Yay new Fred! Primarni have red knickers with furry trim. In case anyone is struggling with their packing! Could ask partner to stroke furry bits as invite to have the sechs. Let's hope the mountain air makes this thread as fertile as the last. I can't ski so am probably jinxed!

You will have to remain in the lodge reserving a table, wearing a cute hat and saying things like "gnarly dude". Those of us skiing will need a "hot bloke" update when we come back in and you'll need to help us out if we've got a bad case of helmet hair. Primarni knick-knacks sound fab!

Ho ho ho Haglets, nice new Fred Ski although I'm not a skier so have booked lessons with this chap am also wearing my garish hand knitted Christmas jumper so I'll stay snug in the snow.

Brownie am pleased you're sounding chirpier. Hope you can manage Christmas and ski hols without additional trauma. Sounds like you've got a good network to rely on.

I finished work today and have done all my wrapping whilst listening to Christmas moosik and am feeling festive. Off to start the frolicking at my Dad's tomorrow with lunch for 14 people. Thankfully am not involved in cooking. Then 8 for luch at the ILs' on The Day and 11 at my Mom's on Boxing Day. Much catching up with chums next week and lots of booze so funtimez all round.

alps I have plenty of imaginary symptoms but am not supposed to poas till new years eve. Ha ha. No chance. My imaginary symptoms involve boobs of course. But at 6 dpo that is impossible. It's even too early for pms. Maybe they are recovering from last weeks shag fest?

Am feeling very cross with self for being insanely jealous of a good friend who deserves every happiness. Sent me a card, is due in April. Why must everyone else get diffed when I should be?! She would have conceived as I was miscarrying, which makes it irrationally unfair.
Ho hum. Who knows, perhaps she had been trying for ages too? And am genuinely happy for them really. Just still feeling a bit bitter and angry at times.

I know boo's a bit woo (this is inspired by a thread on spirituality btw) - any of the rest of you admit to it? I had an early mc about 18 months ago and just after I lost it I had a very powerful dream. I was older, in my late-50s and he was sat at the breakfast table aged 23. I am convinced that the baby was a boy and that he'll be there when I die.

It's not so much the booze I have a hangover from (Prosecco, white wine spritzers and one bottle of Crabbies) so much as the amount of green fags I smoked last night.

Ever the Mummy, despite my lack of sobriety, at 2am this morning I was bandaging the bloody finger of a 19 year old lad (a friend of my friend's son) who had nearly sliced it off trying to steal a letter from a shop sign. The letter W from Hawkins Bazaar in fact. Fecking students.

Now to wash the fag smoke out of my hair before I see my Mum later (she thought I gave up 6 years ago. Well I nearly did. What do you mean I'm 38 and I'm my own woman and don't need to pander to her any more? :o )

Anyway - there has been a distinct lack of anything remotely sapphic on this fred for a while. Who cares to join me in the jacuzzi?

boo I am trying to knock the green fags on the head, I've not had any since Tuesday. We had to sign life insurance papers on Weds and it was all a bit "grown-up". I won't bore you with the details because you know it all too well yourself. I just wish I could control it so that twice a year I go out and buy a packet. :(

Glad you had a good night though! I am v impressed with jb. We got 18" of snow in the last 24 hours (actually 18" Canadian style, you know, as in 18" and not a dusting ) - anyway, he walked to work last night as he didn't want us going out in the car with the baby. I woke at half four this morning and thought as I was up I'd go pick him up but to my horror saw there'd been a foot overnight. So I went back to bed. Loads of people didn't turn up to work last night but he did an extra shift to get stuff for me & Bear. Awww.

Am wondering whether to go skiing later - I'm about 2 miles away from the world's biggest indoor ski slope - when it's very snowy they open the doors at the top so you can take the chairlift up and then ski back down the hill outside. AIBU to i) put the baby in a backpack? or ii) leave him the car but with the window cranked open for a bit of fresh air?

Re green fags - I rarely buy them and can go for weeks without smoking. However once I have a drink in my hand and am with the group of friends I was with last night - the Hedonists gawd bless 'em - I smoke far too much. Filthy pointless habit. I'm supposed to be giving up fags too. We said we'd do it together in the new year. I used to smoke greens but I gave em up and then went back to normal fags when I restarted. I know I can do giving up, did it no probs when diffed. Really was annoyed with myself for restarting!

Alpine the night before I lost last baby (I'd been bleeding heavily for a few days) I dreamed that my Dad who died two years ago came to take the baby from me to look after. Was very comforting.

Anyway on fags front you should try having a Mother with Emphysema from smoking. Puts you right off. Although my sis has carried on because she's an idiot.
