.. and counting. MW forecasted our son to arrive on the 28th. The closer I get to that date the harder i find it to move, and the pain in the pelvic area is becoming excruciating. Heartburn has increased in intensity too Sad I feel pretty crappy although DH is a complete angel >.< and I feel SO tired -_- are these signs of impeding labor? i don`t have a show yet and the bump is quite normal ( although sometimes harder than usual ).
->feeling exhausted.

I'm 39+3 today with second LO.
I feel labour is imminent? Feeling rotten though.
I'm burning clary sage and bouncing on ball.

I'm 39+4 and have been scrubbing house all day, had some clear jelly discharge each time I've been to the loo this morning, I'm so hoping it's starting to happen, good luck to you both

Sounds promising.
I emerged from feeling rotten and cleaned the kitchen and vacuumed the downstairs. Now I've retreated back to feeling bleurgh. Quite sicky. I've not eaten much today, don't have the appetite.
Good luck

the only things i had appetite for were jelly babies - the berry mix kind and the milk hazelnut chocolate from lindt. anything else makes me nauseated -- . and ( sorry if TMI ) i feel like my pelvic bones are tearing to pieces --
39+6 today and other than the regular kicks and such from my baby nothing -- oh and because i wasnt feeling crappy enough i got a cough that goes deep in my chest and comes with lots of nasty goo --
i wish there was a fast forward button to this :(

Thank you. We are all packed. Have only got sweets and almonds as snacks though, wonder if I need something else.
Are you packed ?

Report
Way2Tired · 24/02/2015 17:31

been packed since week 34. a bit of a planning freak here -- i didn't get anything for snacks just yet but with my current state probably will supply on the damn jelly babies ( which ofc will go straight on my hips.. and belly ... and so on -- ) . i keep wondering if i will really NEED snacks seeing as i`m gonna be in pain and all that -_-. how do u feel about the incoming labour and all that?

Yes that's true. I have a LO already and the labour wasn't great so I'm a little nervous but have been assured by MW that it will be quicker than previously. I'm looking forward to feeling excited when all gets going and the lovely feelings meeting the babes. It's great experience but I'm naturally apprehensive too. The waiting is long and drawn out, I feel.
How are you feeling?

i am between worried sick and trying for the zen approach. helps that DH is amazing ( although i try not to be a pregzilla :D ). this is our first for us so i`m never really sure what to expect other than not setting any expectations .. and i was never too good at waiting -_- + everyone i know asks me like 2 times a day at least if i am still pregnant .Grin

Re food: yes pack snacks, not just for you but your partner aswell. We took fizzy drinks, bananas, dried fruit, chocolate, and cheese crackers.
You can't eat anything whilst in later stages of labour but if you are in for a while you will be grateful you came prepared. Especially after baby is born you will be ravenous and depending on time of day shops may not be open!! I was devouring a tiramisu yoghurt at 2.30am!!

Report
Way2Tired · 24/02/2015 19:30

hah tiramisu yoghurt? :D

How did MW forecast the 28th?

I went to medium last week(im 50/50 skeptic etc) but she said Id go into labour through the night of the 28th, 4 hour labour.
Obviously she could be wrong, could be a load of crap, but she did get my Dads name right?!?

Report
Way2Tired · 24/02/2015 20:49

:O u saw a medium? like a real, no crap one? no oda mae kind of medium, right?
midwife did whatever midwives do with the date of my last period and all that and came out with 28th .. we`ll see how accurate that is in 3 days :)
bump so active tonight. i think he's studying conga :D

Lol I see, due date, I thought she had some gift. Only 5% of babies born on due date. 25% born in 39th week and 31% born in 40th week.

Dunno we'll see about the medium!?

Way2Tired · 24/02/2015 20:56

i must admit it's the first time i heard of this idea; in hindsight I wish I would have thought of this in time too -_- although I realize the real kind are hard to find I could have used one too .
my work requires me to plan a lot, so i jokingly hope the baby sticks to the plan too and comes on the 28th ( although at this point 28th seems a million light years away :D )

I wish I'd not gone as ive got it in my mind!
I'm due 1st March.
But my Last period date originally gave the 12th March as due date but 12 week scan says 1st March, which confuses me slightly

Way2Tired · 24/02/2015 21:08

woa. that's quite the time difference between them all o.O
i hope whenever baby comes he/she is healthy and well and so will you. the rest will work itself out _

Hi everyone, 40 weeks today. Wasn't really expecting anything to happen but slightly disappointed especially as the any baby yet texts have now started. Going to be a long few days. What's clary sage?

Report
okeydonkey · 24/02/2015 22:26

Clarey sage oil. If you burn in Oil burner or add few drops to bath (in carrier ie drop of milk, to disperse otherwise it just sits in a clump)
Then it promotes contractions.
But read up on it or get MW advice. There's some old threads on here about it
