Hello @LittleMrsMama ! I have had a very early positive at 10dpo this week so only very tentatively joining the pregnancy board as still early days! I reckon I'd be due 28th/29th nov so am also in the due November group over on the pregnancy board! When are you due?

LittleMrsMama · 19/03/2022 21:30

Welcome @BabyBird20 ! I'm only 11DPO so still super early too but nice to chat to others at this stage! Have you been pregnant before? This is my 3rd pregnancy. DD is almost 2yrs, and sadly 2nd pregnancy ended in miscarriage earlier this year. I'm really hoping this one works out!

I think I'd be due around 29th Nov

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss @LittleMrsMama , fingers crossed this one is a sticky bean for you! I have a DS who is 21 months and have been ttc since last June so still in shock that it's finally happened I think! Pretty anxious about it all as had an awfully traumatic birth after a stressful pregnancy but so wanted a sibling! Currently laying awake with heartburn and nausea thinking I didn't have such strong symptoms this early last time! Hopefully it's a good sign!

Hannahbobs · 21/03/2022 09:16

Hi! I've just joined the Nov 2022 thread but thought I would pop in here 👋 I got a faint positive on Saturday followed by a definite one this morning at 13DPO, due around 25th Nov but maybe later, as I ovulated late due to an early miscarriage last month. I have a 15 month old daughter who is a December baby- I was 10 days overdue with her so this may also be another December baby 🙈

LittleMrsMama · 21/03/2022 10:29

@BabyBird20 thank you, and I hope it's a sticky bean for you too after trying since June. I hope this pregnancy goes more smoothly for you and you're able to enjoy it, especially you'll have been the same as me with giving birth during covid and spending the last trimester in lockdown :( I remember picking out all my baby bits on the internet!

Welcome @Hannahbobs ! I thought I'd set this group up as we're all closer being the end of the month so likely to go through the first scans etc together. I'm also 13DPO today! :) sorry to hear about your miscarriage last month. I had a miscarriage in January and have been struggling a bit with this pregnancy, I feel so anxious! What was it like having a winter baby with DD1? My daughter is a summer baby and it was nice going for works and being able to breastfeed without freezing my nipples off!

OP posts:
Hannahbobs · 21/03/2022 10:51

Thanks @LittleMrsMama great idea! I know, being due right at the end of the month can mean we are almost 4 weeks behind some of the others which makes a big difference early on!

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage and struggle too! I'm feeling more hopeful this time but also going to take each day as it comes. Last month my tests didn't get that much darker and stayed faint but they seem to be this time 🤔

It was a weird winter to have a baby, she was born 20th December so was completely zonked for Xmas, then lockdown happened for 4 months! Otherwise I think I would have enjoyed it, meeting up with other mums and going for coffee! It was a struggle being so close to Xmas but I think being a month before and having a small baby at that time will be magical!

LittleMrsMama · 21/03/2022 21:59

@Hannahbobs you're so right, 4 weeks can feel like forever at this stage and also when we're due and it seems everyone else has their babies.

Thanks re the miscarriage. I found it much harder than I ever thought I would, and now don't feel in a celebratory mood at all as I'm so anxious but then I'm feeling guilty because I'm lucky to be pregnant again and should be really happy. Sounds like some good signs you'll have a sticky bean with the lines progressing. Mine is the same!

Wow that is close to Christmas! You must have been shattered! I hope you're right, after a few weeks we should be into the swing of things with our little ones. It's such a shame you went straight into lockdown. Winter and lockdown is so hard too as walks aren't much fun!

@BabyBird20 I hope you're doing ok and the nausea and heartburn is easing up/you're finding a way to cope! Definitely a good sign to have strong symptoms, maybe you'll be having twins?!

BabyBird20 · 21/03/2022 22:21

Thanks @LittleMrsMama and welcome @Hannahbobs ! Sorry I went a bit quiet as was v anxious about af being due yesterday but so far so good, had a nice strong line today and am technically 4 weeks tomorrow. Time has definitely slowed down, it feels like I should be at least 6 weeks by now!

Eek @LittleMrsMama I must admit I've been down a bit of a google spiral looking at what it could mean having strong symptoms early on. Apparently some people reckon the more you feel the more likely it is to be a girl but I'm not sure I believe that! My cramping finally seems to have eased off but my boobs are falling out of my bra and I'm still getting some nausea.

I must admit I'm looking forward to having a more normal end of pregnancy and new born stage this time! My ds was born in June so full lockdown, no visitors or baby classes etc... a very strange time!

Due end November/early December
LittleMrsMama · 22/03/2022 07:43

@BabyBird20 I know right, I feel like the first trimester goes so slowly! It's such an isolating time but also when we're likely to feel our worst ☹️ Will you be getting an early scan? I want to just to check everything is ok and not get my hopes up like my last pregnancy! I hope 6 weeks comes around quickly

What was your sickness like with DS? I was so ill with DD, throwing up from about 4 1/2 weeks until 13ish weeks. It may well be an old wives tale but so far everyone I know that had strong symptoms went on to have girls.

Looks like great line progression! Yes I can't wait to have a fairly normal pregnancy this time round, I feel we were all a bit robbed of our first pregnancy and it's not quite the same second time

OP posts:
BabyBird20 · 22/03/2022 08:51

@LittleMrsMama I totally get what you mean about it being isolating. I've decided to tell a few more people this time, just family and closest friends who would be there for me if it all went wrong anyway. I am hoping to get an early scan at 7ish weeks, only three of the slowest weeks in the world left to wait! 😬

I've read the same about the hormones and sickness. Apparently a girl can cause you to have higher levels of hcg which causes more symptoms! I had the most awful non stop nausea with ds but could manage it by constantly grazing on biscuits and mints! Was never actually sick though! Will be interesting to see what goes on this time. I had some strong symptoms very early on but the last couple of days haven't been so bad! Obviously the worrier in me then panics that im not feeling it! Urgh can never just relax into it can you!

