Mine are:

Ankle boots do not go with everything! In fact they go with very little.

Denim skirts are always wrong.

cropped trews are not obligatory when you feel too old to wear shorts.

Wear what you like, but WEAR THE RIGHT SIZE.

If wearing leggings, your top MUST be long enough to cover your lady region.

large norks and high necked tops - just don't do it - it makes you look like your boobs are round your waist somewhere

Dont wear bootcut trousers tucked into long boots - you need skinny jeans. Sorry.

Some for the men...
Never wear a football shirt unless playing football in a team.

Cropped trousers always look awful.

Report
TigerFeet · 30/03/2010 09:41

There will never be an occasion upon which these will be seen as appropriate footwear

OMG tigerfeet. The pressure to do double-denim has all become too much.

sportswear is for wearing during sports activity......the clue is in the name, people.

Wide leg crops are flattering on.....erm......nobody.

If you can see your cellulite through them, then your skinny jeans/leggings are too tight, love.

Just because it is one of the 5 truly hot days of the year in the UK does not make it okay for you to wear crop tops & minis together in public places.

That lobster pink flesh on your shoulders, back & decollete will not turn brown and does not look attractive. Use sun lotion next time.

KItten heels are disgusting and make you look fat of calf.

I don't care how classic or stylish beige trench coats look, they make you look like Colombo

Please do not wear white jeans with pastel tops. It may work for Liz Hurley but she is a law unto herself.

Do not wear jewellery with swimwear.

Do not wear anything that Alex Curran wears. She is wrong.

mine have already been outlined, leggings should cover bum and sports wear only if playing sports.

My others are sock related:
No socks with sandals unless you are a very cute baby/toddler
No white socks with black shoes.

Oh my god Tiger. I actually feel sort of sad for the poor little mutant.. shoe? Boot? Flipflop? What is it?

City shorts are hideous

Fleeces are for people out fell walking or similar and not everyday use

No slogan t-shirts (wannabe wag/i love shoes/i love Paris/Maneater etc)

Floral/patterned/lace tights on anyone over 21 and size 10 - yuk!

Peplum dresses or skirts - why the horrid hip widening frill? Why?

Report
ShadeofViolet · 30/03/2010 10:07

Top-to-toe leopard print is only suitable for leopards.

If you have large norks - you MUST always wear a bra!

Ugg boots are winter weather - they are not to be worn with hotpants in summer.

Velour is the work of the devil and should not be worn by anyone over the age of 12 months.

Ugg boots are slippers, not outdoor wear. Wearing Ugg copies until the foam 'sole' is dilapidated will give you the broken-ankle duck walk.

Bright green and all variants thereof is disgusting and should never be worn by anyone ever.

Cap sleeves and beefy, tattoo bedecked arms are a woeful combination. Like Bluto from Popeye the Sailor.

Short tops and high waisted 'mom' jeans will give you the look of TweedleDee.

double denim [yikes]

sleepwear with kittens or cartoons on them are not for grown ups eg: nightshirts with little miss naughty on in size 28

knitwear or fleece jackets with animals should be burned if you are over five

No double denim - I don't CARE what Gok Wan says (although I do love GW)

Don't wear white leggings, especially not with leopard print knickers - I actually saw this in town this morning!

Report
TrillianAstra · 30/03/2010 12:50

We don't want to see your knickers - over, under, or through your skirt/trousers.

Just buy a full length mirror and look in it before you leave the house.
