Sons of Anarchy Series 6 episode 1 - Straw

Well everyone, the new series aired on FX on Weds night and I managed to, ahem, stream it this afternoon on internet, tried putlocker, but ended up via another route. Why should we have to wait til the new year -!?!?

Anyway, if any of you do get the chance to watch, do. It is, as usual, crushing violent in places and has a particularly shocking climax - there are reviews and spoilers all over the internet so be careful what you read.

We do, (yes, this is a spoiler, but in a good way!) get to see, er, a lot more of Jax in this episode, giving us some indication of what to expect in ' 50 shades of grey' - why is there so much criticism of him, have any of the critics actually seen him? Blush

No - we don't get FX either, that is the US TV channel - but! - there is a way of streaming it on the internet to watch on your computer, just google Sons of Anarchy Series 6 Episode 1 and a range of providers will come up, several of which you don't have to pay for or subscribe to.

EnjoyGrin!

Ooh ok, I was talking about shades of the other day, I have never read the books and have no interest in the film but my friends were saying that they couldn't see Charlie in the role

Are they insane! It's only cos the only photos they have seen of him are as Jax

I watched this too - and the anarchy afterword programme they did straight, er, afterwards

The ending was shocking, but not gratuitously violent I didn't think. You didn't see anything as such, so it's not like Sutter was going for an all out shockfest.

I wonder if there's going to be lots of Hunnam arse this season :o

OMG last night's episode! I don't want Tig to get killed! Shock

Love love LOVE SOA, I think it's my favourite series ever. And all the sexy older men...

How can I watch the Anarchy Afterword show, I've Googled without any luck? The FX site is not available outside the US and the YouTube links are just adverts for the show. Angry

Thanks for the heads up on the link about the show. I have so far been able to watch the first 3 episodes on line the day after it has aired on FX on Wednesday night, usually available on HD streaming by evening the next day..... it has started very dark, and lots of deep scheming by the psycho ATF agent - no spoilers for those who haven't seen it..

Like youRiffy can't believe that Tig has been handed over, knowing the writer there may be another plotline up his sleeve, but this was a piece of business Jax had to commit too after the death of Damon Pope :)(

Hi all you SoA fans....... watched Series 6 Episode 4 on the internet last night - desperate for all of you who have seen it to discuss but don't want to give away any spoilersWink - all I will say is that you may need your kleenex, I was really upset at the end of it! I cannot believe it won't be (legally) aired here until January, reviews are all over the internet and I cannot keep my mouth zipped until next year!

Dying to know if any of you have watched itGrin

I watched it guineapiglet! It was a good 'un. And a lingering shot of a topless Jax never goes amiss!

Won't say too much, but you could tell that one of the characters left the show prematurely due to a clash of filming commitments - I was surprised the person 'left' as I thought they would stay in for a finale showdown!

Talking of SoA, I gave DH this cd for his birthday today - it's great, and really reminds you of the particular scenes in the show that the tracks accompanied; and Katey Sagal has a surprisingly good voice. My girl crush on her is complete.

Hi Riffy glad you managed to watch it too. Yes, I've got both the SoA CDs, there is an amazing version of Gimme Shelter by Paul Bradywhich I play all the timewhich is awesome.

I was very surprised about the person you mention leaving as well, in fact him and t'others - what are they trying to do here, will there be anyone left? Or is that the point! I will never forget the 'hands' shot as long as I live!

I think KS is a very talented actress, but, having watched the series, ahem, again ( for the third timeBlush) I realise I don't like her character at all, she has gone from sympathetic to witch in the first five series.

I actually think I am obsessed with Charlie Hunnam, did all my ironing in front of a

Haha guineapiglet I think I may have met my match in you as far as SoA obsession goes! Smile Although DH does wear a SAMCRO t shirt I bought him, I encourage him to have a beard, and I am obsessed with Gemma's hair and cut my fringe myself to look like hers. Blush

I am going to look up Pacific Rim. I was disappointed when he got the part in 50 Shades as I wanted to keep him just for us SoA fans. I can't cope with everyone jumping on the Hunnam bandwagon!

Grin
'he's ours!'
but we like him in leathers on a Harley.....

To be honest PacificRim was waaaay too long but the effects were fab( bit like Transformers). Charllie was so gorgeous.

Watched him on a talk show and he has really been
Hollywoodised, immaculate hair and teeth and clad in a suit. Still preferhim rough and ready.

Oh my! Just watching this week's Peaky Blinders and the lovely Chibs is in it! I've only recently discovered his scars are real - a genuine Glasgow smile. I'm sure he owes his career to them, partly anyway.

This week's SoA was a good 'un too. Shock

Report
guineapiglet · 11/10/2013 19:21

Ooh I have been meaning to record that, it sounded very good, but on a Thursday when there are other watchable things - typical. I love Chibs, he is a great character.
Well Season 6 of SoA goes from strength to strength but it is pretty relentless stuff, I needed to catch my breath last night after the HQ incident and the scene with Clay and Gemma in prison -shocking but totally complusive viewing, it gets better and better but am concerned that if it carries on at this pace there won't be anyone left....

Do you recommend SoA for those suffering from Breaking Bad withdrawal?

Most definitely Cooroo. We discovered SoA when we were feeling lost during the long break in the last series of BB, and we ended up loving Sons even more than we do BB!

As an aside, so to speak, I see Charlie has now 'pulled out' of 50 shades, phew - I think he could probably see he was damned if he did and damned if he didn't. I had no interest in seeing the film other than to see him, in ahem, action, so don't care about whether it is successful or not. Cannot believe how much heat and light his casting caused, but think it is the right career move for him, otherwise he would be typecase forever ( and we can go back to enjoying him in SoA)

On tonight by the way, watch on catch up :)

'Pulled out'. Fnarrr.

I was very happy to hear he'd changed his mind about being in what will no doubt be an awful film based on a terrible book!

I watched it last night guineapiglet - twas good, and it had a funny bit in it too - I love it when SoA does funny.
