Ooooh thanks Brian you're very good to us...

Off to bed now but I'll leave out some (non-blue/soft) cheese and biscuits for anyone who has midnight munchies.

Daisybell1 · 07/03/2011 06:54

Blimey, a weekend away, and there are masses of posts and a new thread to catch up on!

Wombat I hope that the bleeding has stopped. I can't remember if I've told you about my best friend - she bled constantly throughout her pregnancy - it was heavy and bright red. Ok, she was hospitalised several times throughout for monitoring, but she is now the proud mother of DS1 who is 18 months old and as bright as a button. Despite the bleeding, everything was fine Grin

Tunnocks Hope you're ok and have a fab holiday.

Pink did you manage to find the zen again?

Knitter I was recommended Floxelin? when I was feeling wobbly. It comes from heath food shops (tastes disgusting!) but my MW told me to try it (and a steak) to try and prevent being anaemic before it starts - if that makes sense...

Velvet can't believe your MW! I was always under the illusion that these people had to be lovely, clearly not Shock

Nix I'm sure you didn't panic us, I'm an imposter here for the same reasons (friends who've had late problems). I'm now chanting the statistics to myself, and who does the pie charts? I think I may need to draw myself one this afternoon.... Good idea for the dopler fix though.

Mamap my MW didn't believe my adjusted due date from my early scan either and still stuck to my LMP dates. I knew I was a week on from that and the dating scan confirmed it. The only thing I was worried about was making sure that the NT scan was still within the right timeframe.

Phew! Apologies for anyone I've missed out. Day off today (woo hoo) so pottering (ie nesting) at home. Have a fab day everyone Grin

nickstermum · 07/03/2011 09:37

morning all,, what a beautiful day :) Fecking freezing but nice and sunshiney!

Who needs a doppler fix today huh? definately felt some movement this morning... phew !Grin

I was taking spatone. Unprescribed as they dont test for anemia here as standard, despite being requested! I took 4 days worth,, and it had a not nice effect on said bottom!! Feel better now anyway... think i more likely had a bug.

Daisy - enjoy your nesting. I am working from home pottering mn'etting sortingwashing nesting too today Grin

Emoo · 07/03/2011 09:44

Hello all,

Just popping in to say hi to everyone, especially Katharine and Hils - CONGRATULATIONS ladies!, and to polish the tiled floor around Izzy 's beanbag. I hope you are all doing okay and ticking over nicely.

Horribly busy workwise at the moment, and really need to get on with it; am likely to remain busy all week Sad so will probably lurk from time to time and not post much.

Still lots of brown goo, but not quite so mental about it now, as they told me to expect it. Sadly, if it goes red again, I need to have another blood test and probably another injection in the bum. Lovely.

nickstermum · 07/03/2011 09:54

In my very selfish posting last night i forgot to welcome Katharine & Hils.. Fantastic news & congratulations both xx

Welcome to the world of knicker checking and fanjo wiping... mentalling at a newer level xxxx

PinkFondantFancy · 07/03/2011 10:18

Wish I could feel my baby moving Envy. That won't be for months yet, and even getting to a 12 week scan is still weeks away, assuming my body hasn't cocked it up by then :(

hotnspicyonions · 07/03/2011 10:45

Morning! Phew, it's just taken me about an hour and a half to catch up on threads old & new. Blimey ladies it has been a busy weekend.

Teacakes fab news on the heartbeat. It's v v v exciting news indeed. Glad I can unx fingers now (slight cramp!) and looking forward to more lovely news and updates from you.

Other scanners (can you tell PG Brian has made me forget who you are already!) lovely news. I'm looking forward to finally seeing my GP on Wednesday morning to see whether she thinks I need early scan.

Welcome to Katharine & hils cakes, haribos, mentoes, crumpets etc in abundance here. Expect mentalling and weight gain stories from you soon Wink

Waves to everyone else, nice to see there are a few lurkers still. Beanbags will be pumped and fluffed in anticipation of your arrival.
Have had a few chuckles at VIP area. For some reason it makes me think of rudey things?!?! Must have dirty mind Wink

Had lovely weekend in London with the girls. I ended up telling them I was PG on the train on the way up. I'm not a good liar and would have Blush at not drinking and using other excuses. Was strangley ok at being sober and watching the carnage that was created inlcuding taking over Italian restaurant turning into a karaoke joint! Had slight wobble Saturday morning, red wipe with first morning wee. Didn't dare tell DP as don't think he would have liked me going to the Big Smoke. But then nothing else happened so put it down to busy day Friday!

