How nice - a new thread and some champers!

Anyway I have a question: I was reading a website last night that confused me about the whole counting the days of your cycle thing. What it said was if you have a 28 day cycle the first day of your AF was day 1?then on the 28th day you get your AF - which becomes day 1 again: so day 28 and day 1 are the same. Is that what you guys are doing? I think I may have been counting wrong.

Sn0wflake - that is what my cycle is, but I have been calling it a 27 day cycle - how confusing!

Snowflake, I count the last day before AF as the last day of that cycle and the first day of AF as day 1 of the new cycle! Seems simpler that way!

Cindy, thanks a million for the ovarian reserve test info. I might investigate if nothing happens this month; it will give me something to focus on! I'm now 5 days post ov and we followed the DP to the letter (phew). It was slightly easier than expected because my cycle now seems to be back to what it was before my mc, which means that ov was a little earlier than it was last month, a relief. I'm trying not to symptom spot at this ridiculously early stage! How are you doing? x

Ilovebeingamummy - so sorry hon, how horrid. Hope you feel okay. I think we know our bodies well so maybe you should give bf a rest? how old is your little one?

re war in the womb - have recorded it. can;t wait...

Cindy - can;t see details of test on old thread but would love to know about it. Another thing I can obsess over

queenie - are you feeling betetr after row with dh?

We have BDd days 11/12/13 (so not quite dp this month). We're both out at christmas parties tonight but we're aiming for 15/16/17/18 too as I usually ovulate day 16-18. Fingers crossed...

yellow that sounds like a girl with a plan even if its not spot on DP it seems right for your cycle.

CD6 for me today and last clomid pill YEAHHHHH so should ov 10 days after pill. OPK usually goes +ive on day 14 so am aiming for DP and hope it works

Last month it worked out perfectly for dates but just not a lucky month as ff said details of bding was high so hope can get same this month. (but with the BFP)

Snowflake I count AF as CD1 and then continue till CD28 (normally am a 28 day cycle except last month it turned to a 29!!) and then the next day is my AF which is CD1 again. So CD28 does not have any AF whatsoever, that determines the cycle days

yellow I completed a Boots fertility test to check my ovarian reserve was okay and that I did not have too many FSH which can stop you ovulating. It is expensive but it made me feel a lot better that my reserve was at the normal level. I would say do not try it unless you get desperate like moi!!! I tell you ttc is proving to be expensive with all the OPK sticks and then the pg tests!!

And for the test info from Boots. I will do it if this cycle does not produce a BFP.

Not a lot to report from me - I'm currently on CD15 so in the midst of BD marathon. Although we're not going for it as much as last month - trying quality over quantity. I don't usually OV until CD19/20 and started the BD fest way too early last month. My DH has only just recovered and I'm trying to be gentle with him this month

Have run out of grapefruit juice - must just pop out and get some.

am i being silly in not buying opk sticks... I really want to... but I am so worried about feeding my obsession... I keep thinking once I go down that road I'll be even more obsessed than I am now

then again - is not good to not know when you ov...

Iggypiggy If you are not entirely sure when you OV then I would suggest trying the OPK's for a month or two.

I wasn't sure when I OV'd and tried them last month. It confirmed that I OV later than I had thought - so a very useful exercise.

I know what you mean about it turning into more of an obsession though and I'm not using them this month - Ihope I know how my cycle works now and what to look out for.

Hi all- can I join you? Heres the low down....

I'm 27, DH is 29. I have a 5yo DD from a previous relationship. We have been TTC (with many problems along the way!!) since Jan 07. We have had a few months off here and there (mostly to miss our wedding which was Dec 07!). DH had a SA in Jan 08 and that was fine apart from slightly low morphology but clinic said it was not a problem. Finally conceived after vits and acupuncture in April 08 only to miscarry at 9 weeks. Unfortunately had to go on the pill after the miscarriage due to Endo flare up but have just had a lap and dye done (still got the stitches in my belly button!) and consultant has told me that there are no longer any restrictions to TTC so we are going for it big style!!

Personally, it seems that we have a few little problems each (my very mild endo, his low sperm morph) and together combined we have the fertility of a pair of Pandas!!

Here as our plan to help us along the way....

  1. Marilyn Glenville 'natural solutions to infertility' vitamin plan. (available on her website- said to reduce miscarriage too) and pycnogenol for DH.

  2. Deanna plan (although after a few weeks off sex due to lap am having trouble sticking to every other day! )

  3. RELAXING- was very wound up about conceiving before. Not saying that I don't care about it now but got a big fat reality check about what was important after the MC so trying to steer clear of the 'obsessed' road- I'll let you know how that goes!!

  4. 2 litres of water a day

    Hope you are all well anyway and hope we have good news soon x

i think its nice and lightheated here too. i am trying the deanna plan too, but sometimes if the dates clash over a weekend or if we away it doesnt stick to everyother day.

am also using fertility friend to guide me on my way and remaining calm and collected

Am using OPKs for the next 2 months just to make sure cycle has kicked back in. Was on the pill for 5 months- not sure whether I will ov this month. Am on day 12 since my withdrawl bleed- anyone got any experience of this? Do you ov in the cycle after stopping pill or ov later or not at all?
