Ok, the old thread is nearly full. If you read the other three, I don't need to re-write everything again ;)

But you know I am referring to the case involving an Italian mother and the British social services.
Opinions welcome.

Caveat.

Reasonable, logical, fact and evidenced-based opinions welcome.

Wannabestepfordwife · 13/12/2013 20:26

Bloody hell the rate we're going the debate is going to be longer than war and peace Grin

MadameDefarge · 13/12/2013 20:27

In a true democracy the dialogue between government and the people is never ending'...

DrankSangriaInThePark · 13/12/2013 20:29

Xmas Grin

Is Spero at her works do tonight? She isn't away to meet He Who Shall Be Named Whenever We Fucking Feel Like It behind the Brownie hut is she?

(If people haven't read the end of thread 3 they are going to be mighty confused at the turn things have a-taken to be sure...)

msvee · 13/12/2013 20:30

In a nutshell?

MadameDefarge · 13/12/2013 20:34

In a nutshell?

Yes, the system has flaws and is definitely wheezing under the strain of cuts. Needs serious attention.

But no, poor lady wasn't actually hard done by. Just horrible case. Sad for all involved. Sadder still to have been used by various individuals to promote their own conspiracy theories.

And John Hemming still refuses, two years on, to publish his much vaunted statistics that children are being taken into care in order for LAs to have them adopted so as to get a bonus.

CarpeVinum · 13/12/2013 20:36

Reasonable, logical, fact and evidenced-based opinions welcome.

Flagrant Discrimination!

Grin

johnhemming · 13/12/2013 20:38

The Bangladeshi woman had a VBAC today according to reports. Which demonstrates that the Jackson J judgment was better than the Mostyn J judgment (as I said on thread 3 before going to the Brownies).

DrankSangriaInThePark · 13/12/2013 20:38

Yup. Discrimination against total bollocks.

I'm getting those horrid images again

DrankSangriaInThePark · 13/12/2013 20:39

Arghhhhhhhh.

DrankSangriaInThePark · 13/12/2013 20:39

Or Lupus in fabula as we like to say behind my Brownie hut.

LakeDistrictBabe · 13/12/2013 20:40

@Carpe hahaha indeed!

@MadameDefarge can't stop the conspiracists to post. They're everywhere lol

OP posts:
MadameDefarge · 13/12/2013 20:40

It demonstrates no such thing. It simply proves this lady was able to have a bvac despite valid concerns. Good for her.

It proves nothing about the other case.

LakeDistrictBabe · 13/12/2013 20:43

@johnhemming

Don't derail the thread again! What has the Bangladeshi woman has to do with that? Or are we going to name any woman who had a VBAC instead of a csection, or viceversa?

now husband stopped eating brownies too, your fault hemming

OP posts:
MadameDefarge · 13/12/2013 20:43

Why you think the medical needs of one woman is interchangeable with that of another is perplexing.

Are we the only people to actually engage with you John? I feel you enjoy our company a bit too much for your own good. But there will come a time when even we will cease to indulge your random assertions.

MadameDefarge · 13/12/2013 20:45

Hope that an evening jumping over the mushroom and sewing badges on has improved your processing abilities.

MadameDefarge · 13/12/2013 20:47

'Maverick MP John Hemming in MN love fight'

That's a nice headline. Where could we place it?

CarpeVinum · 13/12/2013 20:50

love fight?

johnhemming · 13/12/2013 20:59

Actually today is another success in the criminal court of appeal.

CarpeVinum · 13/12/2013 21:05

They are individual human beings. The fact that they both have mental illness isn't a green light to dehumanise them to the point of "interchanable units previously containing a baby".

I didn't have a particularly high opinion of your sensitivity towards mental illness, and your personal history suggests a "male feminist of the year" award doesn't loom in your future... but christ on bike, new depths evidently still there to be plumbed.

LakeDistrictBabe · 13/12/2013 21:06

@johnhemming how do the kittens fit with the rest? Is that your army against the social services actions? Throwing kittens at them? I am going to call RSPCA!

OP posts:
johnhemming · 13/12/2013 21:06

I don't understand where that relates to the kitten photos or indeed anything else.

johnhemming · 13/12/2013 21:08

Carpevinum started the feline issues going. It was merely a response to that.

I am not a supporter of state control of the media anyway.

MadameDefarge · 13/12/2013 21:09

I meant love in an ironic way.
