Grin

I know I would appreciate prayers as I face the prospect that the Littlest Dippy starts school in a few short weeks (w/c 12th Sept to be precise). Feeling a little wobbly to say the least ......

my DD starts playgroup in September, as she is an October birthday, not allowed to start nursery class until next September... she'll be fine though and I will get a bit more of a break, as she will combine it with keeping going to the childminder. Just hoping we will be able to afford it until Christmas, hopefully tax credits can help us out... after that she will get her 15 hours for free :)

gingercurl · 25/08/2011 09:59

Little Ginger starts in reception first week in September. Last day at nursery tomorrow. I think I'm finding the thought of him leaving nursery the most unsettling. He's been there for 3 years. They know him so well and he knows them, has so many friends, etc.

blackeyedsusan · 25/08/2011 12:45

ds starts nursery in a couple of weeks... aand we are making no progress with the potty trainiing, he is refusing to use the potty regularly, when he does sit on the potty, he can do a poo in his nappy about 5 minutes after being on the potty. with the toddlerr diarrhoea, it is not possible to use pants... i am extremely embarressed that I am sending another child to that nursey who isn't trained.

amberlight · 25/08/2011 13:00

Prayers all round. Here, prayers of thanks to God and all people praying for us - just back from Surgeon and he's v v pleased with the results from the chemo and wants to do just a small operation rather than full mastectomy. Oh phew....

thejaffacakesareonme · 25/08/2011 13:19

Fantastic news Amber!

BES - I'm sure the staff are used to it. Maybe he'll be better with strangers dealing with the potty training or with the peer pressure of having other kids around him.

DS2 would be starting reception if we were in England. As we are in Scotland though I get to keep him at home for another year. I'm relieved as he has some speech issues and I don't know how he would cope with starting school now.

madhairday · 25/08/2011 14:20

Helllooooooo!

I'm back from the land of no internet, which went on for slightly longer than we hoped.

Te move has gone really well. House is excellent and the dc are loving it too. Now getting some family chill time in before we all start work and school.

I will certainly be praying for all of you with littlies starting school. I was v wobbly when ds started, he will now be starting Y3 and I'm wobbly about him finishing infants! Always something Grin

Missed you all - any news to catch up on?

SweetestThing · 25/08/2011 16:56

amber, fabulous news, so very pleased for you!

Prayers for all of you with LOs starting school - not got any in that position but DS goes off to uni in a few weeks and will be about 400 miles from us and I will miss him :(

Struggling to eat at the moment and can't keep anything down once I do manage to eat, so feeling very sorry for myself and totally selfish. Bad day today :(

DutchOma · 25/08/2011 17:00

Thanks for the new thread Dippy. We missed you at the meet-up, but yes, we had a lovely time.
TACP, BES, Mary, all with two children, Soozi with two children and Mr Soozi (hooray, he was brilliant) Baroque, PositiveAttitude came from all over the place, one lady came with her little one from our church. She said she would sign up to the prayer thread, but RL probably has taken over. Judy came to help, so we were nine adults and nine children. Brilliant day.

PositiveAttitude · 25/08/2011 17:12

Thanks Dippy. Smile

Great news Amber.

Prayers for you continuing Sweetest.

Prayers for all the New Beginnings happening over the coming weeks.

DD2 heads off to London on the 24th.
DH and I have a big interview on the 15th. 5 hours driving to get to it, interview then 5 hours drive home. - and we need to be on the ball and dynamic when we are there! Hmm I will tell you a bit more nearer the time, but if you have a spare prayer, it would be appreciated.
DD3 is really not well again and desperate to be well enough to do her hairdressing course.
A good (accountancy) job for DD1 would be good - she has a job in KFC just to bring some money in at the moment.

Thanks.

amberlight · 25/08/2011 17:23

Sweetest, sounds like you need some stronger antisickness whatsits...much prayer for you. And praying for you also PA...that's a heck of a lot of driving. Can you stay over somewhere overnight to break it up??

PositiveAttitude · 25/08/2011 18:27

Thanks Amber. We have looked into it, but it is a third of the cost to do it in one day because of the stupid boat fare! Also, we are reluctant to leave the DC here overnight without us - stupid, I know, they are all old enough, but still!!

madhairday · 25/08/2011 19:05

Amber - brilliant news! Just reading a bit more. That's so great!!

madhairday · 25/08/2011 19:11

Oh wow just read end of old thread and thrilled to see so many answers to prayer! BlueTinkerbell, that's incredibly exciting and look forward to chatting about it over coffee soon!

Praying for all side effects of drugs etc, and job applications, and all other stuff....

and Dippy, great to see you :)

PositiveAttitude · 25/08/2011 19:54
