Ooh, I'm near the beginning! Please can someone explain the lists?

I miscarried last week, I'm 40, this would have been my first.

I usually have a 28 day cycle, and counting from start of mc, would have been day 1 on the 14th. Is that right?

We are trying again - my dp was a lot more upset than we were expecting. Before, this was always about "you and your need for a child" (he has 2 grown-up ones, who I'm very fond of) but I am very excited that dp and I are now actively trying for a family together...

Hey Honeywitch, sorry you find yourself here but you're in good company with this lovely bunch. You've got the hang of the list stats - if this is your first cycle its traditionally known here as the WTF cycle due to its erratic nature and the next one is cycle 1.

tigger I think I forgot to answer your questions about tests and whatnot. We got seen by a consultant who took a whole load of blood from me and one lot from dh. I think it's the same as cheepz said. Karotyping, which takes about 8 weeks to come back and then thyroid, thrombo something to see if I have sticky blood, I can't remember the others as I'm sure there were about 5. He also said they'd tested the last tissue that was taken during the erpc and said it came back as normal but that doesn't mean there's deffo nothing wrong though apparently!

My WTF cycle is nearly over I think... it's a couple of days longer than expected as I normally start spotting CD27...it's now CD29 and nothing yet but have tested and BFN. Hoping things will be back to normal soon!

I am cycle wtf. I had spotting the other day, approx on day 9? No signs of ov or EWCM or anything else that may he deemed remotely interesting.

So, I am slightly disheartened, but never mind.
I am excited for cheepz and envisage myself being there soon!

I popped into Mothercare yesterday to buy them both something and the lady very kindly put the frikkin catalouge I was eyeing in my bag for me.
I'm not saying I didn't want it but I think as I wear my heart on my face the mental pained expression I must have been wearing whilst staring at the cover made her want to get rid of me asap.

I've also confirmed the Baby Shower for Sunday.
Who in their right mind agrees to do a bleedin baby shower 3 days before their EDD should have feckin been!
I really hope I make some dosh to make it worthwhile as if I'm not diffed I'll be going out and getting trollied afterwards!

It will also hopefully pay off long term as it's at a mega posh hotel and they've asked me if they advertise the fact that they will host them will I be willing to go along provide my pampering services.

No, it's not fair. In fact, we've had pretty bloody shitty luck all round.

But I'm trying really really hard not to get caught up in that way of thinking - although I wanted to throttle my GP when she said it to me, I do agree with her that half of the battle with TTC is in the mind. So if you've not got a happy head or a positive outlook, then that's half the battle lost. I just have to keep faith that one day, it WILL happen for us. Easier said than done though, innit?

Seems to be my week of embarassment - not only have I been spotted nipple stroking- but my DPs friend has suggested that we may want to shut the curtains sometimes - as he and his wife spotted me and DP 'getting friendly on the sofa' AKA shagging on the couch. Great. Personally I think he is a peeping tom as you have to crane your neck to look in our windows. But I will take that advice on board!

Can I join? I miscarried last week at 13 weeks - having lost another baby from an ectopic pregnancy back in March this year too. I had an ERPC this Monday and now I'm starting to think about the future again... So I guess I'm on my WTF cycle now (still bleeding from ERPC actually) and we're going to wait a cycle before actually TTC but this seemed like the right place to be....
