Your challenge should you choose to accept it, is to build the best wooden train track you can, then post a picture on your profile.

The winner's prize...fame and notoriety!

Good luck!

DS is throwing his track around the room. I am ignoring. Oh, no, he is making a circle now. I would take a pic but it's a circle...

Report
dragonbutter · 05/02/2009 15:41

hey at this rate a circle might just win it!

Oh me me me! Can I enter? But DH has hidden the camera data cable so I can't get the picture up yet. I am going to disturb him at work so I can get my picture up

Do we have to build it ourselves? Or can we get our dc to build it? because I know ds would do a much beter job than I would!

Report
dearprudence · 05/02/2009 16:20

Dammit! I can make a brilliant Brio track with 2 bridges and a tunnel and all linked in with a Plan City road set.

And I'm really competitive.

Problem is, I was just about to tear myself away from MN and watch deal or no deal start the tea.

So now you won't believe me. Ah well, I'll do it later when we go up for quality time.

Report
dragonbutter · 05/02/2009 16:21

i guess you can let the kids do it.
shall we have a 6 o'clock deadline?

What time does the competition close? "Entries made after this time may not be counted, but will be charged".

Report
dearprudence · 05/02/2009 16:23

x post. But no, 6 o'clock is too early. How about 8pm? Then we can post pics after the DC have gone to bed.

Report
dragonbutter · 05/02/2009 16:25

ok 8 o'clock is fine.
entries made after this time will not be counted even if they include a multiple layered train track or are just pure brilliance.

I did a Brio Christmas once, with all the Island of Sodor trains lined up outside the engine shed, wearing tiny felt santa hats, and Sir Topham Hatt switching on the xmas tree lights... but the photo is on the old PC.

dragonbutter · 05/02/2009 16:34

is anybody actually doing this challenge?
can you just check in here to see how many entries we're going to have.

It's up, but rubbish compared to a DH attempt. There is a bonus snowman pic there for good measure.

SoMuchToBits · 05/02/2009 16:43

Ds currently has the train set out. So long as he finishes it by 8pm we will be entering!

well done mrsgboring.
if your DH insists he can do better, then get him to post a picture and we'll decide.
