Continuing. From here some of us may have jetted off to far flung foreign parts, but we're still friendly, fabulous even in the heat wave and full of frivolous fashion talk. Come and join us Smile

ooh well done! I did 30 mins on cross trainer this morning. It was boiling! oh i was not attractive at all. We are going to find another room in the house for our gym that isn't like a fridge in winter and an oven in summerHmm

maradesbois · 26/07/2014 11:07

Nice one dry.

Well done novice. I am on day 3 of 30 day shred and really don't think can do it today, not from heat just such sore muscles and not wanting to do damage. With that and going into week 3 of 5:2 feel great though.

Getting set up for BBQ, dh home for weekend yay.

Asos WIT espadrilles arrived. Love them! Still debating dvf sale mini bags for dsis birthday and self, would like something small & cross body but can't justify trio and this is only £60. Don't like buying too much stuff though and feel like have been doing recently.

shop happy holidays! Am sure your ds will love going on the plane and whole airport experience. It's much easier travelling with them at this age than babies imo. Magazine with 'free' toy defo good idea.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 26/07/2014 11:49

Have a lovely holiday Shop - hope the trip goes smoothly.

Mara I bought the leather metallic espadrilles from Asos - arrived yesterday and I love them. I got the silver but it's not a glaring type of silver, more burnished and slightly pinky, which is exactly what I wanted.

Countdown has begun to USA 2014! We leave in 9 days and I truly can not wait. My suitcase is packed (mania from now until departure, so I thought I'd get ahead). I feel very organised, so something is bound to go wrong.

Loving this hot weather, but not loving the thunder bugs that I think are crawling all over me. Urgh.

DH working all weekend (boo) so I'm busily trying to catch up with chores and have just been outside washing down hot horses who didn't appreciate the impromptu baths as much as they ought to have done. I love the idea of bbqs and lazy days in the sun, but my reality is so different. I love coming on here and living vicariously through y'all.

MarshaBrady · 26/07/2014 11:58

Aloha, thanks Dry

This weather!

Fedupnagging · 26/07/2014 14:17

Grumpy you are so organised. We go to the US tomorrow and not started packing yet!

Actually, we have had a busy couple of days with one thing and another and I am now starting to feel very stressed but won't bore you all with the finer details!

I was supposed to be ordering a me&em ruched maxi dress on Thursday but realised it wouldn't arrive before tomorrow, didn't want to pay £9.99 next day postage and then we wouldn't arrive home in time to return it in the 14 days if it didn't suit. Grrr.

I am however wearing the parrot skirt which is lovely.

Hope you are all enjoying your Saturday.

shopafrolic · 26/07/2014 15:04

Marking place - in packing chaos. Thanks for all the fab tips - inspired ideas xx

Drywhiteplease · 26/07/2014 17:26

Mara I've just seen wild strawberries growing! got very excited and raced up to the gardener "are these Mara des bois?" ....no, boring old alpine strawberries.Sad

À bientôt mes amies!
See you on the other side.
Out for dinner tonight with DH to start the holiday early and then off to the airport at half seven. May dip in during the week - we'll see.
Stay fabulous - MWAH!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 26/07/2014 18:13

Have a fab time shop!

Thanks for new thread Dry

mara sooo impressed you're doing 5:2 and Shred at the same time! I have done both separately and couldn't imagine shredding on a fast day. Too unfit!

We've been out to view 2 more venues today. The first one was a bit shabby. We then had to switch from my car to DP's as it was too hot for roof down. Hmm Then the second venue was AMAZING. Just loved it. So after viewing 4, we have 2 we like and 2 we didn't, I don't expect we will view any more so will be making a decision soon - exciting!

Drywhiteplease · 26/07/2014 18:14

Shop you forgot to tell us what you're wearing!!
I'm off out for dinner too, at friends' house in a beautiful countryside setting. One of the friends who will be there always gives me a very unsubtle up and down must be jealousWink will let you know if she does it tonight.
Will be wearing my favourite sleeveless LBD with exposed gold zip Sorry QueenC and heels. It was from DP two autumns ago, but believe me,it doesn't look cheap in Never wash it though, only dry clean and just fits me really well. I always get compliments and the dress and necklace must have cost no more than £50! Funny how it's like that sometimes.

Have a lovely evening Dry. You need to up and down your friend right back, lingering on something, shoes for example.

Has something happened to the pin board? Seems to have disappeared from my feed (or am I missing something?)

shopafrolic · 26/07/2014 18:36

Me&em maxi and Sam Edelman Gables Dry - easy dressing tonight

Am slightly calmer now so can focus on someone else other than me!

Mara am well impressed with your health and fitness regime. It brilliant that you feel so great.

Shop enjoy your meal tonight, hope the flight goes well and have a fab holiday.

Dry enjoy your evening out - lbd with exposed zip sounds lovely. Thanks for new thread too.

Blair it's soooo exciting hearing your wedding plans.

OneLittleLady · 26/07/2014 20:25

Have a fab holiday Shop

Hope your evening is nice Dry

libertychick · 26/07/2014 22:01

Thanks for setting up new thread Dry - nicely done!! Hope you are having a good evening.

Exciting news on wedding plans Blair - once you start booking things it will all get very real Smile

Lovely idea to go out for dinner the night before holidays Shop. Have a fantastic time - you will be fabulously dressed based on all the pre holiday shopping.

Grumpy the pin board was deleted - will pm you next week.

Mara shred and 5:2 is tough especially in this weather - well done on sticking with it.

BTW is Linus on hols? I can't keep up with everyone Smile

I am not going to complain about day time weather as it's so good to be having a nice summer but I do wish it would cool down a bit more at night....

And where is Justa???

libertychick · 26/07/2014 22:19

And a fashion question....

What do we all think of ballet flats ATM? All the fashion mags seem to be saying they have had their day and are now considered dated. These Clarks ones are my most useful pair of shoes but they are reaching the end of their days (sob) and I had planned to replace them with something like these Russell and Bromley ones but now wondering if I'll just feel like I have spent a lot of money on something a bit frumpy??? Opinions very welcome.

QueenCardigan · 26/07/2014 22:36

lib neta poter still has lots of ballet flats and I personally refuse to believe that they are on their way out. I'd like some Mary Jane style ones.

grumpy I've pm'd you

shop have fab hols

Drywhiteplease · 27/07/2014 01:34

Hmmm Liberty I have the R and B Charming in nude from last year. Wore them loads last year, a little this year, feel I want pointed toe more now and that round toed ballet flats look a bit dated. But....I think ballet flats are a classic and will always be in. If I were going to invest (as I did) I'd get a classic.
Does that make sense...I've had an awful lot of champagne.

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 27/07/2014 07:36

Happy holidays Shop!

Liberty the pointed Ganni ones haven't turned up yet , so not sure yet if they are me, but I still like a ballet flat. Although can't do dainty ones, but then I couldn't do those at the height of trend.

So to sum up - I say go for it.

I prefer pointy ones too at the moment or even loafers.

Have lovely holidays Shop and Fed up

Very exciting about your venues Blair

Fedupnagging · 27/07/2014 09:31

Will be a bit sad if ballet flats go out of fashion - they go with just about everything. Pointy flats look great but not that comfortable for those of us with wide feet.

We are leaving for our holiday in a while - am very excited but can't decide if am more excited to be seeing all the sights or the shopping I intend to do .

No doubt I will keep popping back in quiet moments.

QueenCardigan · 27/07/2014 09:33

Who could wear this without looking like they're wearing a tent?
