We've been asked by Dyson to find 15 MNers who are willing and able to try out the new Dyson Digital Slim - DC44.
Dyson say "The Dyson Digital Slim(tm) is one of Dyson's newest inventions and is a lightweight cordless vacuum cleaner, engineered for nimble, high performance spot cleaning. From cobwebs in corners to quick skirting boards and stairs, it is balanced for floor to ceiling cordless cleaning.
Dyson's DC44 is also perfect for quick clean ups - so you'll be ready for any surprise visitors this festive period"
More info here
We're looking for MNers to try this who:
~ are around between now and Christmas eve to receive the product (and ideally have a house-full of guests)
~ are at home over Christmas break to try it out (it's ideal for whizzing round under the tree)
~ willing to add feedback - at least twice - to a thread on Mumsnet over the festive season - we'll be looking for you to add your responses to some questions and also to add further thoughts
~ willing to add a review here
~ are in the UK
Dyson would also like to set MNers some challenges with their DC44 - these will be sent to the selected testers and you'll be asked to add your feedback on how you got on with the challenges.
We're also looking for the testers to send in some video footage of the DC44 being used around the home - and completing the challenges. If you're happy to make a film for Dyson please tick the box on the application form. If you're selected you'll be asked to film yourself, your children and any pets in your home using the DC44. This shouldn't be too onerous. You'll then need to send in your footage to MN. Please note the videos will then be edited into a montage and will feature on dyson.co.uk as well as on the Dyson YouTube channel and possibly elsewhere (eg Facebook, MN) - your name will not be used. You will be sent notes on filming.
If you'd like to take part please add your details here
Please note : if selected products will be sent out this week for delivery before Christmas - please only apply if you are around then for delivery and can also feedback. And for those not successful on becoming a tester, you will be emailed by MN details of a special Christmas treat from Dyson.
If you add feedback as required you will be able to keep the product.
Thanks MNHQ
PS if you don't get selected or aren't able to apply for this test, please keep an eye out for the feedback thread where you could win a Dyson product of your choice.

Ooooh please me! I despise my ancient Panasonic hoover, its heavy and hurts to carry round my tiny and dirty house.
I have my whole family (Mum, 2 sisters and BIL) coming to stay for xmas and havn't even started tidying yet. And I'm a bit of a hoarder
. Would love to try this!

Done.
<keeps everything crossed>
Oh wow that looks perfect for my house, we have solid fuel heating so the dining room with the stove in is always very dusty and I constantly have to do the skirting boards and picture rails and so on. Not to mention the floor to ceiling bookshelves in there. We are away over christmas though
Would dyson be happy wiht it being tested half in this house and half at my mum's with a house full of guests? [hopeful].

Have put my details down, hoping to get a chance to try this out to wage war on the dog hair, cobwebs, Christmas tree needles and dust from the open fire in our barn.
Trying to send my application but it won't seem to go through. Is it possible to check if it's been received?
Would love to do this one!

Fingers crossed for this one, kind of excited to see what the challenges are, and really hoping that one is to throw crisps all over the floor, stamp on them then try to vac them up!

I'd love to try it. I had a Dyson many years ago, and was not happy with it, (no loss of suction, because there was no suction in the first place) but would love to be proved wrong.

Done - this could save my sanity over Christmas
Oooh I would love to test this! Have been intrigued by the advert and am looking to replace old and trusty, but starting to struggle big Dyson. I have a house full of preschoolers over the Christmas break as working aside from the Bank Holidays - and then I have family over so plenty of mess to clear up!
Also not sure if application went through - was redirected to mumsnet product review page after i clicked send - is that correct?

Please pretty please pick me!!!
Me please (pretty please) We have a rather elderly dyson who really should retire but this Christmas as usual DD1 is bringing my grandson to spend the holidays with us, sadly that means that Harry has to come too!
Harry is a cocker spaniel who moults for England and makes hard work of the festive season. Please I'm begging
