Here, we go, nice new thread.
Might be helpful to have some stats so we know where we all are?

I will start, farfallarocks - TTC#2, cycle 11. 1st brooking baby DD, 21 months. Investigations reveal high FSH and potentially starting IVF.

OP posts:
Pastamancer · 14/08/2014 13:56

Pastamancer checking in.

Currently 10 weeks pregnant with brooking baby number 2. Brooking baby number 1 is now 26 months old.

cartoontrickster · 14/08/2014 18:17

hiya ladies. hopefully we can entice some newbies too!
trix brooking baby boy 7months.

Fox28 · 14/08/2014 20:57

Ahh this is nice Smile

Fox28. Brooking baby girl 5 days old!! So not ttc just yet! But here brooking for everyone else Smile

cartoontrickster · 14/08/2014 20:58

5 days fox! how's it all going?

Fox28 · 15/08/2014 03:47

It's going well thanks trix! DD is lovely Smile She seems to be changing and growing every day though, and I want her to stay little for just a bit longer. I just know the time is going to go so quickly Sad

Maybe - I know you asked for my birth story. It's in the antenatal thread if oh you want to take a look (but be warned it does go on a bit!)

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 15/08/2014 07:54

Hello everyone!

Too - brooking toddler 2.5, brooking baby 5 weeks.

Today is my first day alone with the two of them and I'm ridiculously petrified! Dreading DS waking up in case DD damages him again. Is it too early to go to the park?

cartoontrickster · 15/08/2014 16:20

how's it been today too
fox it goes so fast I miss my tiny little baby.

keepitgoing · 16/08/2014 09:42

fox I cried on day 3 as I'd never get to do those first two days again Smile

keep - brooking baby 9 months. not exactly trying but not exactly preventing, but no AF anyway...

NoMaybeAboutIt · 16/08/2014 10:42

Lovely Fred Grin

Amazing story Fox! How are you finding everything?

How'd it go Too?

Newborn snuggles are the best. I'm so pleased A still loves to sleep on my chest. Apart from when I need a wee. Then I wish she'd sleep in her crib Wink

What's everyone up to today?

cartoontrickster · 16/08/2014 18:18

I'm the same maybe. I rarely put N to nap in his cot I much prefer to cuddle him. its probably the only time I get a cuddle!

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 16/08/2014 19:05

Morning was busy but ok (major sock-related tantrum notwithstanding), got out to the park, got M down for her nap ok, but then she woke up really grumpy and went from one tantrum to another all afternoon! R was soooo good, though. Newborns are a breeze compared to toddlers.

I am a terrible mother: I let R fall off the spare bed! I put him down and turned away and he promptly rolled off (how? how?) and hit his head on the Hoover on his way down. He seems fine, though, so the crippling guilt is abating slightly. He was quite perky once he stopped crying. Anyone else remember the Brooker whose baby fell off the bed and fractured their skull?

keepitgoing · 17/08/2014 14:10

fox lovely birth story congratulations! I too don't get why they refuse to examine people. it's not like it takes long. I went from 3-10cm in 2 hours or so Hmm

keepitgoing · 17/08/2014 14:11

Envy of sleeping baby cuddles. mine only sleeps in her cot the last few months and too wriggly while awake to ever stay still

keepitgoing · 17/08/2014 14:12

pasta when's your scan?

cartoontrickster · 17/08/2014 18:45

agree about the lack of examinations i had N 2hrs after they put me on the hormone drip (induced) i asked for g&a was told it was too soon even though they hadn't examined me. shortly after that he was born.
can i puree passion fruit?

Fox28 · 17/08/2014 20:17

I'm glad everyone's in agreement about lack of examinations! It's surprising how many of us have experienced the same thing! I was talking to a friend today who has a newborn too, and she was told she couldn't have another examination as they have a policy of waiting for 4 hours between exams due to risk of infection. So could be that?? You'd think they'd make exceptions though!

Things are going well thanks maybe. We had our first proper trip out today and walked into town. I'm so glad I did it as I felt so nervous being out of the house with F on day 5 when we had to go for her midwife appointment. It was much better today.

Sounds scary Too! But glad R seems ok. Poor brooker whose baby fractured their skull! Shock

Pastamancer · 17/08/2014 20:27

Scan is 27th. I didn't have a problem with a lack of examinations, just that they kept telling me that I wasn't even 1cm yet

keepitgoing · 17/08/2014 21:13

well done fox! it's hard to remember everything, work the pram, feed the baby while out at first, but it doesn't take long! xx

Fox28 · 18/08/2014 08:17

Definitely hard to remember everything keep - we popped to a friends quickly before our trip out, and had to admit we couldn't stop long as I forgot to pick up F's changing bag! I must've looked a right idiot Smile

cartoontrickster · 18/08/2014 09:43

fox I went to my mums recently with no milk powder! I only realised when N wanted a bottle and I couldn't find it Blush

NoMaybeAboutIt · 18/08/2014 14:10

I too had to force an exam. They wouldn't let me in the pool until I was 5cm and I had to beg! I think cos of the hypnobirthing, I wasn't acting as they'd expect.

Glad everything's going well Fox Smile

Trix, not sure about pureeing passion fruit, but you could sieve it to get the seeds out?

Imps9 · 18/08/2014 14:17

Is it a bird?

Is it a plane?

No, it's Mr Far's Super Sperm

Hello all :)

Nice new thread - like what you've done with it in here. Hope to meet some new Brookers too.

My bio then : Imps, 34, TTC No. 1, been 3.5 years off and on, on the way to IVFsville, my tests are okay, Mr Imp's sperm is OF (Officially Fucked). Love being a Brooker!

Wow you as well with the refusal of exams maybe! Yes everything is good - HV came today (day 9) and dd is above birth weight Smile I'm really happy that feeding seems to be working as I worry dd isn't getting enough sometimes
