Mobile site strife? Come and post here

Hullo everyone,

There are several threads about the mobile site being a bit wonky (technical term that), so we thought we'd start a thread to keep everyone's comments in one place, so we can see what's what.

It seems from the other threads, a few people were having problems with Galaxy S4 - is anyone else?

Please do post saying what you're using (eg iphone 5, safari, ios 7), and we'll try and make things run a bit more smoothly.

Hi, it's still running slowly for me.

Kindle fire.

Mobile site not loading on internet explorer. On a samsung s4 mini.

Late last night / early hours of the morning - wtf happened? It just took ages to load the page, when it would load at all. I couldn't sleep, but gave up on MN in the end and watched iPlayer.

Things seem better now for me (kindle fire) but clearly not for others.

Seems to be working again.

On safari on iPhone.

Bookmarks don't work if I've posted on the thread. If I haven't posted they seem to work fine, but if I have it takes me to a couple of posts before then end and I have to scroll up to find the bookmark sign.

HTC one m7, I'm getting redirected to a "you have won an iPhone" page instead of whatever tasty thread I was after. Took me six tries to get here! Am on chrome.

Have switched back to mobile site for up to date complaint. I'm on an iphone 6.

For the past few days the Active, TIO, and Watching buttons have disappeared from the mobile and the desktop. Makes mobile (my default) impossible to use fully. On desktop I can access TIO from the smaller headings at top and foot of pages. But it's a nuisance. And has happened just as I'd begun to enjoy the smooth running of the mobile site.

Well that sounds rather annoying!

Is it still happening today? We haven't had any other reports about it, but we'll get our Tech team on the case if so.

Hate the adverts at the top of the page (flash/move too much and they are making me nauseous).

When I try to click the navigation bit to either go to the Talk menu or the arrow to watch the thread it clicks the bloomin' advert, even though my finger is nowhere near the advert.

Frustrating is an understatement. I didn't like the changes to the mobile site but thought ads interspersed through the threads was a great compromise. The ads at the top, esp when the navigation doesn't work.

Samsung S3 mini

The drop down menus are slow to respond and annoying. I've not been on line on my phone much the last couple of days, so not come across many glitches recently, but the menus have been an ongoing nuisance since you changed everything.

Slow and clunky on my Kindle fire and if you click on a thread on TIO it opens the thread above.

Yes the menu buttons are very slow to respond,thats if they work at all.

Galaxy S2 here. Can't open threads in Watching. Only load after 10 or more touches.

Keep saying safari cannot load this page servers down (somthing along those lines, can't remember exactly) it's happened every other post I've gone on today. I wait about ten minutes and then it's back to normal (for a bit).

It keeps reloading with a message that an error caused the page to reload

Sometimes the little icons that float at the bottom and bookmarks too are replaced with thinks like martini glasses, kissy lips etc (is this just me?!)

I liked the adverts that were embedded in the thread that you could scroll past, not floating constantly at the top. Why did that change, did other people hate it?

It just happened again just after posting that. The exact message is 'safari cannot open the page because the server cannot be found'

Me too, very slow on my S4 and even slower on my tablet.

IPhone 4s and iPad ios 8
I keep getting the servers down message.
And the ads are really irritating- and a bit spammy, I clearly don't have a new message!

Floating banner ads again - why??? They're annoying & intrusive & take up even more of a small screen.

Also I just previewed the image on a previous version of this post & couldn't get back to it to post it so had to start again.

Why are we getting American ads?

The screen keeps flickering when I view the side on my Kindle Fire. It only happens on the MN site though, all the other websites are fine.

The mobile site keeps logging me out. I have the keep me logged in box checked and it's never done this before. I'm using an iPhone 5 and safari.