Not touching list to update, leaving it to the professionals!

owlbooty · 07/03/2011 10:45

It might not be moving, Pink , it might be trapped wind Grin

I'm still not 100% sure either way tbh.

Here, have this Pie Chart made out of a real pie. You are getting closer and closer to your 12 week scan; after all, are you not 11 weeks today? When is the scan booked for?

digitalgirl · 07/03/2011 10:48

bookmarking.

You'll be pleased to know rage has subsided and DH's quiche turned out fine. Had awful backache last night, which has also subsided. Phew.

nickstermum · 07/03/2011 11:04

Owls you took the words right out of my mouth! Was just about to say to pink... 14 days sounds better Grin Bloody subconcious - those dreams are just the pits :( 18 weeks today though chic... inching closer to that halfway point Grin

owlbooty · 07/03/2011 11:33

18 + 1 today! Looks like Brian has got to you too Nix Grin

mrsrobinredbreast · 07/03/2011 12:01

Morning all,

Blimey, only went away for weekend and you've posted oh-so much!

Congratulations to Hils and Katharine. Welcome to the mad-house!

Fantastic news teacake on the tinyteacake's scan.

Owl, don't be fretting that the movement is off and on. At 19 weeks with DD, I phoned the mw in tears (see I was mentalling before mmc, imagine what I am like now!) to seek advice as I hadn't felt any movement for 2 or 3 days. She told me not to worry as sometimes bubs goes "deep into the pelvis" and you don't feel the movement at this stage cos they're still only wee.

DD is still spotty but at Mum's today while I go on mumsnet work.

Symptoms seemed to have disappeared over weekend and I nearly needed Owl to pop by with a fresh haddock but I am feeling quite sick today so I'm pleased. Strange though that sounds.

Right, I really must work. Waves to all.

nickstermum · 07/03/2011 12:14

robins im glad you said that,.. i think thats what i am experiencing! Hardness behind my bladder, and hence i cannot wear anything that cuts across it! DS used to go very low also... thats reassuring Grin

Owls clearly you are more of an accountant than I!! 18+ 1 even closer Grin

Mum and Sis poopoo'd me last night fretting about movement... "its only very early" they both said!!!

hotnspicyonions · 07/03/2011 13:43

Nickster I don't think 18+1 is too early. I loved feeling DS moving around and kicking inside me. Very much looking forward to that time again!
I have just felt what can only be described as a karate chop. Good job DP has gone back to work as I'm dreading the wind that's bound to follow!! I've just consumed a bacon & chicken club baguette from Greggs along with an iced lemon drizzle donut. Nom nom nom! Daren't get on scales!! And still hungry!

nickstermum · 07/03/2011 13:49

It is early onions. I didnt feel DS until 18 weeks, plus also this time i have a uterus muffler. Many women dont feel movement until 20 weeks.

owlbooty · 07/03/2011 13:50

Woohoo! YRMOTB just saw your exciting weddingness news on t'other thread! YAY!

owlbooty · 07/03/2011 13:53

Also; what I find amazing is that something can be in your innards and 12 cm long (apparently) in a container the size of a small melon (so says t'internet) and you can't neccessarily feel it at all!

Wtf is that all about? And it's weird that it varies so much when people can first feel things. I read somewhere that 22 weeks for first movement isn't considered abnormal either. So that's an 7 week window where you may or may not feel anything.

Btw Owlet is now booting me in the side. I'm not sure he approved of the tuna I ate for lunch. Either that or it's more trapped wind. Oh dear Blush

Hello lovelies! wow loads going on this weekend!!!

Big hugs to wobblers all (of the emotional and doughnut-induced variety! :) and special welcome to the new joiners - congratulations!!

Daisy very glad your nuchal scan went well!!

Who else has had scans??? Damnit, I can't remember anything! Even DH now just shouts 'Brian' at me when I do stupid things or forget what I've just been told [frequently]. Gah - I thought pg-brain was a myth!

In news here I told family at the weekend. They are all v excited and I'm still terrified! BUT I have now had three days in a row with no bleeding - the longest for a month!!! Really hoping that continues!

I can't wait for kicks here. Unfortunately I'm a long way off as this is my first. Getting a lot of funny rumbles and gurgles though Blush and my tummy is starting to give the game away, despite the fact I haven't yet told work...

Had a bit of a shock yesterday when I discovered the people I'd had a long sunday lunch with had spent the week looking after a child with chickpox, but hopefully I'm immune - had a blood test this morning to make sure so should know within a few days. Can't believe I seem to stumble from one source of mentalling to the next!!

Right, better get on, just a quick wave to you all and especially to our VIPs in waiting Izzy and yrmotb! xxx
