Hola!
Ali has become very hungry all of a sudden, the last 2 nights we've been up at 1, 3, 5, and 6am. And then at 7 again.
Today we have swimming, and then I'll be gardening again in the sun probably. But for now, coffee.

Checking in.

We also seem more hungry. Feeding 2 hourly most of the day, managed to sleep 1 till 4 then 5 til 7.30. I was clearly getting too used to my 6hour stretch from midnight to 6.

Off to put some more washing in - must make the most of the sunshine!

Rashkakeller · 29/03/2012 08:55

Checking in - morning!

Ds, after sleeping through for a while, I was treated to 2 wake ups last night, joy. I have no right to complain as doing ok on the sleep front compared to a lot of you but might have a mini grumble!

Dd not at nursery today so taking the kids to the park with my friend and her Dd then chilling for rest of day as was mega busy yesterday

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 29/03/2012 09:18

Checking in - Hey Ladies.

Sky is very chesty :( but still happy & smiley & up twice a night at the moment due to coughing, sneezing & wanting feeding!

Darcie's birthday party today she is soooo excited its an understatement lol.

Plan for the day:
Get us all ready for school run - check
Open all windows - check
Sort bottles
Bleach bin - in process of doing so
Hoover & polish
Get washing out on the line.
Ironing
Wait for Sainsbos food delivery.
Tidy Darcies room - it looks like a tornado had blown thru!
Go & get some fuel - If I can!
Pick up Darcies birthday present for tomorrow.

Chill!

MsB the tree planting was lovely. We have 60 saplings here as part of 6m being planted nationwide. One of them is a Royal Oak from the royal estate. Even better they're planted in a corner of the village pub garden, so I think we'll be doing lots of 'checking how the trees are growing'!

Oi love the new thread name

We're going to Rhyme Time this morning and then to tots group at school where we're having a little egg hunt. Another lovely sunny day here Grin

Checking in - we've had 4 nights if sleeping from 12 to 6 or 7 Bliss! And the great weigh in showed that f had gained the same weight as when I was waking him every 3 hours. We also had our dietitian appt yesterday and f has been put in a high calorie formula to try to boost him up the centiles. Which is what i was hoping for.

DH is being a dick (again). Am sort of hoping its not just us but also not wishing the bickering on any of you. DS1 was up lots on Tuesday night and DH got up with him as he is in a right daddy phase and I didn't hear him . Then was being really martyrish about it. Felt like I was expected to thank him for getting up with his own son. And then there is eerything else to bicker about Grump grump grump.

AWomanCalledHorse · 29/03/2012 09:50

Place marking. DS still being a crap feeder during the day (going onto comfort milk today). Thankfully DH is off work today.

Hope everyone has a good day (we've got glorious sunshine in London)

DSM, hope Darcie has a fantastic day!

jigglebum · 29/03/2012 10:30

Morning - thanks for the new thread. Freya is waking earlier too through to hunger. Last week we went 730 - 730 fairly consistently but now waking between 5 and 6am for a feed and then going back down. I can't complain but I can't get back to sleep then very well. Do you think this is why people use to wean at 4months, as they are clearly getting hungrier?

Beautiful weather here. I am going to try and get out and mow the lawn with Freya in the shade in her chair but have to tackle the housework first.

Tried to get petrol this morning as genuinely have none but could not be arsed with the massive queues - it is crazy. I will try again later but I hate hate hate queuing and especially when people don't really need it but are panicing.

After a lovely 3 week break as inlaws were on holiday we are back to having them here at the weekend and DIY. I really don't enjoy it and it makes DH and I snap at each other. DS also turns into a devil child as MIL spoils him. I am going to take the DCs out for some of the day tomorrow anyway or I will go mad with 2 days of the inlaws.

suppose I should go and get on with some of this housework!

BJR · 29/03/2012 10:30

Love the new thread name!

Hawthers dont worry you're not on your own with the man being a pain. DP looked after DS for the first time this week for just less than 3 hours so I could go out for dinner with a friend, absolute disaster and he had to go out for a drive when i got home as he'd found it too much ... he might not have found it so hard if he attempted to put the baby to bed instead of putting him on the play mat in a bright room while watching tv and playing the guitar! Anyway hope your DH sorts himself out soon. Hope the high calorie formula helps F with the weight gain.

DSM Hope Darcie has a lovely birthday and i'm very envious of you're organisation with the cleaning it's just not an ability I possess!

DS has also upped the night feeding again, its a bit of a shock to the system i've got used to my sleep! I think some of it might be comfort feeding though as his teeth are really bugging him, I can feel a couple of sharp bits through his gums now bless him.

