why are you on this thread then? If you have bothered to post, you may as well look, you know you want to, it will make you feel quite superior i think.

HumphreyCobbler Wed 25-Jan-12 22:31:02

I stopped engaging swc, I cannot deal with the muddy thinking and lack of logic anymore.
Am amused that someone brought up Thatcher so soon, only a few posts in.

She invented whippy ice cream you know

therehastobemore Wed 25-Jan-12 22:32:25

i think thats what she wanted all the milk for

That video was from before the election. And was depressingly accurate.

HumphreyCobbler Wed 25-Jan-12 22:33:24

Imagine if I posted 'Look at this, it explains how left wing people manage to be so stupid and yet maintain a postition of superiority SO well" therehastobemore.

I am sure you would pop in for a bit of a chat

My appetite for left-wing puerility has been well and truly sated after the last few days on here.

well, maybe this is in response to the rightwing "why the fuss about the benefits cap? 26k is a fortune ffs, if I had my way we'd be building workhouses. How hard is it to get a job hmm" threads on here atm.

Just sayin'

therehastobemore Wed 25-Jan-12 22:37:46

Well if you posted an amusing video clip to go with it, id have a look, i would.

its all my fault anyway - i voted liberal democrat (hands head in shame)

I really dont take it all that seriously because i will openly admit to my knowledge of politics being fairly limited.

HumphreyCobbler Wed 25-Jan-12 22:38:11

the thing is, I know lots of intelligent lefties who still manage to be friends with me (scum that I am). We enjoy talking about politics, disagreeing about politics, sharing political stuff. Can you tell I am quite interested in politics?

It is only on mumsnet I meet such abject specious superior wanky antagonism towards us economic libertarians.

The imaginary son thread springs to mind....

pippibluestocking Wed 25-Jan-12 22:39:49

Well, I laughed Op, albeit poignantly. You seem to have touched a raw nerve with quite a few Tories though, can't imagine why!

HumphreyCobbler Wed 25-Jan-12 22:40:33

<waves at SWC>

have you ventured onto those threads then SWC - I have not been able to face it? Congratulations for sticking with it.

Ha ha, my above post basically says
"Some of best friends are left wing...."

's true actually. None of them have ever called me a cunt.

therehastobemore Wed 25-Jan-12 22:42:25

I will say this though, quietly, before i get flamed - 26K? I dream of a family income of 26k seriously. And we have a huge mortgage. We have tax credits but we dont have anywhere NEAR that coming into our house. And that, is comprehensively, all i have to say about that. My husband works 6 days a week, 12 hours a day, he is a builder.
