Our little newborns are newborns no more!

Hopefully a while yet before teething and weaning starts, but there's definitely a lot of wiggling and squealing going on already

I had the temerity to wake my little angel at 10am this morning and she let me know how unhappy she was about that in no uncertain terms. She now has a full tummy so is much less grumpy and sitting on my lap telling me a story.

Taken DD to the hospital for her kidney scan this morning, all present and correctly working according to the Director of the department who scanned her. She's obviously a very important baby!

Anyone heard from Cupcakes at all?

Nooooo.

Not even sure where in the UK she is. Poor thing is probably having a hectic time of it.

I was thinking about cupcakes too - I think some of the Late Jan girls are in Facebook contact with her (I don't do Fb).

Little Man still has a temp, but I think I can see a break in his gums (though it's a bit of a feat trying to see them past his favourite slobber fists!!). Poor wee lamb though

I've left her a message on faceache so hopefully she'll get in touch.

Not looking forward to this teething lark. Doesn't sound like fun.

That's good news Running, must be a real relief.
So apparently the 4 month sleep regression isn't a myth. At least that better be the explanation for last night. I was already tired but am absolutely knackered now. What do you think does it exist? If it does how long does the damn thing last?!

Hello ladies, it's been an age since I've been on Mumsnet, have been dealing with other ishoos (namely having problems with my teeth and being scared stiff of the dentist, urgh). So I've been missing in action and thought it was about time I came here to give a little update and see how everyone else was doing .

George has recently had an issue with throwing up too many times after feeds, we'd put him up to 180ml as he was not lasting 3 hours between feeds and with that increase the puking started, so on drs advice we put him back down to 150ml. But that means he has stopped sleeping through the night as he is too hungry , the sickiness has stopped though, so it had to be done.

He has also started rolling over (front to back) and has a really startled look on his face every time he does it which is hilarious, bless him. He's generally a very happy baby who smiles and laughs alot, but when he cries, good lord get the ear plugs ready. He's a screamer!

We have the problem now that he is too tall for 0-3 clothes (mostly), but way too small for 3-6 months, so his poor little toes get scrunched in his sleep suits. Thinking pyjamas may be the answer for the time being untill he grows a bit more.

I have to confess that I haven't taken him to any mum and baby groups yet, I've been pretty lax in that department, still not feeling quite myself yet so hopefully things will improve when I take the Citalopram.

Glad to see all you ladies and babies are doing well, I hope to visit this thread more regularly now, so speak soon.

Hi Rocklover. my baba rolled over for the first time last night on his 16 week birthday no less! About the feet scrunching ... cut the ends off the feet of his babygros. i wouldn't even bother hemming them, just turn them under or tuck into socks if you're venturing out. Take it easy

Alexa is already fitting into 6-9 month clothing (though some 3-6 fits well too). Bridget still fits great in 0-3. Bridget has learned to roll over tummy to back, but Alexa is far from it. She is about where Bridget was a month and a half ago.

This week has been absolutely insane with doctor appointments, work, and other things. I'm so excited for the weekend.

L hasn't rolled over yet, although considering he's only ever on his back or tummy for about 10 mins a week (if that!), it's going to be a while until he gets the hang of it. It's for his own good (big sisters are still being very over-zealous in their love, and unless I sit and watch him like a hawk (or rather, them!), it's not safe to leave him!

I can't quite believe my baby girl is 4 months old already
She is just fitting into 0-3 months still but 3-6 are huge and she looks a bit silly

this week DS2 has been a nightmare, we have started on the naughty step! yesterday he coloured the living room window/windowsill/blinds/TV and changing mat in blue permanent marker all in the time it took me to change Kalis bum! I was not amused!

My job for the day is getting another stairgate to keep him in the playroom.

LadyB - poor you! DD1 was an absolute terror when she was younger and still is these days when she and her Naughty Little Sister get in cohoots , and various things have her signature on them to this day are ruined beyond all recognition . We have many strategically placed rugs and pictures to hide her naughtiness which include dark red nailvarnish ALL over our cream carpet in our bedroom! Worse is she once smeared her vaseline-covered hands all over a friend of mine's bedroom wall. She was telling me yesterday that her DH and dad were painting it at the weekend and couldn't work out why one section wouldn't take the paint

No rolling here, my fat little baby will need arms like Arnie to get off the ground . I did a 5 hour 3 changes train journey yesterday, with Saskia in a sling, a rucksack, a carseat and a nappy bag. Like My Big Fat Gypsy Trainjourney... Leeds station has babychanging/disabled facilities THAT YOU CAN'T USE unless you find the one person with the key. And tomorrow another 3 train changes over to the Cotswolds. I must be mad.

No rolling here either, she can get onto her side but is happy just there for the moment. We have just got a jumperoo though and she loves it, especially if its in the window and she can nosey just like her mam

Just a quick post, in Paris with my mum for the weekend (birth of baby present from DH). Having a lovely time, full night if sleep too, bliss. Will catch up properly when home tomorrow x

Thanks for well wishing - he's all curled up foetal-stylee in his cot on his side in his new shorts-pyjamas - looks so gorgeous. I hate it so much when they're ill, there's a look of plea they give you when you're trying but failing to soothe them Am sure he'll bounce back soon, though may be a few disturbed nights in between.

Is a jumperoo the thing you hang from the door ladyB? We've got one of those but I've only dared put him in it a couple of times when the girls aren't around to swing him about!

bubba its similar but its a free standing one instead, Kali loved the door bouncer one but we had the same sort of problem with DS2! he can still push her about but there isn't the risk of her bouncing off the door frame

It has lights and music too - or at least it will when we put batteries in

Got back from Cyprus last week and things have been pretty hectic since then. Pleased to say that Henry was a diamond flying both ways and made no fuss even though I secretly hoped he would just a little when I saw a few people giving each other 'oh no there's a baby' looks.
DS also not rolling over yet despite me and DH rolling him constantly. He is huge at the minute - a whopping 15 pounds and thinking I might have to start using size 4 nappies as having far too many poo nightmares and constantly scrubbing vests where they leak. Anyone else having this problem?
Hope Lachlan feels better soon hubba. I'm dreading tomorrow as DS has got his 16 week injections.
