What's with the milk advert that squishes everything to one side?

The site is starting to be incredibly intrusive advert wise at the moment. We had the pop ups that covered most of the screen and now we have a purple milk one that takes up the top and the side Shock

Give it time and I won't be able to read a thing on here bar ads!!

Sorry HQ but this is an absolute pain in the arse.

I know you've got advertising revenue to consider but this is really getting on my tits. Please make it stop!

bumbleymummy · 26/11/2016 14:55

I just got it too. Very annoying.

ThatIsNachoCheese · 26/11/2016 14:57

Just came on to say the same. MNHQ, it makes the site unusable. Get rid!

hatsandbagsandshoes · 26/11/2016 15:00

Ooh, just got it too. Very annoying!

TheCatsWhiskers · 26/11/2016 19:42

Me too. I understand that advertising is required but lately it's made me go to another site

WalrusGumboot · 26/11/2016 19:56

Longdistance · 26/11/2016 20:34

Gah!

I had this earlier, and couldn't get rid of the fucker.

This keeps happening with pop ups too. Not only getting in my nerves, I'm not wanting to come on as they're so fucking annoying Angry

HQ have said on another thread that that advert is deliberate and meant to be there, though should only appear once a day.

Nirvanababy · 26/11/2016 20:39

Uggh! It's super annoying. I know that you have to make your money somewhere, but surely let us read posts without being squashed out by milk

I make a point of NOT buying anything from intrusive ads so it's a complete waste of time and money

BIWI · 26/11/2016 21:42

Install ad blocker. It's free. And you can enjoy MN ad free!

I'm sorry, MNHQ. I know you need to take advertising to generate revenue to keep the site going. But you've really crossed the line recently with intrusive executions.

I had it earlier, i could barely read nor type. Bloody milk - who do cows think they are?

MrsGsnow18 · 26/11/2016 21:50

I had it earlier too Confused I agree with previous poster and avoiding products with annoying ads! That milk has made my list!

WalrusGumboot · 26/11/2016 21:59

Go vegan!

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 26/11/2016 22:33

What the bloody hell made MNHQ think it would be a good idea to make the screen even bloody smaller on mobile.

I am hoping it's a mistake.

I am definitely installing ad blocker now.

JustAnotherSadOldNumber · 27/11/2016 06:18

Mumsnet is getting eaten alive by milk adverts....

It's going to become like the free local paper isn't it, a small bit of text in the centre surrounded by almost a page full of ads.

KatherineMumsnet · 27/11/2016 09:59

Hi all,

So sorry about this! We're flagging with our ads team and will let you know once we have some more info.

WaitrosePigeon · 27/11/2016 09:59

Go vegan!

I am. Doesn't stop the ads coming up though Confused
