By hook or by crook we will shag our way to victory - thread for the JSing viroids

Miffles · 19/11/2010 17:18

The (updated) (again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you?ve had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended).

Covet thy husband and enjoy every minute. Shag at every opportunity - shag-capes and awesome superpowers optional.

Keep acronym-age to a minimum! EWCM is now to be referred to as 'pant snot'. Try not to get sucked in by Fertility Friend (at least for a while), but knowing where you are in your cycle and furkling for pant snot is most definitely allowed.

Bunting is to be put out for any small victory, thread-parties are held regularly and hugs are always welcome! Grin

Once you have your BFP, feel free to hang around and share your wisdom and virtual cocktails with the JSers.

Keep us up to date with gossip!

*

Most of these rules are well and truly broken!! But we try to chill - honest

nickel - your name change - it's not Christmas yet!! Have you been singing carols?!

(Welcome to the thread, by the way...so glad someone's come over!)

OP posts:
SingingMog · 19/11/2010 18:24

Rar - just posted this then saw you had new thread, so will post again here!!!.....

LOL - kinkiness and pombars in the same thread smile you guys are on fire today!!!

Nelly good luck with your car.

Esk, I know what you mean about being knackered. We've got another late night next week at school but at least next Fri is INSET. Hope you manage some silent JSing!

Sad to DarkStar, feel better soon.

2wd you must be knackered with all the teething and PIAR that is going on at your end.

Josie, naughty migranes. With any luck your DH will have recovered after his sleep and you can get some JSing in.

I have a question about dodgy pains, but involves possibly TMI... this morning we were JSing before work and when I was getting close I had funny pains in the period pain region. I sometimes used to get pains like this before I stopped taking the pill, but only a few days before ERTD. I am only on CD18 I think at the moment, so not close to AF. Had to say to DH that I couldn't come cos it was hurting me a bit but it was OK for him to carry on!!! Blush I then had to try not to. What a morning!!! What do you think it is?

Oh and Bear

SleepyCaz · 19/11/2010 19:18

Hullooo.

Nice new thread!

Miff - No worries about the graduate thing, deffo not counting my chickens at this stage, have been here before. But crossing EVERYTHING.

As for DH running around me with hot drinks, he got in from work at 6.30pm, and left for the gym at 6.45! He did help me get the DC's out of the bath and dried off though. Think it was more so he could get some cuddles than anything else though Grin

Anyone up to anything good?

baby2b · 19/11/2010 20:28

Lovely new thread!

Singingmog how did you get the cute bear pic?!

SingingMog · 19/11/2010 20:34

I've washed my vitamins down with wine again Grin.

You just put [ bear ] but without the spaces, b2b.

Your DH sounds like he is being lovely Sleepy.

New thread hugs Smile.... kippers to follow, I'm sure.

santababy2b · 19/11/2010 20:40

Sleepy not up to anything too exciting. Just fancy a really chilled out weekend and maybe some retail therapy. My dh is back this tonight and af just finished, so time to get the jsing cape back on and get to it! I think I need a new 'number', so might try and pick up a new cape tomorrow. Hmm

Singingmog not sure about the pains...sounds very annoying though.

Hoping everyone is having lots of glasses of wine tonight and our lucky bfps are relaxing! bear

santababy2b · 19/11/2010 20:41

Bear that's better...cross posted, lol

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 19/11/2010 20:54

Sleepy goodness, you must be so up in the air. I am keeping everything but my legs crossed for the right result for you :)

2wd you have my heartfelt sympathies, I am a nutcase on the 2ww as well, which is why this bout of illness is simultaneously annoying ('could these symptoms be pg-related?') and a welcome distraction ('bleugh, I feel far too shit to care either way at this point'). DS woke up at 12, 2 and 4 last night so I feel your pain.

Having said that, I haven't been sick or even felt sick today which is a plus - just totally and utterly knackered, and my stupid back injury has flared up again so am hobbling about like a granny. Why does this always happen when DH is away?

ttl wow, you have official pg paperwork being completed. Face it lady, you are up the stick Grin

SingingMog thanks for the good wishes :) and may I offer you a hearty punch on the shoulder for such dedicated JSing Grin No idea on the pains, although I sometimes get them from particular positions.

Miffles have a lovely weekend with your dad :)

DS is in bed and my tea is almost cooked, so I reckon it's bath and bed for me soon. Rock and/or roll.

SingingMog · 19/11/2010 21:03

Defo a rock & roll lifestyle DarkStar! Old back injuries always start hurting when you get ill. As if being ill isn't enough Hmm

SleepyCaz · 19/11/2010 21:12

Mog - DH is being lovely. When he got in from the gym, he'd brought back a Double Decker for me [grin}

B2B - Thaks for the yummy Bucks Fizz! Watering it down with lemonade ;)

Darkstar - Thank you!

takethatlady · 19/11/2010 23:42

Thanks for the new thread miffles

Fingers crossed sleepycaz

Just went out to celebrate a friend passing her PhD. Got to the pub and it was just me, her and her OH for a couple of hours before everyone else arrived, so the drinking of orange juice and lemonade was too conspicuous. She was really sweet and really tactful about it though.

Then I left the pub at 11, threw up in a bush, got in the car and drove off. Glad the police weren't there - I'm sure they'd have wanted scientific evidence that I was preggo and not pissed Grin

twowoulddo · 20/11/2010 00:10

Ooh yay I feel much more settled in a new thread!

singingmog I love the PIAR acronym! Grin
I am done with the waiting, would rather AF arrive now. Cramping like a good 'un so shan't be waiting long I doubt.

darkstar Hope you feel better soon x

twowoulddo · 20/11/2010 00:11

TTL Oh is it bad that I found that really funny?! Blush Hope you're feeling better in the morning.

