Browsing mumsnet using the chrome browser on an android phone.

Opened a thread "www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/2729635-Im-being-watched-WATCHED" on an "open in new tab" but the new tab opened with a spam advert page of the kind that tries to make you not navigate away. I presume this is an unintended hijack of some kind.

I copied the content of the navigation field in case it is of use to you but it seems to be gibberish.

This seems to happen quite regularly - what kind of info will help you to stop it?

I got the same thing. I was turning to a new page of the dodgy no-birthday-present thread at the time.

I've also had it today - same as above, except mine said "sky broadband user".

This has appeared twice in a few minutes. It's an OTBT thread, so I can't give details, but it's one I check in regularly.
Using HTC and Chrome.

Yes- I've just had this on a names thread same thing offering I've won a iPad or some crap.
Android phone, chrome browser.

Also- it's sniffing your router which is why it says sky or whatever.

I've just had a sky broadband one but couldn't any details as it made my phone unresponsive.

I got one as well. IPhone 7. Is this issue EVER going to get sorted out???

I had a tiscali one. Does tiscali even exist any more? It was bloody hard to get off the page. Anyone know if these are harmful? Am on android using my allegedly safe browser provided by talk talk antivirus!

Am not at all tech savvy so can I ask if I am okay to still use my banking apps or it this stuff compromising my phone? Last time this shit happened I de regged and did a factory reset on my phone which was a total pita ( that was for the porn pop ups and I was taking no chances). Tbh I really don't want to do that again.

You're still OK to use banking apps. This is just annoying.
