Just reporting in to the new page. I am so sorry for everyone feeling bad at the moment cheepz boo newcomers (sorry, how lousy, I can't even remember names...all the details are on the old page!
Feeling awful about the whole thing at the moment. Symptoms are fading now, work is really busy, the possibility of having a baby seems to be distant again somehow.
DH has been away all week and I really miss him too. It will feel better when he's back tomorrow.
Daft question I know, but, what do you buy DD#2 for a birthday in January. She'll be 9 and she's not the sort who 'wants' things. She just likes them when she gets them. I have to shop for her this weekend and I have no ideas. Christmas was yesterday.
Nice new thread, nice new year, nice new cycle - well almost
Look I brought the list
I know I sound unfeasabily cheerful, its all bravado and will disintegrate as soon as DH gets home from event and gives me hug buut its not as bad as last time, and I know it will happen for us when its the right time.
samB it gets better, the bad times get shorter and the ok times get longer inbetween. the worst part is after AF, but before you can start trying, because theres nothing to do and nothing to try and spot! xx chin up

Morning guys.
Cheepz so sorry for the crap news
. Hope you're not feeling too appalling today and that the knowledge that you can fall pg is a bit reassuring. Def make sure doctor is aware so that if (god forbid) it happens again it's all in your notes.

Morning all. cheepz so sorry, thats really crappy. Its raining here, never thought i'd be so pleased to see it, but im sick of the snow, been stuck in for what seems like weeks, so im hoping the rain will wash it all away!
Morning everyone xx
Am in a bad mood. Got up early to travel to London (from Manc) for a meeting with a journalist who has just cancelled on me. And still no smiley face.
Grump grump grump.
well....apparently every single old person that lives in the borough of bexley needed to get their blood taken at 8am this morning or else they wouldn't get their pension this week.....thats the only reason i can think of the RIDICULOUS queue of them waiting there this morning....i mean, they obviously don't have any other time they could possibly do it, not like people who still have to get to WORK by 9am and are desperately trying to get a test without mucking up meetings etc etc.....we have all the time in the world.....
sheesh....
lol Boodle. When do you get told the numbers?
Viv are you famous? Or v knowledgeable? I can interview you if you want, I was a journalist before being a slummy mummy
.
Hahaha no, I'm not remotely famous. I do the PR for an accountancy firm, so I was meeting a dude from the FT to talk about the chemicals industry.
Glamour. There.
Small world - I used to work for the FT (one of their other publications, not the proper big paper).
Hi all,
Cheepz, so sorry. How unfair. I think you're being amazingly brave. Hope you get lots of hugs from your DH as soon as he gets back.
SamB, sorry to hear you're feeling down. It WILL happen for you - and for all of us - at some point (just so frustrating waiting for it to happen though!).
Hello to everyone else.
Well, I'm feeling odd - doesn't feel like AF is due (it should be here by Sunday). My skin is still very clear (it's normally a hormonal mess by now), I'm swaying between being being down, and amazingly cheerful, and I feel nauseous (only a little though, and it could be that bug thats going round). I think I'm deluding myself BIG STYLE here, but am still holding out a bit of hope for this month.
So much so that I'm going to do another test this afternoon (HUGE stupid emoticon). Will report back later!
Hi All,
thank you so much for the welcome. I'm sorry to hear your news cheepz, I'm beginning to think that HPT's are the devil, but as other's have said, its worth getting it on your notes.
I'm off with DS today (every second friday) and he's napping and i feel unaccountably sad. I think its the conjunction of the last week of my cycle (which is becoming a regular quagmire) and the anniversary of my first mc approaching (19th Jan). I just feel so lacking in hope. I even feel like throwing out all my books.
Sorry, into a moan spiral there and we're all in the same boat.
It is great to have some warmth again, we even have a bit of sun here,
Sarah
Hello SarahMum,
You are right HPT's ARE the work of the devil.
Reporting back another BFN! Feeling stupid now to even hope I was pg, following 2 BFN's earlier in the week (duh!!!).
Great, that means that AF will be here in the next 48 hours, over mine and DH's supposedly romantic weekend away
Even stupider, I used a CB Digital - nothing worse than those words popping up on screen ' not pregnant' is there?
tiger commiserations on the 'NO YOU DULLARD YOU ARE NOT PREGNANT' which is how I always feel when I real that 'Not Pregnant' window - feels so bad now I am sworn off even doing one until I know I am Pregnant, just so I can see it in writing - have just bought 25 internet cheapies online for £2.08 plus postage - how cheap is that? assume thats what boods has been on about for months - think she is setting the demographic for the site as it also offered me preseed when I ordered on amazon!
bleeding is heavy but cramping is less, still have backache and headache although thats because I have officially given up coffee, not even a decaf yet today (although am about to relent) in order to stop the caffeine factor which could definitely have been an issue with the amount I drinkevery day, especially over christmas - all those european espressos ...
so for two days in a row old people have given my DS sweets to stop him having tantrums in shops, there I am studiously ignoring the tantrum and some helpful old person comes and rewards him for his crap behaviour! Then they give me a wink and say 'can you tell i have grandchildrem' - feel like saying well go reward them for having a blatent terrible two tantrum, as a result DS now when he wants his own way wails then looks at me and says quietly 'weets' in a hopeful voice. its all i can do not to laugh!!
viv hate that when you travel for a meeting and the other person is a no show, without a by your leave - its like your time means nothing to then - hate lateness
sarahmum its a rubbish time, everything about ttc especially after and mc is crap and HPTs generally make things worse, although was quite relieved when was able to confirm mc by using HPT yesterday
effi like you so glad the snow is going, thatussut made everything so much harder to manage, even getting out of the house was a total coat, scarf, hat, boots mission. Now we are just grey and wet - fantastic
have had an ok day - seeing doctor at 5, at least can get it noted on record and ask questions, although I doubt they will be able to tell me anything I haven't already googled!!1
boo fingers crossed for you bloods hon
lee, barrenb, tfls wasssup...
bloomin eck. hcg now 8216 (doubling time 40hrs)
progesterone is 85!!! there is me hoping for 20....doctor says he has never known an ectopic that makes it over 30 so looking really good for being in the right place.....won't believe it til i see it of course but hey....apparently QE hopsital will be calling me on monday to arrange scan...
....all of this does nothing to dispel the idea that there may be boodlebeans in there you know.......
woot woot

