Marking place. Please let it end soon so I can go back to listening properly!

EBearhug · 31/03/2016 10:01

I'm almost having to give up working to keep up with these threads...

MuddhaOfSuburbia · 31/03/2016 10:01

Shock
plimsolls · 31/03/2016 10:12

Marking place! Like PPs, I am suspicious of Perfect Dorothy....

DadDadDad · 31/03/2016 10:14

EBear - I know what you mean. Last year for comparison, we had one thread that started in May and lasted until July. This thread is the fifth to be started this month. Shock

Lancelottie · 31/03/2016 10:16

Blush Thanks, Pseudo!

An Archers thread title... my life is complete.

redshoeblueshoe · 31/03/2016 10:22

cheminotte · 31/03/2016 10:31

Thanks for the new thread Pseudo .
I'm back to work tomorrow after a few day off, so can you slow down a bit please as I'm struggling to keep up! Am also behind with listening as I'm now choosing to listen while doing something else so it's more in the background as that makes it slightly more bearable when it's a Helen and Rob scene.

Putthetulipsthere · 31/03/2016 10:41

Thanks for new thread Pseudo💐💐💐💐

And thanks too to Dad for smily campaign!

R4 · 31/03/2016 10:44

I forgot to say the other day. Wasn't Anneka excellent? So many slebs that are parachuted in to TA don't have radio voices and are not "good at being in Ambridge" (that was the phrase for David/ Tim B, wasn't it?).
Anneka was very natural and sounded like a Real Person, not a rabbit-in-the-headlights reading a script.

Putthetulipsthere · 31/03/2016 10:47

Very good title Lancelottie😀

trevortrevorslatterfry · 31/03/2016 10:47

Thanks for the new thread pseudo and for the title lance and for the emoticon suggestion DDD

Also Grin to Fink re "towel racist" (I didn't catch up to the last thread until it was full!)

Helenluvsrob · 31/03/2016 10:51

Dan and Dorothy are in for the long run.
It's a Dan and Doris reprise, as someone pointed out earlier.
SWs are setting up for the next few decades at the very least.

Shallishanti · 31/03/2016 11:06

just to go back to the towel issue- Shula has induced social anxiety in me- do guests really require TWO towels? 'a small one in case she wants to wash her hair in the morning'????- I never use a separate towel to dry my hair....
and when DS1 brought his new gf here at Easter I thought I was doing very well to offer them a clean towel each Grin
have I ruined things??

AnnieNoMouse · 31/03/2016 11:07

Minimouth - Wasn't Dan slurping over someone at his 'coming out party' wink was that Dorothy?
I thought so too, both that he had told Shula she was the girl of his dreams and that her name was Dorothy.
I'm hoping the Plarchers will have her in red shoes.

Back to BS SL - when Ursula mentioned it to Rob for the first time I thought he sounded surprised and not receptive to the idea - something about it hadn't been great for him, which Ursula countered with the fact that it was better for him than being at home at that time. I was surprised when he actually went along with the idea.

AnnieNoMouse · 31/03/2016 11:09

Shalli I always do the 2 towel thing but other than that I fall woefully short of Shula's high standards

BoreOfWhabylon · 31/03/2016 11:15

Thanks pseudo and Lancelottie Flowers

And yy to two towels

Shallishanti · 31/03/2016 11:19

Blush how can I make amends??

Shallishanti · 31/03/2016 11:27

and re the BS plot, I just read the article Olivia linked to, it would be far more persuasive if they said something like 'we have a clear code of conduct for our members that ensures all people with PR for a child are happy with the placement, if anyone has information about our members not adhering to this code we would be very happy to investigate'
But they didn't.

Fink · 31/03/2016 11:29

Around these parts it's a bath towel, a hand towel, and a new flannel. All matching, of course. I only ever use the bath towel.

The worst was my ex-MIL who, mysteriously, expects you to use the towels laid out in the bathroom and then hang them back up, completely dry. She is in all other respects Hyacinth Bucket in the flesh. Not even yellow

VinceNoirLovesHowardMoon · 31/03/2016 11:31

Cake place marking

PrincessFiorimonde · 31/03/2016 11:34

Gosh, I've only just started reading the last thread, and here is a new one already!

Great title.

My only contribution was going to be pointing out the Dan and Dorothy/Dan and Doris parallel, but I see I'm far too late. Should have known! Grin

enochroot · 31/03/2016 11:46

I think Dorothy popped up at the passing out parade so I had assumed she was a soldier too.
