Could we not have one each. Like a waiver.
Please.
Fuck off please?
More of a request?
A polite request at that.

Or even "one would appreciate you fucking the fuck off"? Let's not be too polite.
I will finally agree it's changed.
But that's the nature of online forums. They aren't static. If they were, they would die.
When it's changed too much, I'll move on. Not any time soon, though.

yes, it has changed.
it seems to have become a lot more moderated than it used to be.
there are some sensitive souls on here.
why can't MNHQ send the "yes, dear, sometimes adults swear and that's just what you'll have to accept" email in reply to "miss! miss! she's picking on me! Miss! she called me a cunt!" reports like they used to?
That is a very good question, nickel.

In the wise words of Axel Rose, "nothing last for ever, even No-November rain"
MN is a constantly evolving ever changing beast, but that makes it exciting don't you think?
Fwiw, if people complain about bad language in general we send a "yes we allow swearing on Mumsnet" type mail.
We know perhaps some of you could deal with being called a cunt, or being told to fuck off. But at the risk of sounding like a total wuss, it just isn't nice.
Imagine you were having a conversation about an issue that was causing you a lot of upset. Then someone strides over and says "I heard what you said, and I think you're being a cunt".
We are playing devils avocado here, as obviously Mumsnet is as open forum, but we like to maintain a facade of decorum.
With a quick nod to KateS
I once had that very email - I had emailed in all full of ire about a deletion that I thought was unwarranted and questioned if we were being deleted for swearing now.
Hq's reply ran along the lines of "Of course we don't delete simply for swearing, that would be fucking silly"

I was impressed.

[arf] at devil's avocado. I shall add that to casting nasturtiums in my "terms to use as often as possible" list.