Truffkin · 20/11/2010 00:12

Hi new fred love what you've done with it Mifflington

Sorry for absence this week. Work has been stupid, just utter utter poo. I've also been refusing to symptom spot and burning the candle at both ends somewhat. Had leaving do at work last night and over indulged severely on wine, food and cocktails! Also have big girlie catch up tomorrow and will again be mostly enjoying food and alcohol really!

Caz fingers crossed for you

TakeThat I actually LOLed at the boak in a bush story. Very funny, I think you should collect all of your anecdotes together for a book.

Hi to everyone else, hope all viroid weekends are going well.

SingingMog · 20/11/2010 08:04

SleepyCaz - yay for DH [cheering emoticon] I haven't had a Double Decker for eons.... wonder if they have them in Tesco Express....

TTL puking in a bush, how grim. At least you see the funny side of it. Your friend will now probably be dying to hear an announcement from you so she can shout "I knew it!" with much glee Wink

Truffkin, I think you might actually be following thread rules! I ended up having three glasses of wine (large) last night and fell asleep on the sofa at about 10pm, at the end of Celeb. Then when I went to bed I kept waking up and having odd dreams about buying Easter eggs with names on for some students at school and the shop spelling them wrong. V odd.

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 20/11/2010 10:35
Bear

Blimey viroids?! What's the hurry to fill up this lovely new thread? Grin

2WD Have you forgotten the unwritten rule about sharing 2ww mentalness. It relieves the pressure for you and keeps the rest of us amused. And we all go through it.

TTL funny as always Grin

DH wants me to get out of bed and trek across town. sigh

nickeldonkeyonadustyroad · 20/11/2010 10:44

you can't talk to me after half 5! i've gone home! Grin

miffles - it's an advent name - the donkey is on a dusty road on its way to Bethlehem - not got there yet, so advent (yes, i know it's still a week till advent, but i couldn't wait!)
Grin

i'll change it again later.

morning, everyone!
Bear

nickeldonkeyonadustyroad · 20/11/2010 10:47

caught up now.

takethatlady Grin

throwing up in the car park is a great sign, though! fab! Grin

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 20/11/2010 10:58

Morning Nickel

I've just twigged. Has the Bear got anything to do with Children in need? I actually get a little Angry at cin because it's the bbc and they can throw their weight around and make people feel bad for not donating, when actually there are so many other good causes to give to too and I haven't the money to give ot anyone to be honest.

Sorry that came out rantish, will go back to fluffy and light now (but not to sleep)

BrassicaBabe · 20/11/2010 11:17

Morning viroids!

Lovely new thread.

PMSL for takethat puking in bushes. Sorry, not very supportive eh Grin

Still in my dressing gown here Blush very unusual for me. I'm really milking this cold.

Prunes slowly seem to be working. (Hot water theory a load of tosh!) A good handful twice a day at the moment is umm easing the situation BlushGrin

I am an evil woman. I had a major sulk last night because I wanted a glass of wine! I don't have many hobbies, but drinking was def one of them. I've had to cancel a much looked forward to wine tasting planned for this evening. Grr.

I POA-posh-S this morning. Digi test said 3+ weeks!

Looking forward to the 2ww madness setting in here good and proper! Grin

vallinnapod · 20/11/2010 11:23

Morning all - OK TMI but, well....Blush sooooooo constipated. Taken 5 max strength laxatives (over two days) and still only managed a teeny one this morning....

nickeldonkeyonadustyroad · 20/11/2010 13:30

nmcb i don't know about CiN for the Bear . we all think it's for pombears.
will find out, i suppose....
I haven't donated anything - i get a lot of requests for donations for raffle prizes for local events and that's the best i can do.
if CiN will take books, then I'll give them one!

Dynababy · 20/11/2010 13:37

Morning all lovely viroids! I've been a bit busy so lots to catch up on!

Congrats on starting the thread miffles lets hope it brings you lots of luck!

Sleepycaz sounds like you've got some better news keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you.

Truffkin you know what the thread rules state!!

BB and Vallinna wishing you both big poos haaa haa ha!! Grin

TTL puking in a bush top class! PMSL.

My news, got 3+ on the 2nd french digi i bought when over in Paris was well chuffed. Went to docs Thurs and officially signed up as prego lady (he did say at 5 weeks I was quick off the mark!) but hey I'm excited!! When did other pg viroids do this? Do you usually wait to 6-7 weeks?? I'm not up on this type of thing!!

On call this weekend and can't wait to be ooff it on Monday, usually would be heading stright for pub but will settle for a nice dinner instead.

Hope you al have a lovely and shagtastic weekend. Happy humping JS'rs!!

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 20/11/2010 13:49

Ah, constipation...it's such hell isn't it? I'd never really experienced it before my second trimester with DS, but oh my god, how uncomfortable. My sympathies to all those bunged up.

I will probably be joining you soon as I am mainlining cocodamol. Woke up with my back well and truly borked, so am hobbling around after DS in a kind of S-bend shape, bent to one side and with my arse sticking out Blush I'm afraid my parenting this afternoon will consist of The Jungle Book and sandwiches.

Tis a very grey day here, making me miss DH even more.

Dynababy that is great news :) With DS, I was down the docs the day after getting a BFP Blush and it was NYE day - how's that for overexcited?