CherryBlossom27 · 29/03/2012 10:31

Hi all, having a nightmare with a hungry baby and wanting to give him solids, but holding off until at least 17 weeks...anyone else having this problem? On the positives DS seems fine in the warmer weather and he's still cooing and gurgling away which makes me smile :)

Figgygal · 29/03/2012 10:37

Marking place before joining the ridiculous panic buying twits in the q at the garage as my petrol light is on and i actually need it. God i hate panic buyers and im going to hate even more being in a q and people thinking i am one Angry

Figgygal · 29/03/2012 10:39

And cherry yes im in same boat with a 17lb bruiser at 14 weeks who devours 8.5 oz every 2.5 hrs and im at a loss what to do with him. He does sleep through though so i guess he fuelling up in day but think once that stops will be forced to feed him.

OiMissus · 29/03/2012 10:42

It sounds like we all have hungry babies - and yes, I can guess that this is why everyone starts to think of weaning at 4 months. Hungry + teething = give them something harder to chew on. Kinda makes sense...
Glad the tree planting went well (beer garden - perfect!)
Hope Darcie has a fab party.
Right. Fingers crossed that Ali doesn't scream the gym down at swimming today, like he has for the past few weeks. It's such a shame! :(

OP posts:
jigglebum · 29/03/2012 10:54

figgy yep me too - petrol light on and really don't want to look like an idiot panic buying.

freya is chewing on everything and gums very sharp so reckon teeth coming here too.

freya only probably about 14 lbs so can still up the milk before needing food but can see why bigger babies might need to start before 6 months

LittleMissFlustered · 29/03/2012 12:13

Hope Darcie has a magic day:)

Went to clinic, have been referred to the asthma specialist inhaler guru for the city to get some practical advice about managing Edward's chest. She was fabulous with my older bog when he was referred so I'm hoping we can work out something that eases his breathing and my mind a little.

Enjoy the sun ladies:)

HoneyLovesCake · 29/03/2012 12:36

Wondering if I'm missing something here...what do you mean by hungry babies? Are they upset, not satisfied after feeding or just feeding all the time? DS is the latter but I thought this was normal given how small their tummies are & how many calories they need to grow.

Kitty5824 · 29/03/2012 12:39

We are having a grizzly fartastic day. Am gearing up for a poomageddon incident at some point in the next few hours Wink

My funky giraffe bibs have arrived. Is someone here on commission? Grin

Off to the park with pate sandwiches for me...I've unpacked a summer skirt so will be blinding people in the vicinity with my pasty white legs....

mopsytop · 29/03/2012 13:22

Hi all!! Survived first 2 hrs at nursery-I stayed an hr then left her for an hour. I cried but she was totally grand! Didn't even notice I'd gone.

mopsytop · 29/03/2012 13:33

And happy birthday Darcie!

OiMissus · 29/03/2012 13:42

My mortgage application has been approved! It's all systems go now!!

I wish I was on commission from the Funky Giraffe people! Grin

It was a new swim instructor so I told her that Alistair cries after submersion, so she did that at the end of the class. Perfect! - And he hardly cried at all. Smile

msbuggywinkle · 29/03/2012 14:16

Glad that it went well mopsy. Don't worry, you will soon settle Grin

DSM hope Darcie has a lovely day.

oi congratulations!

Just got back from Forest School. Lots of tree climbing, fire lighting and we made soup for lunch from wild greens. Now balancing out the wholesome-ness with sweets and a film.

aethelfleda · 29/03/2012 14:22

Marking my place- love the thread name!!

Hooray mopsy for nursery success, that's great!

Hapy birthday to Darcie too.

It's a lovely day here: DS is constantly feeding again, I think it's just cos it's hot and sunny rather than anything growy.

Rashkakeller · 29/03/2012 15:32

Breaking news: both kids napping at the same time shocks mother of 2 in the Midlands...

Won't last.

Congrats Oi!!

Great news, Mopsy. It will get better for you each time as you see her thrive and 100% easier as minimopsy is so chilled about it.

Glad you have been referred Lmf, must be a huge worry for you.

Happy party day to Darcie!! We've book a party at a soft play centre for dd's 3rd Birthday and because my biomum, her dh, my sis, bil and their kids are on their holibobs on the day, we're arranging a meal at Frankie and Bennys the week before as well. It's turning out to be bigger than the Queen's Diamond Jubilee

Forest School sounds fun, Msbuggy! We missed the park today because the girls wanted to play in the sandpit but considering the arguing they did, I wish we'd done the park!

Pate sandwiches nom nom...

Ds woke with a chorus of farts! I got half an hour/cuppa/frazzles so not bad