thats such great news lovely.
ah tigerbear so sorry you got a DIGI BFN....those ones are like a kick in the teeth i know that for sure....
the best cheapies i have used were the instalert ones as they come in a tube and are not individually wrapped....ah gotta love preseed....i hope you bought some!!
Hi all, just saving my seat
great news boodle... warning though, I will be UNSPEAKABLY

if it IS beans plural
cheepz you're sounding in a good place (for a really shit time); your little one sounds like a right cheeky chimp - love him!
Hi everyone,
I'm new to this - I think a few of you helped me out on the miscarriage thread - I had a mmc the other week, had the ERPC last Friday (the 8th) - would've been 10wks then.
We're thinking of just TTC straight away, rather than waiting for my next period - does anyone know of any problems doing that (apart from not being able to get the dates right if I did happen to get pregnant?). It sounds weird, but I kind of just want to get back to it - not sure if this is the right thing to do?
Anyway, will wait another week at least!! Hope you all have a lovely weekend, and thanks for this thread - I just had the best couple of hours reading through this and vol. 2 before it, bit emotional sometimes!
xxxx
ah hello bear...welcome to the thread...can you believe their was actually a volume one to this thread too....
i had a mmc at my 13wk scan in apr last year....horrible experience.....like yourself i wanted to get back to it straight away and got pretty demented about it for a while....{vol one i think ha} sadly the next preg ended in an ectopic in september....i totally understand why you want to try again straight away and if you feel up to it then go right ahead....put your stats up and someone {more skilled at updating than me...} will put you on....we call the 1st cycle after MC the WTF cycle....good luck....get ready to share far too much information with us....
hello goodluckbear and be very welcome. Lots of people start TTC right away and others take a month or two, its more about how you feel than anything else I think.
So just got back from doctor, she was lovely, very sympathetic, is sending me for some basic blood tests to check clotting and cell count and a few other things, but essentially she said its very common for many women to have 2 or more miscarriages in a row before having a sucessful pregnancy, that because I have had sucessful pregnancy already and am with same partner it improves my odds considerably, that she has not had a patient who has had a child who has not gone on to have another, even when they have had 4 or 5 miscarriages. She said there is no point in testing my fertility because thats clearly ok, she said not to worry about my age because at 37 I am still considered relatively low risk on an age factor, she did advise to leave 2 cycles just to recover emotionally and ensure all debris is 'out', also blood results will be 4 weeks from when I get them done which will be next week so should wait until after that.
Actually I feel like waiting a little while just to get emotionally ready to try again, but when I get my peak on the monitor this month would be a little hard not to have a crack at it!
Overall she said its unlucky, nature and not anything I can do about it or could have done about it. She dis say when I get pregnant again - loved that she said when not if!! - I should book in early and they will do an early scan for me.
all in all very positive and feeling ok, just wondering if now was best time to do caffeine withdrawl as have minging headache!
best to wean yourself off slowly....thats what i have been doing {mind you the hormone headaches i have been having are awful anyway...} i was drinking buckets of good coffee but have weaned self slowly down to one in the morning.....have one and you will be suprised how the headaches will go cheepz...
glad to hear you are taking this on the chin....good girl, you will get there, we all will eventually...can't change what is meant to be can you....proud of you tho kiddo
boodle fab news about the hcg levels, i wait with bated breath for your scan..
cheepz you are a living marvel! well done for being so philosophical about it all.. it would be up to you about the break so whatever makes you more comfortable. so sorry it happened xxx
goodluckbear fair play to you for reading TWO THOUSAND prior posts. i;d say you saw some ups and downs from all of us and also what a nice bunch there is here and how many grads we're accumulating! welcome!
tiger are you thinking of testing yet?
right as for me, its now cd 32 of a ucl 30-32. no af. no bfp. awful cramps way worse than i usually get. cant figure it out at all.. have been expecting af at the door for the last few days with on and off cramping. then i thought maybe its early pregnancy cramping but now that af is due and i got a bfn this morning im totally confused.. boo!
