05/2016 12:39

No he's not supposed to be mute.

PreviouslyMal · 02/05/2016 12:42

That was me with the Meera/ Jon theory Smile
Ian Mcshane isn't bringing someone back from the dead, technically speaking Wink. He will be with a character that everyone thinks is dead , think big and scarred . In the books Brienne meets them on a sacred isle .

My other half reckons Meera is too young to be Jon's sister but I'm not sure that was true.

I'm happy he was alive but expected the process to be a tiny bit more dramatic than stroking him a bit with a wet flannel.

Do you think he'll be the same Jon Snow or the experience will have changed his personality?

Is it Beric Dondarrion that's een brought back six times?

That episode was equally grim and brilliant! I can't wait to see what happens next week now, I need Sansa to make it to the wall and meet Jon. I also need Jon to feed Ramsey to ghost or something equally nasty. I had to forward that scene with the dogs and baby (watching on demand on sky) because I couldn't cope Confused I'd like Tyrian to ride one of the dragons back over to kings landing and toast all the nasty nuns and get Marjorie out of jail - I wonder if her and Cersei will bond over the trauma of it all? Too many questions still! And now I need to know why hodor can't talk!!!

Ooh you rotter OP, you didn't say 2am anywhere in the title.

I've hated the Bran storyline so far, so hopefully that starts to get a bit more interesting now. Although I still can't get past Meera Read being Anne Frank, every time I see her I think of her in that. The actress has such a distinctive face, even in that getup she still has a 40s look about her!

PreviouslyMal · 02/05/2016 12:47

Yep, Beric, brought back by Thoros of Myr.

Poor, poor Walda and her baby Sad
I really thought that Ramsay was genuinely afraid of his father.
He`ll have a bit of a shock at Castle Black, hopefully Wun Wun the giant will rip him slowly to pieces Grin

WeDoNotSow · 02/05/2016 12:47

Missushb Are you sure?
He is definitely mute in the books?
Didn't know if this was something that was not transferred to the show, or whether it was something that people hadn't noticed?

Because if Ghost only howled once Jon was dead, it gives leverage to the theory that Jon watched into Ghosts body when he died...

WARGED not watched .

I was watching with a friend last week and said I suspected that R B would do what he did last night in E2. He is merciless!

I actually screamed at the end 😂

Just watched it! Ramsey is so ruthless- so want him to get his comeuppance soon. Hope Theon will be ok too- he seems so fragile still, don't know how he'll cope among the Ironborn.
But a big, fat yay from me for the ending. Have to agree the process was a bit underwhelming though!

Trauma often makes children stop speaking. Hodor likely saw something really awful.

I liked the part when Bran saw his father, aunt and uncle as children. I like his story line and the 'green seeing' stuff. It reminds me a bit of the weird supernatural dramas for kids I saw as a child.

Danerys's parts bore me, same as they did in the book.

So the warging - is that a Stark blood thing? Or just a random special power thing?

Report
RonniePickering · 02/05/2016 13:01

Aaah fantastic!

Was awful seeing Arya being hit with the stick.

Who is going to off Ramsay the bastard?

Report
lornathewizzard · 02/05/2016 13:02

Also, actually felt sorry for Melisandre - unheard of!

BonerSibary · 02/05/2016 13:03

The manner of Walda's death was unnecessary.

I actually thought Roose had killed Ramsay at first. Would've been better as Roose is the much more interesting character! Ramsay is obviously acted very well, no complaints there, but he's just a sadistic psychopath. There's nowhere for him to go as a character, other than doing more and more twisted things. Which is not that interesting compared to what Roose could do. I know he's awful too, but there's room for him to do a bit more than torture people. The only arc I see for Ramsay now is being increasingly revolting and unwise until his inevitable and presumably horrible demise. He's surely not going to finish up on top because he's not got the sense. His desire to inflict pain will always come first.

I object.

To Davos saying, fuck all the gods - but do you know any magic? Surely the miracles he's seen - Mel could only do them because of her conviction about the fire God or whatever she believes in?

And then she manages to do this difficult thing with only a bed bath and a bit of chanting, even tho she's never done it before?

And I object to it happening so swiftly. Although I suppose if everyone knew he was coming back anyway, we might as well just get on with it.

In the books, of course, Ghost is involved. Not just some wet wipes.

I think it's a random special power thing, but the Starks have a connection with direwolves, so maybe they've got some genetic disposition to be wargs. All the Stark children had a strong connection with their direwolves. What happened to Arya's direwolf? Still wandering about in the Riverlands?
