Yabu.

Hand over 18% of your salary for no reason other than because, only then we can talk about why yabu.

AVirginLitTheCandle · 18/12/2016 01:02

Lolling at things is very unmumsnetty so YABVU for that alone.

Hannah4banana · 18/12/2016 01:04

Maybe it's because I've never experienced it but it does seem a bit ott. Someone called me a girl and not a woman and I'm angry. Seriously! So much more in the world to be offended about.

So much more in the world to be offended about.

Ironic.

CherryChasingDotMuncher · 18/12/2016 01:07

Yeah, wanting the oppression of women to stop is just hilare!

Hold the front page - random woman reckons she never experienced sexism. Therefore it doesn't exist. Spread the word huns. Lol

Thank God you have enlightened us! Just think how much more time we'll have to clean the kitchen floor and make sandwiches.

There's bit more to feminism than being called a woman!

AmberEars · 18/12/2016 01:11

*a bit

Sheld0n · 18/12/2016 01:11

Hannah4banana · 18/12/2016 01:12

NoMoreParades · 18/12/2016 01:15

Oh well yes you're right of course, being a fully grown independent woman I really don't mind being called a girl. It's not condescending or anything............

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 18/12/2016 01:15

Yabu. And I say this as someone who's been frogmarched off the feminism board several times. They are pushing the boundaries and going to extremes to get results.

AVirginLitTheCandle · 18/12/2016 01:16

I can 100% say I am NOT a feminist

You're not? Well all I can say to that is hallelujah! We were all getting a bit worried for a second there! At least now we can all breathe a sigh of relief!

GiddyOnZackHunt · 18/12/2016 01:18

There are many minor acts that make people say "Tchh those strident feminists" but the acceptability of them builds up into the continued acceptance of "Wimmin know your place"

NoMoreParades · 18/12/2016 01:19

When you say 'pushing the boundaries', do you actually mean striving for equality? You seem to be confused

Hannah4banana · 18/12/2016 01:19

Yeah definitely going to extremes. I'm sorry if I come across as rude but some of the topics did make me lol and that's the truth. I can live with being unreasonable. Makes the world go round.

stitchglitched · 18/12/2016 01:19

Just glancing at the first page on the feminist board. Threads on domestic violence, rape trials, the counting dead women project. Why are these funny?

Sheld0n · 18/12/2016 01:20

I think it's okay to not identity as a feminist as it's possible to share the same goals/opinions but not label oneself in the same way.
