Thanks 👍

Coco9910 · 23/06/2022 09:34

@Lianna93 thanks for setting up the new thread!

@Annie1994 congratulations on the safe arrival of George! He’s so cute and so glad he’s doing better now! How are you doing?

ShellUK09 · 23/06/2022 10:18

Thanks for new thread. Many congratulations @annie1994 wonderful news 🥰 enjoy the newborn bubble!

I'm still in hospital 😩 had a rough night with little sleep. Was sick 3 times and really hot so think I did need to be here but feeling much better this morning. Covid test was negative anyway. Medication seems to be helping blood pressure. Just been monitored so much I'm slightly fed up! Hope I don't have to do the heart beat monitor much more, baby has been moving around fine. Haven't heard yet if they will let me out today or if I'm stuck here for another few nights... I'm wondering if the heat has really effected me? Not the start of maternity I had in mind but hopefully it's not for much longer. It was scary when they said if they can't control blood pressure it may mean I need to deliver early

Danani · 23/06/2022 10:24

@Lianna93 thanks for new thread lovely!
@annie1994 congratulations!!! He’s absolutely precious!
@ShellUK09 awww I’m sorry to hear you’ve had a rough night hun, hope you’re both doing well and get discharged today! 🤞🏻

Quick Question for everyone - did you notice any difference in movement when you hit that 34 week mark?
My baby is active but has been super active especially weeks 31,32 and 33. And now that I’m 34 she is less so. I do feel her move - little kicks/jabs and rolls, but she got me used to her being hyper the past few weeks so now I’m starting to question things. Is it worth calling in to go get checked? I have felt her move on multiple occasions already this morning, just less than the past few weeks…

Danani · 23/06/2022 10:38

For example, laid down just now and counted 10+ moves in the span of 5 min. But they feel less pushy than the past few weeks. Am I obsessing? 🤷🏻‍♀️

SamanthaVimes · 23/06/2022 10:57

@Danani ring the assessment unit and tell them what you’ve told us. They’ll know if it’s normal or not.

TheseAreMyGoodPants · 23/06/2022 11:15

Better late than never, but my July baby arrived on the 20th of June! I was induced due to repeated reduced movements and concerns about his growth. He was 6lbs 12oz so definitely not small for a 37 weeker 😂

He's now four days old and perfect ❤️

Thanks @Lianna93 for the new thread.

Congratulations @TheseAreMyGoodPants, what a handsome little guy. That's some efficient baby growing right there xxx

HotToddyColdSauvignon · 23/06/2022 11:31

Thanks @Lianna93 and huge congrats to @annie1994 and @TheseAreMyGoodPants !

ChinChilly · 23/06/2022 11:55

@Lianna93 thanks for the new thread! Scary most of our babies will be here for this thread

@ShellUK09 that sounds rough, hope they let you out soon

@TheseAreMyGoodPants congratulations 🥳

Seriously hot, bothered and uncomfortable today I would warn anybody to approach with caution today 😂

ShellUK09 · 23/06/2022 12:15

@TheseAreMyGoodPants congratulations!! I may be joining you with a 37 week baby if my blood pressure doesn't resolve itself.

@ChinChilly I feel absolutely shattered from just being here. Why I can't take a home monitor kit home instead I'll never know. I only live 5 minutes from the hospital. I'm definitely staying in another night anyway, just been told 😫 this heat is so awful when you are pregnant!

Coco9910 · 23/06/2022 12:25

@TheseAreMyGoodPants congratulations!! He’s adorable 🥰 Hope you’re doing well!

@ShellUK09 ahh bless you you must be feeling so fed up! The heat won’t be helping your blood pressure definitely, as well as stressing about being in hospital! I hope they let you go home today!

ChinChilly · 23/06/2022 12:27

@ShellUK09 I hate being in the hospital it’s always so bloody hot in there and everything takes so long I’m sure it makes my blood pressure go up, it would definitely make sense to let you go home and monitor it at home instead.

NamelessBaby1 · 23/06/2022 12:51

@ShellUK09 how frustrating, I hope you settle down soon and are able to get some sleep!
@TheseAreMyGoodPants AHH another wee cutie! Congrats on the safe early arrival! How did you find the induction?

I'm about to head off for a couple of nights away, will be 37 weeks tomorrow, and so far have spent more time checking and double checking my hospital bag and notes etc than actually packing for my time away haha. At least we won't be too far away but still slightly nervous at being away from home!

EmJay19 · 23/06/2022 14:15

Thanks for the new thread!

Congratulations on the new babies! Two gorgeous boys!!

missv556 · 23/06/2022 15:08

Another growth scan done. 7 lbs 1 oz at 36+4, I'm having at least an 8 pounder at birth

beetree1 · 23/06/2022 15:55

Awww congrats @TheseAreMyGoodPants hes a cutie! Glad it all went well. Have you decided on a name? 😊

thanks for the new thread @Lianna93

i am suffering in this heat. I fainted getting out of the swimming pool yesterday for my dds lessons and we went to a farm today and I nearly went again whilst queuing for a ticket. So embarrassing 😅

strawberrysummer19 · 23/06/2022 16:04

Thanks for the new thread x

laurenGame · 23/06/2022 16:05

Congratulations 🎉 @TheseAreMyGoodPants !! What a lovely size the bub is, how was the induction?

@Danani I've never tracked baby movements but on two occasions I noticed reduction and both times I went in. Baby was fine but I'd rather check. What did they say (if you rang them)?

Danani · 23/06/2022 17:40

Hi! So I did ring them at lunch time, they said best to come in and get things checked. I went it, while I sat and waited to be seen, baby girl decided to have a little squirm party in my belly. The CTG was all fine (she was wiggling throughout), as were my other things like urine/BP, so the midwife said it's all looking good and to go home, but she did say if this happens again to go right in. I guess....she just has a chill day today or something!

Danani · 23/06/2022 17:41

and congratulations @TheseAreMyGoodPants ! what a cutie pie!

Coco9910 · 23/06/2022 21:13

I’m 35 weeks today so starting to think about all the tricks and tips I can start next week at 36 to help with labour. I’m all for the eating 6 dates a day, but does anyone know which kinda dates we should be eating?

Danani · 23/06/2022 22:05

@Coco9910 medjool dates - you can find them in all the supermarkets. They’re super nice and gooey.
I love them sliced with a teaspoon of peanut butter. It legit tastes like Snickers!

strawberrysummer19 · 23/06/2022 22:16

@Coco9910 me too!!!!

I'm on medjool dates as we speak (number 6) sitting on my hall before bed !
