Not sure what is brave about it.
Hundreds of thousands of people manage to go about their daily lives without wearing make up at all. So any photo they post contains skin without makeup, as does every encounter throughout every day.

Nothing brave about not wearing make-up. I've never worn it.

Sure. I wear makeup every day but this is with no foundation/base etc, just a tiny bit of eye makeup

What's brave about no make up? Most men seem to manage it just fine every day as do lots of women.

To some people, not wearing their make up is brave, some people need the security blanket that is make up! Some people have skin problems and scars. Maybe the OP is one of them? I'm happiest wearing makeup as I feel more like 'me' and more confident but I'm happy to not wear any too. If I'm going out of an evening or meeting my friends I will wear makeup. I enjoy wearing makeup.

Oh for goodness sake please let's not turn this into a debate about whether or not it's brave! If you don't wear make up and it's "normal" for you to have a bare face then good for you, just don't bother replying to this thread or just post a bloody pic.

Thanks hollin Smile

Why not post yours first then? Unless you're a lazy DM journo. I'm keeping my skin to myself, thanks.

Well I'd have to be feeling incredibly brave not to wear make up. I wear it every day and look ill without it (I am ill)!

I wear makeup to work or if I am going out, but am just as happy to leave the house without it. I never wear eye make up as it just makes them look old and wrinkly. Fortunately I have dark eyes and eyebrows and fairly decent eye lashes.

Hollin that looks like quite a lot of eye make up to me.

Well OP, it's all v well for you to say brave is irrelevant/semantics; you've made me wonder what people I encounter every day think of me, as I don't wear make up.

Cheers for being so dismissive.

If you read my original post I made it very clear I was not one of the brave ones hence why I haven't posted a pic.
Also if you read the title properly I did put /confident as I'm aware it's not necessarily brave as much as a confidence thing.
Will all of the haters please just take a chill pill and if this thread is not your thing or you think it's pointless/silly/ignorant etc etc etc then please just save your time and energy and don't bother replying! Bloody hell some people are just so serious, this is meant to be a lighthearted thread for those of us who know what I mean!

I wear make up everyday as my skin looks sallow and uneven without it and I look pale and ill. I know what you mean op.

I think it just depends on what your "normal" is in terms of how you feel without makeup. I wear very little "face" makeup, and not much eye makeup, but always, always wear red lipstick. My friend never wears lipstick, but wears very smoky eye makeup. When both of us are bare-faced, we look weird to one another. Similarly, I have a colleague who wears no makeup at all, and has said to me a number of times that she would never be "brave" enough to wear red lipstick.

BumWad - it's one colour eyeshadow, little bit of liner and mascara, nothing on my brows
To ME that's a tiny bit which I why I describe it like that, it's a lot less than I usually wear

This is my standard eye makeup so that's why I said the other is a tiny bit

Not sure what people are taking offence to here. OP asked if anyone was willing to post a pic of their bare face. Nothing weird/dismissive/controversial about looking for an honest visual of what real skin looks like. You often can't tell what makeup people are wearing (or not) in real life or online/in print, esp as pics are more often than not digitally enhanced selected to show people in their best possible light.

I don't want to post a photo online but I frequently don't wear make up. If I did, I would feel like I always had to and people would be surprised to see me without so I want them to get into the habit of seeing me barefaced iyswim!

I'm only not posting as I also don't want a photo online, if I could do the blury thing and remove my eyes etc I would. I think my skin is pretty good really. I'm not unhappy with it.