LittleMrsMama · 22/03/2022 09:52

@BabyBird20 that's great you've shared your exciting news with some close friends and family, it definitely makes these first few weeks easier to have some support, and potentially help with childcare! It's so hard to be pregnant with a toddler! I'm debating whether to tell some close friends. I'm just in a weird place where i'm worried it will all go wrong and I'm not sure I can face 'congratulations' but I know that sounds a bit odd!

Not long for the early scans! With DD I got a scan dead on 6 weeks as couldn't wait any longer, I think you're sensible waiting until 7 weeks though as it would make me even more anxious to see nothing if it's too early! I wish we could get scans this early but I read the baby is the size of a tiny sprinkle!

I forgot about how good mints were for sickness! I think I'll buy myself a little morning sickness hamper. Sour sweets were amazing last time too! I would love another girl, partly so I can reuse all of DD's old clothes!

Hi! I've just started a thread on the pregnancy board oops 🤦🏻‍♀️

I've just had my BFP and based on ovulation I should be due 2nd December but 28th November if we're going by LMP.

I have a 3 year old at home and unfortunately my last 2 pregnancies didn't end well so I've got everything crossed for this one!

LittleMrsMama · 22/03/2022 15:35

Welcome @scoutcat ! Really hope this pregnancy works out for you!

There are three of us here already, all with toddlers and two of us have had pregnancy losses so you're in good company if you'd like to talk. We may understand a little about what you're going through.

I've been feeling a little anxious after a miscarriage in January but feel very fortunate to have conceived quickly after. It doesn't feel like a celebration as pregnancy has done previously but I'm hoping that will change as time goes on. I've got a book arriving today 'pregnancy after loss' and will let you know if it's any good!

BabyBird20 · 22/03/2022 16:14

Welcome @scoutcat , will keep everything crossed for you this is your sticky bean! I'm due around 28/29th nov but suspect it'll be a week earlier due to having an elective c this time!

@LittleMrsMama I totally get the anxiety, it's such an awfully stressful time to wait and find out if all is ok isn't it. I've just had my appointment for my first midwife meeting which will be 20th April, sounds so far away! But will hopefully have had a reassurance scan the week before so fingers crossed will be a nice positive meeting! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Love the idea of a morning sickness hamper! Just sent dh a wish list for when he goes to lidl! Weirdly fancying pom bears and cheddars!! 😬 not too good for my healthy eating plan!

scoutcat · 24/03/2022 07:13

Thank you so much for the welcome! How is everyone feeling?

I tested again this morning to see if the line got any darker and I think I was expecting it to be much darker. It isn't and I've freaked myself out now!

Top is two days ago in the pm and bottom is today FMU - does this look right?

Due end November/early December
BabyBird20 · 24/03/2022 08:33

Morning @scoutcat , I think the bottom line is a good bit darker isn't it? How many dpo are you ? And when is/was af due? Is it worth getting some of the cheapies like one step from Amazon? I've been using them to test every day to follow line progression!

IshaCoco · 24/03/2022 11:29

Hi all :)

I got my BFP this morning and I'm in absolute shock. Period due around today and this was only our first month of trying! I'm tentatively joining because I'm so early and I'm not young - 40 🙈

This will be 3rd for me, 1st for DP. I have two girls, 20 and 15.

It's going to take me a while to get my head around this.....!

Oh, and I've namechanged but been around ages.

Due end November/early December
Amipreg1 · 24/03/2022 14:36

Hi everyone.

I think I got my bfp this morning. I'm 11dpo so still very early days.

It's been a while since I've done this, my first is nearly 7!

Hi! I got mine today too! Exciting....but scary. When was your period due?

Amipreg1 · 24/03/2022 16:03

I would have been expecting it on Sunday so I'll do another test then if af stays away!

BabyBird20 · 24/03/2022 17:08

Welcome to the group @IshaCoco and @Amipreg1 and congrats on the bfps! Fingers crossed for sticky beans for us all!

Sunsh1ne87 · 24/03/2022 20:26

Got my first positive last night! Think we conceived on 9th March but ovulation was later than expected from having Covid a week before so I don’t really know! I have a 21 month old little boy already so looking forward to having a more normal pregnancy and birth without lockdown this time x

Due end November/early December
LittleMrsMama · 25/03/2022 05:40

Welcome @Sunsh1ne87 @Amipreg1 and i@IshaCoco - it was so lovely to check on the thread this morning and see your BFPs!!!

So far we all have kids already, some toddlers and some with older kids. It's nice to chat to people also going through pregnancy for the second + time! It does feel very different to the first!

@scoutcat it's really hard to compare morning and evening urine, oddly my FMU lines aren't as strong as they are a few hours later and the evenings are much stronger. Could you take another test today and compare? Please don't worry though, that is a very clear BFP and you are pregnant, it's just still quite early!

@BabyBird20 I hope you got a few nice bits from Lidl! My self made 'hamper' is more a collection of sour sweets, lemon and ginger tea, anti sickness bands etc. I've been feeling so nauseous and have already thrown up and meant to be 4 1/2 weeks

OP posts:
Galaxyrippleforever · 25/03/2022 06:10

Hi everyone! I got my bfp on Sunday but my period isn't actually due until today. So I'm due 2nd Dec, although I'm hoping for an elective section this time (I think!) and I think that means you have them slightly earlier.
Congratulations everyone Smile
