A few of us fancy doing a few squares for this, so here's a thread!

As blankets need to be 4x6 squares (24 total), the idea is that we arrange ourselves into small groups by geography and do a few each, then meet to put them together and eat cake

I'll link the previous Location thread shortly so folk can add themselves and get organising thanks

I have no idea if I'm waiting for any more squares.

I'm not actually waiting so don't worry if you've not sent them. I am currently ignoring the pile on top of my bookshelf whilst doing Hug squares.

The cream ones are mine, sorry - I'm so rarely involved in sending that i forgot to identify myself!

I haven't sent mine yet. But it's half term this week so I shall be able to get to the Post Office tomorrow smile

ZombieArmsDragOnTheFloor Sun 28-Oct-12 15:21:49

No rush, somersaults smile

I had a feeling there was one set I was waiting for.
Apart from my own, of course.
Which I haven't started.

Hello, I'm working on a small baby ripple about 20" square that the children are keen to send to a refuge. Can I do that through this thread? Would also be delighted to do some granny squares if you need more and I have lots of stylecraft special dk in various colours. Let me know if you need more and if I should send the ripple to you (hoping to finish it over half term) x x

Have a look at the link at the start of the thread, it should have an address. At least I hope it does!

I have a packet of lovely squares from Somersaults smile conveniently the children are away with their father so I got to scoff the chocolate buttons myself smile thanks

Are those all the squares I was expecting now?

Somersaults Tue 30-Oct-12 18:10:29

Glad they arrived safely smile

And that you got to enjoy the chocolate in peace!

Theodora, if your ripple doesn't match the Refuge requirements, how about a child in hospital?

ZombieArmsDragOnTheFloor Tue 30-Oct-12 19:50:24

That would be great if I could remember who sent what grin

PurplePidjInAPointyHat Tue 30-Oct-12 20:12:41

You should have 4 from each person, 28 in total. If you don't then someone forgot and we need to go through the thread to work it out!

ZombieArmsDragOnTheFloor Tue 30-Oct-12 22:10:00

I think the only person who hasn't done them is me grin

PurplePidjInAPointyHat Wed 31-Oct-12 08:20:56

Hurrah grin

SoupDragon Tue 20-Nov-12 07:37:33

I have started to put this together now smile

And today I will be undoing it as I've put it together wrong grin [dunce]

I've only ever put together one blanket made of squares and that was summer 2011!

PurplePidjin Mon 26-Nov-12 04:58:24

Yay Soupy thanks

SoupDragon Mon 26-Nov-12 11:12:22

It's all bumpy!

PurplePidjin Mon 26-Nov-12 13:04:58

In what way? You Should be able to put 2 squares wrong sides together and dc in each st along...

SoupDragon Mon 26-Nov-12 13:17:02

here

It's all stitched together (slip stitch on the reverse). It pulls out flat but i suspect it needs blocking.

SoupDragon Mon 26-Nov-12 13:18:27

The border may help - I've only just started that though.

And this is only the first one! I need to see what's missing from the second one once this is done.

SoupDragon Mon 26-Nov-12 13:28:04

How are you anyway? smile

PurplePidjin Mon 26-Nov-12 18:46:27

Is your tension a bit tight? I found dc the only way to even things up tbh, and it frames each square nicely.

I'm fab, PidjChick is awesome and dp is the mutts nuts at supportive daddyhood smile

SoupDragon Mon 26-Nov-12 18:58:49

smile My PFB is now a stinky teenage boy. [sigh] he used to have squidgable thighs and chubby cheeks. He went let me squidge his thighs now and he has cheekbones grin

Blanketwise, I don't like the DC frame though smile I don't think it's the tension as such... Anyway, I'm not undoing the bloody thing!grin
