Following on from here

Surely the sun will be out by the end of this thread?

janeite Sat 27-Feb-10 22:03:21

I bought this today. I told dp that it was Vivienne Westwood and then waited for his face to go grey before I told him the truth. It is v nice on.

VerityBrulee Sat 27-Feb-10 22:13:15

Nice top, Janeite, what are you going to wear it with? I look longingly at anything sleeveless, there is no way I could wear it, I am too white and too cold. Even in summer i wear layers!

hanaflower Sat 27-Feb-10 22:13:31

Oooh, hello everyone! Great title VB hmm think I need to call you Verity in order not to think of dodgy Ozzie pubs.

MM Glad you have sunflowers for tomorrow.

janeite Sat 27-Feb-10 22:17:46

Verity - I will layer it, unless I am on holiday! I want to wear it with a pencil skirt and a fitted cardigan, I think.

Since I do not know what 505s or Hasbeens are, I am almost certainly on the wrong thread.

VerityBrulee Sat 27-Feb-10 22:18:34

Dodgy ozzie pubs, shock horror! Must google!

Off to collect ds1 from a sleepover, he changed his mind and wants to come home. I much prefer having him under the same roof as me, so don't mind <soppy mum emoticon>

See you tomorrow smile

hellsbelles Sat 27-Feb-10 22:20:00

hellsbelles Sat 27-Feb-10 22:25:31

ha ha here SFD...loved and hated in equal measure by the ladies of the thread (well Tracey and I love them, not sure how LTEC feels, and I think everyone else hates them wink)

hellsbelles Sat 27-Feb-10 22:26:52

oops x-post SFD - see you've worked it out.

505 is a nail polish...makes you look like someone has punched your nails grin

Right - must go to bed. See you in the morning.

janeite Sat 27-Feb-10 22:27:27

Oh dear. Since the 'Screw' thread, I have admired Tracey's taste. Now I am not so sure!

MrsPotiphar Sat 27-Feb-10 22:27:38

oh that putty stuff
old hat
its green again now

SixtyFootDoll Sat 27-Feb-10 22:29:51

I have just ordered navy, nail polish.

janeite Sat 27-Feb-10 22:30:49

I like navy. And grey. And old lady pink. But my nails are so disgusting lately, that I'm not bothering.

monkeysmama Sat 27-Feb-10 22:35:23

Thanks ladies. smile

hanaflower Sat 27-Feb-10 22:37:24

VB= Victoria bitter. What Australians actually drink, rather than Fosters.

Weirdly found a boutique in town with Hasbeens in the window yesterday. Must start looking at boutique's more - there is another one which stocks Paige denim and Ash shoes. Unfortunately budget not really compatible.

OllieWollieWoo Sat 27-Feb-10 22:47:52

Just in from night out at the Thai restaurant - was lovely. All the girls wore casual dresses - so nice not to be in jeans! I had a rice dish that took me back to lunches at The Churchill on Kensington Church St in London if anyone knows it????

Carciofi - thats weird re us living in the same area! We were there from 2002 til 2005. We had an apartment sort of above the lovely shop that sold the Radley handbags/cards/clothes/jewellery. I loved living there (one of the hightlights was Gwynneth Paltrow doing a model shoot on Shad Thames whilst I was on maternity leave - street was closed but I kept leaning over terrace balcony and taking pics and sending them to all my mates! Seems a world away now!) DH got me a trip to London as a b-day pressie and I can't wait to pop back and have a wander around and get all misty eyed'- in between manically shopping of course!

LetThemEatCake Sat 27-Feb-10 22:52:25

MM - my heart and thoughts with you and your angel tomorrow.

I'm so-so on the Hasbeens. Much prefer these and these

VB love your work, lady - great title!! btw, sold my cosy for £80 so safe to list non-competitively if you're still planning to? grin

Bicester tomorrow ...

traceybath Sat 27-Feb-10 22:58:34

MM - I'll be thinking of you tomorrow sad

Janeite - I love the hasbeens just waiting for them to be in stock in my size. Pretty top and very Westwood.

Regarding nail varnish I've ordered some of the butter one LTEC recommended - many years ago I used to wear Brown Sugar from Chanel which I think was a similar colour.

traceybath Sat 27-Feb-10 22:59:44

LTEC - have a productive day at Bicester smile

janeite Sat 27-Feb-10 23:01:49

They remind me of some lovely sandals I had as a child, with cork heels - I thought I was the bee's knees in them. Unfortunately, nowadays, I manage to fall over even in ballet flats!

Butter nail varnish sounds interesting.

LetThemEatCake Sat 27-Feb-10 23:05:27
