I promised myself I'd give myself a break from TTC number 2 for a couple of months - but as I approach ovulation this weekend I'm not sure I can help myself Wink

Is anyone else in the same boat as me?

Maybe we can get lucky together...

Yes, Sat or Sun are my most likely dates. Previously I would have said that I wouldn't want a Christmas baby, but I'm on cycle 9 TTC#1 so I don't care any more! Grin

I've being saying that too. I never liked the idea of having a Xmas day baby.

But now I think I love that time of year so much, why not add another great day of celebration to the month of December?!

Yes ladies! I love having this online support, as I don't like talking to friends and family about TTC, as it makes me look looney. There's been way too many times in the last year that I've sworn I feel pregnant and I haven't been. Confused

From now on I'm determined to surprise my husband with a positive test. Smile

I hate falsely getting his hopes up.

mumtoason87 what a lovely idea to surprise him with a BFP :) I know what you mean about 'feeling pregnant', last cycle I could have sworn I was preggars but after 3 BFN's I finally gave in and awaited AF. DH is so sick of me getting 'symptoms', last cycle I walked into the living room, pulled up my top and said 'look how big my boobs have got, I must be preggars' think he's relieved that I've joined MN as now I have some other peeps to talk to about all this stuff :)

That's so funny, I'm exactly the same.

The TWW is the worst. Every little twinge is heightened.

I always cave and test too early, and get nasty evap lines on those cheap Internet tests - and spend all day blinding myself looking for the lineSad

I need to try and break these bad habits!

Eek can I join please, Trying for dc3 and this is the first time I have actually planned a pregnancy, as dc1 was a pleasant surprise :) and dc2 happened before I had time to blink so although this is cycle 1 I feel like I am under pressure to pass some sort of test I have set myself!
Due to ovulate from Wednesday on and it's so hard to not picture myself as pg already, I actually love the thought of a xmas baby (perfect timing to start mat leave and something to keep us busy in the dreary jan/feb months :) )

Me too! According to an online ovulation predictor I'm fertile from this Sat/Sun. I started TTC last month and all the symptom-spotting and "Am I, aren't I?" drove me mad - I'm not really looking forward to going through it all again, to be honest. I'm feeling very pressured by it all (the pressure is from myself, no one else is doing it!) which can't be good for my chances of a successful conception. Hoping to find a way to relax about it all, but I'm not sure what that is!

Yep, due to ovulate on Saturday, which happens to be my birthday Grin although FF changed my ovulation date to Friday last night because I put in watery CM which I had! Grrrrrrrrr!

Same as others, on god knows what cycle (guessing 8 or 9), started with the attitude of "I wouldn't want a baby in December, August, or in the summer preferably". Now i'm of the opinion that a baby any time of year is fine. In fact I'm getting married next May and won't be stopping this August. If I give birth of my wedding day, who cares!

Oh and hey honey :D

I'm testing every day and hoping to get a smiley face on my opk this weekend :-)

I'm ovulating now. I have a worry about a Christmas baby and hospital staff. I'm worried that there will only be a skeleton staff at Christmas that don't really want to be there and are preoccupied with other things. Studies show that people in hospital get much worse care on a weekend then a weekday so I wonder if Bank Holidays are even worse?

Hi Rufus. I'm an NHS manager and I can assure you that's not the case! Rotas are the same, it's just another working day. Try not to worry and just enjoy ttc for your baby Smile

How funny is it that you don't normally tell people when you have sex (especially not strangers) ..... But I know what we are all doing this week x
